Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music Adds Q-Tip

Q-Tip would be reunited with Kanye whose two albums, 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy' and 'Watch the Throne', received his treatment.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Q-Tip is now part of Kanye West's G.O.O.D Music family. It was announced on Wednesday, April 11 by Universal Republic chairman Barry Weiss that Q-Tip, who has worked on several projects with Kanye, will be joining John Legend, Kid Cudi and Mos Def among others in the label which is under the Def Jam Recordings imprint.

"I'm excited to be a part of the great iconic Def Jam label," Q-Tip said in a statement. "I'm humbled to be a part of such a storied history. To reconnect with Barry Weiss is a great thing. As far as G.O.O.D. Music, I'm excited to solidify my working relationship with Kanye, and I look forward to all the opportunities that lie ahead in our partnership. I will do my best to present the most cutting-edge music I can."

Q-Tip was previously with Universal Motown. He contributed work on Kanye's "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" and Kanye's joint album with Jay-Z, "Watch the Throne". Q-Tip is due to release his solo fourth album, tentatively titled "The Last Zulu", under his new umbrella and is expected to contribute to the new "G.O.O.D. Music" album.
