Katherine Heigl Takes Second Break From 'Grey's Anatomy'
November 12, 2009 04:11:11Just when she returns on this week's episode of "Grey's Anatomy", a report emerges that Katherine Heigl's Izzie Stevens will be out of the screen again. EW's Michael Ausiello cited some sources as saying that the actress wants to take a break from the medical drama again, this time for a personal reason.
Heigl has once taken a hiatus from the show last month to complete her feature movie project "Life as We Know It". While it was for professional reason, this second leave is for her family's sake. She reportedly wants more quality time with her newly-adopted daughter Naleigh. This means Izzie will not appear in several episodes most likely those that air in early 2010.

Leven Rambin is guest starring in the episode "Holidaze" which synopsis specifies that Mark and Lexie "must cope with the shocking arrival of a woman from his past."
E! Online came out with the report of Rambin's character being the long-lost daughter of Mark, but this story is not yet confirmed. The fact is, Rambin will be featured heavily on the November 19 episode, appearing in both "Grey's" and its spin-off "Private Practice".

"(Denny) is not a ghost, which you will learn," McPherson said. "I actually think when you get to the end of the season and you see everything she had in mind, it might not be your cup of tea, but I think you'll be surprised at how insightful and smart that storyline itself is in terms of the dynamics it's creating for the characters involved and where we end up with those characters at the end."

Melissa George Confirms Exit From 'Grey's Anatomy'
January 13, 2009 02:01:10Dr. Sadie Harris apparently won't stay at Seattle Grace Hospital for longer period of time in the hit drama series "Grey's Anatomy". The bisexual character's depicter, Melissa George, has said that she quits from the show at her own request. "It was my choice," she told EW's Michael Ausiello. "My last day of work is Tuesday."
George's character was introduced back in November 2008, in a four episodes deal which was later extended to another four because she receives warm welcome from the audience. While other sources say that George never intended to go beyond the four, the actress told Ausiello during the Golden Globes after-party on Sunday, January 11, that she is doing "something else" as the reason of the exit.

'Is it right to save the life of someone who has done so much bad in the world?' 'What is a doctor's job and how should one respond to this situation?' It presents a lot of interesting, rich things for all these talented actors to play with." He added that he will create quite a stir in MerDer's relationship.

T.R. Knight Requests for an Exit From 'Grey's Anatomy'

After a representative of the show released a statement per Us Magazine, saying that the depicter of George O'Malley is not leaving, EW's Michael Ausiello reports that the actor is actually negotiating with the producers for an exit.
EW claimed that Knight is requesting for his character to be written out of the story and "a source close to the situation" said that the wish will most likely be granted. If the report were true then Knight will be released from his contract. "They're working out the details now," an ABC insider told EW.
