It's a war spirit for Rick and the gang. A new trailer for the fifth season of "" reveals 30 seconds of intense footage filled up by zombies attack. "It's not over until we're all dead," Rick says in the trailer.

The video starts at Terminus which apparently is raided by a bunch of walkers on fire. It looks like the group gets separated again and Sasha says, "Three of us are gone." Then Carol, the character once too weak to notice, screams madly, "Where are they?!" while cocking her gun.

AMC continues reminding fans of "" return with new photos for the upcoming season 5. Rick, Daryl, Michonne, Carol, Glenn and Maggie are featured separately in cast photos that see light shining through in the darkness, hinting at a glimpse of hope for the group who is captured by the Terminants.

Three fresh stills from the new season have also landed online. One shows Tyreese and Sasha who look alert, another sees Daryl holding his crossbow ready to take aim, and the other shot gives a look at Rick standing while watching something through broken glass.

AMC Orders Pilot for 'The Walking Dead' Spin-Off Series

"" officially gets a companion series. The new zombie show has gotten a pilot order from AMC. Production will begin later this year. Details of the story are still kept under wraps, but it's expected to show what happens in the zombie apocalypse in other parts of the world.

The spin-off is co-created and co-written by Robert Kirkman, the mastermind behind the comic series that the original TV show is based on, along with Dave Erickson (""). The "Walking Dead" producers Gale Anne Hurd and David Alpert are also involved in the project.

A new still from "" is released via Entertainment Weekly ahead of the fifth season of the AMC series which returns October 12. The picture gives a first glimpse at "The Wire" star Seth Gilliam as Father Gabriel Stokes which was introduced in issue #61 in the comics.

Hinting at the state of Rick and the gang when the show returns this fall, the poster features the characters who are locked in the train car at Terminus in last season's finale in handcuffs but their poses show that they're ready to fight their captors.

Series creator Robert Kirkman recently told Entertainment Weekly how the new season would start. "In our first episode, it's very much going to focus on the story of Terminus. There's a lot of big revelations that haven't really come out that I think people are gonna be pretty startled by," he promised. "There's a couple other revelations that I think people might've gotten a little bit of a lead on. We'll definitely be defining those in some cool ways and confirming some theories and shooting down others, which is very exciting."

AMC has offered the first glimpse at "" season 5 via a photo. The picture doesn't reveal much but shows Rick peering out of what seems to be a train car where he and other survivors were locked up at the end of season 4.

Throughout the fourth season, Rick transformed from a leader to a farmer, but it appears that the old Rick was back by the end of the season. Speaking of this, creator Robert Kirkman said, "Rick Grimes' evolution has come at the exact right point. This is the Rick Grimes that they need in that train car. And this is the Rick Grimes that the people of Terminus should not have encountered."

Four New 'Walking Dead' Novels Are on the Way

"The Walking Dead" franchise expands with another book series. Robert Kirkman and Jay Bonansinga, who already teamed up for four novels, are working on another four "Walking Dead" book series, with the first one scheduled to be published by Thomas Dunne Books/St. Martin's Press on October 14.

According to Entertainment Weekly which has got its hand on the book's cover, the first of the four novels is titled "The Walking Dead: Descent". It follows Lilly Caul, who appears in the original comic book and is a central character in previous novel "The Road to Woodbury", as she returns to Woodbury and attempts to rebuild it after the Governor's failed assault on the prison.
