Alleged Budget Cut Blamed for Latest Death on 'Grey's Anatomy'
September 28, 2012 03:09:54Another major character has left "Grey's Anatomy". Following the fatal plane crash in last season's finale, [SPOILER ALERT!] Mark Sloane a.k.a. McSteamy (Eric Dane) died in the season 9 premiere after he went into a coma for 30 days.
Prior to Mark, Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh) was killed in the plane crash and Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) moved to another hospital. According to some insiders, these three departures were results of a budget cut.

'Grey's Anatomy' Photos Tease McSteamy's Fate in Season 9
August 01, 2012 10:08:10How Mark Sloan's story arc will end on "Grey's Anatomy" has been possibly spoiled. Patrick Dempsey recently uploaded on his Twitter page two pictures from the set which feature Eric Dane's alter ego lying on a hospital bed and seemingly unconscious. In one of the photos, McSteamy is seen having a tube down his throat, while the other image sees Sara Ramirez's Callie Torres sitting next to him.
"Back on greys all week working with Eric , sad to see him go," so Dempsey wrote on Monday, July 30. The Derek Shepherd depicter later removed the two set photos after tweeting, "I just was told to take photos down ? Abc is watching."

Eric Dane Bows Out of 'Grey's Anatomy' in Season 9
July 27, 2012 09:07:15"Grey's Anatomy" will bid farewell to another of its doctors following the departures of Chyler Leigh's Lexie and Kim Raver's Teddy. Creator Shonda Rhimes has just dropped the bomb that Eric Dane, who joined the show as Dr. Mark Sloan in the second season, has decided to leave the medical series after six years.
Calling Dane's character, who has been given the nickname "McSteamy" by Meredith and her friends, "one of the most beloved characters on Grey's Anatomy," Rhimes said that she and Dane "did not come to this decision lightly." She continued explaining, "But after much consideration and conversations, he and I have decided that this is the right time for his storyline to end."

However, TVLine which first broke the news reports it's likely that Charles will play a young doctor who works at the Seattle Grace Hospital. The hospital recently lost two of its staffs with Lexie's (Chyler Leigh) death and Teddy (Kim Raver) being fired by Owen (Kevin McKidd).

Per Deadline, not only these actors have renewed their contracts but they are also re-upped for two more years. With the lead actors on board, season nine is looking bright although ABC is yet to officially order the upcoming season(s).

Callie and Owen have three kids together, whom they bring to the Seattle Grace that day. Cristina, meanwhile, is a person who is not likable.

'Grey's Anatomy' and 'Private Practice' to Stage Another Crossover Episode
January 06, 2012 01:01:27The lives of doctors at Seattle Grace and Oceanside Health & Wellness will once again collide when "Grey's Anatomy" and "Private Practice" stage another crossover. According to TV Guide, an episode which is scheduled to air in mid-February will feature Caterina Scorsone's Amelia heading to the Seattle hospital.
Details of the episode are scarce, but it is expected that Amelia will rebuild her relationship with her brother Derek, now that she is getting clean and sober. In season 7 crossover, she visited Derek at Seattle Grace in hopes to reconcile with Derek after she abused drugs while grieving the death of her father.

"He's as surprised as anybody else about this. And he's nervous about it," Kevin McKidd, who portrays Owen, dished on his character's reaction. "He's a man of action, really, and the head of trauma surgery - that's what he knows. Suddenly, he's in a more administrative position. I think the way he deals with that is going to be interesting."

April 06, 2011 01:04:48Callie and Arizona's happy day has been teased in a picture of "Grey's Anatomy". Making its way out via TV Guide, the photo features both characters wearing white gowns but it is Callie who dons the bride veil. Their wedding will take place in May 5 episode.
Callie accepted Arizona's proposal in the end of the 18th episode titled "Song Beneath the Song". The couple's marriage will be held in the woods, and is officiated by Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson).
