Building the anticipation to the release of the first ever "Iron Man 3" trailer, Marvel Studios unleashes a short clip that teases about what to expect from the highly-anticipated trailer. Boasting an even darker theme, the 17-second snippet gives a clear look at Tony Stark's latest armor which allegedly is Mark XLVII. It also teases a first look at The Mandarin and gives a glimpse at Pepper Potts who appears to be in distress.
The full trailer itself will be made available for fans' viewing pleasure on Tuesday, October 23. Words have been running wild that the upcoming video will be "mind blowing, very dark and amazing," as it was reportedly screened during a Blu-Ray/DVD event at Disney offices in Hammersmith, London in September.
"Iron Man 3" will pit brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle.
With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?
Directed and co-written by Shane Black, the third "Iron Man" movie stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, James Badge Dale and Ben Kingsley among others. The film will open wide in the U.S. on May 3, 2013.
