'The Walking Dead' Comic-Con Poster Sees Everyone Ready to Fight in Handcuffs

AMC has released the Comic-Con 2014 art for "" season 5. Hinting at the state of Rick and the gang when the show returns this fall, the poster features the characters who are locked in the train car at Terminus in last season's finale in handcuffs but their poses show that they're ready to fight their captors.

Series creator Robert Kirkman recently told Entertainment Weekly how the new season would start. "In our first episode, it's very much going to focus on the story of Terminus. There's a lot of big revelations that haven't really come out that I think people are gonna be pretty startled by," he promised. "There's a couple other revelations that I think people might've gotten a little bit of a lead on. We'll definitely be defining those in some cool ways and confirming some theories and shooting down others, which is very exciting."

A sneak peek into the upcoming fifth season of "" has the potential to start fans riot. The beloved character Daryl Dixon is found in the picture provided by Entertainment Weekly in a dangerous position.

The last time viewers saw the crossbow-wielding survivor, he and the gang were cramped in a train car inside Terminus. A group of possible cannibals took them hostage and they are possibly the ones who gag and torture Daryl.

AMC has debuted a new teaser for "" season 5 to quench fans' thirst for the show. The short clip focuses on Carol, Tyreese and Judith who are still together and following the railroad tracks. Danger is lurking as a horde of zombies walking towards them.

In a previously released featurette, executive producer Robert Kirkman said that season 5 would "hit the ground running" and "that we definitely start this season in an up cycle." Star further teased, "It's gonna be messy, it's gonna be brutal. It's gonna be thrilling."

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films honored the best TV and movie works in the genres at the 40th annual Saturn Awards on Thursday, June 26. "It's like Comic-Con meets a Bar-Mitzvah," said host Jeff Ross when opening the ceremony at the Castaway Starlight Ballroom in Burbank, California.

First Look at 'The Walking Dead' Season 5: Rick Takes a Peek

AMC has offered the first glimpse at "" season 5 via a photo. The picture doesn't reveal much but shows Rick peering out of what seems to be a train car where he and other survivors were locked up at the end of season 4.

Throughout the fourth season, Rick transformed from a leader to a farmer, but it appears that the old Rick was back by the end of the season. Speaking of this, creator Robert Kirkman said, "Rick Grimes' evolution has come at the exact right point. This is the Rick Grimes that they need in that train car. And this is the Rick Grimes that the people of Terminus should not have encountered."

Four New 'Walking Dead' Novels Are on the Way

"The Walking Dead" franchise expands with another book series. Robert Kirkman and Jay Bonansinga, who already teamed up for four novels, are working on another four "Walking Dead" book series, with the first one scheduled to be published by Thomas Dunne Books/St. Martin's Press on October 14.

According to Entertainment Weekly which has got its hand on the book's cover, the first of the four novels is titled "The Walking Dead: Descent". It follows Lilly Caul, who appears in the original comic book and is a central character in previous novel "The Road to Woodbury", as she returns to Woodbury and attempts to rebuild it after the Governor's failed assault on the prison.

The producers of "" possibly did not check with New York's Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) first before scaring its citizens. An MTA spokesman said they're investigating the zombie prank that the show played last week to promote the return of the AMC series this Sunday, February 9.

The promotional video showed several actors playing zombies lurking beneath a subway grate and scaring New Yorkers who passed by 14th Street at Union Square. Some people who fell victim to the prank could be seen jumping in fear but some laughed it off. The video has received more than 3 million views since it was posted on YouTube last Wednesday.

To remind fans of "" return, the show has staged a prank in New York. The show's team recently sent actors dressing as walkers under a sidewalk grate in Union Square to scare unsuspecting passersby.

A video documenting the preparation as well as people's reactions to the prank has landed online. In it, a young woman can been seen screaming while jumping away from the grate. The "zombies", however, are nice enough to ignore a little girl who is seemingly curious to know what's under the ground.

The first clip from "" midseason premiere has been released to tide fans over the show's return. The video shows Carl at the house where he and his father Rick have stayed in since leaving the prison.

Carl takes a peek to check out the source of a noise outside the house and finds two walkers banging on the door. Perhaps knowing that shooting them would only attract more walkers, he distracts the attention of those two zombies and leads them away from the house. The clip, however, ends before Carl's intent becomes clear.
