Alanna Masterson has been added to the cast of "The Walking Dead". Deadline, which broke the news, reports that the 25-year-old actress' character will be recurring in the shows' upcoming season 4 and may become a regular in season 5.
Masterson's role on the AMC series is currently unknown. However, rumors suggest that she will play Tara Chalmers, a member of the Chalmers from Robert Kirkman and Jay Bonansinga's novel "The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor". AMC hasn't denied or confirmed the news.
Masterson, who has appeared in episodes of "Greek" and "Grey's Anatomy", joins newly-added cast member Christian Serratos. The "Twilight" star is set to depict Rosita Espinosa, a major female character introduced in issue 53 of the comic book.
Also starring Andrew Lincoln, Laurie Holden, Steven Yeun, Norman Reedus, Chandler Riggs, Scott Wilson, Melissa McBride, Chad Coleman and Emily Kinney, "The Walking Dead" returns on Sunday, October 13 at 09:00 P.M. ET.
