Hudgens, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine expose their wild side, but Selena Gomez appears as the only religious member of the bad girls gang.
"Spring Breakers" goes red band in its new trailer. Jam-packed with R-rated scenes involving bad words, guns, alcohol, drugs and sex, the promo video exposes the wild side of former Disney darlings Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens. The young girls are taught how to be bad by James Franco.
Hudgens, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine are seen oozing their bad girl personas throughout the video. Rocking pink balaclavas and neon-colored bikinis, they go reckless with firearms and repeatedly shout, "Spring break b****es!" They also don't hesitate to get very wild in what appears to be an orgy with Franco.
On the other hand, Gomez is featured as the most religious girl in the gang. Though she decides to follow her gal pals in the illegal activities, Gomez feels guilty along the way. "I wanna go home," she says at one point, as images of her attending a prayer gathering appear.
In "Spring Breakers", four sexy college girls plan to fund their spring break getaway by burglarizing a fast food shack. But that's only the beginning. During a night of partying, the girls hit a roadblock when they are arrested on drug charges.
Hung over and clad only in bikinis, the girls appear before a judge but are bailed out unexpectedly by Alien (James Franco), an infamous local thug who takes them under his wing and leads them on the wildest spring break trip in history.
Rough on the outside but with a soft spot inside, Alien wins over the hearts of the young spring breakers, and leads them on a spring break they never could have imagined.
The Harmony Korine-directed thriller will make its way out onto the U.S. screens on March 22.
