The 'Ellen DeGeneres Show' host is joined by her mother Betty, friends Ryan Seacrest and Jimmy Kimmel, and wife Portia de Rossi.
Ellen DeGeneres was beaming when she showed up at the Hollywood Boulevard to accept a star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. The TV host was joined by her wife of four years, actress Portia de Rossi, and her mother Betty who looked just like an older version of her.
"It is amazing," she said. "I spent my entire career trying to conduct myself in a certain way making sure no one walks all over me only to get to a point where people are going to walk all over me." To her fans, she couldn't thank them enough, "It means so much to me that everyone showed up."
"The Ellen DeGeneres Show" star was feted by her two best friends, Ryan Seacrest and Jimmy Kimmel. The "American Idol" presenter and the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" host planted a kiss on each of her cheeks when they posed together for the swarming photographers.
Ellen looked immaculate in a gray suit she paired with a white button-down, a black white-dotted tie and a pair of white shoes. Her wife Portia was also well-dressed in a charcoal dress and a pair of camel-colored open-toe ankle boots. They were joined by the DeGeneres and Rossi clan.
"I'm getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today at 11am. Come watch me! Also, I'd love a ride home. 6270 Hollywood Blvd," she gushed before the ceremony. "So excited to see fans here at the W Hollywood to see me get my star on the Walk of Fame! Come down if you can!"
Ellen was honored with the 2,477th star in the category of television. "Congrats COVERGIRL @TheEllenShow on your shining new star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! #WeLoveEllen," she re-tweeted one of the many congratulatory messages she got from her supporters.
