HBO has unveiled a new trailer for "The Newsroom" season 2. Aired during the penultimate episode of "Game of Thrones" season 3, the video doesn't share scenes from the upcoming installment of the Jeff Daniels-starring series, but hints at the problem faced by the "News Night" crew.
Set to Tom Odell's "Can't Pretend", it opens with Daniels' Will McAvoy sitting behind the ACN news desk in the middle of a desert. He sees visions of his staff, including Dev Patel's Neal and Olivia Munn's Sloan who unleash their frustration, as he walks through the landscape.
Toward the end of it, the ACN cable news crew gather in front of a television before a tagline which reads, "Together, they stand alone," appears on screen.
"The Newsroom" season 2 premieres July 14 at 10 P.M. ET on HBO. Emily Mortimer, Alison Pill, John Gallagher Jr., Sam Waterston and Jane Fonda also return to the new installment of the Golden Globe-nominated drama series.
