The 'In Time' actress is in negotiation to take on the lead role in 'Lovelace', while Peter Sarsgaard is in talks to star as her husband.
After starring as Justin Timberlake's love interest in "In Time", Amanda Seyfried might play adult film star Linda Lovelace in her upcoming movie. The 25-year-old blond beauty is in talks to tackle the lead role in a biopic project called "Lovelace".
According to Variety, "Green Lantern" actor Peter Sarsgaard is also in early negotiation to play Linda's pornographer husband, Chuck Traynor. Previously, Kate Hudson and James Franco were tapped to star in the film, but both of them bowed out the project after Kate became pregnant.
The biopic will be directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman, with W. Merritt Johnson and Andy Bellin writing the script. The story will be based on Eric Danville's "The Complete Linda Lovelace", a biography published in 2011, a year before Linda died.
Linda is famously known for starring in a 1972 hardcore porn film "Deep Throat", which was one of the highest grossing independent movies of all time. She was just a schoolgirl in Florida before she met and married Chuck, who transformed her into the world's most famous adult film star. She later denounced her pornography career, claiming that she had been forced into it by Chuck.
"Lovelace", which is expected to begin the production in January 2012, will compete with another Linda Lovelace biopic called "Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story". The rival project is also set to kick off the filming in early 2012. It is directed by Matthew Wilder, with Malin Akerman and Matt Dillon playing Linda and Chuck respectively.
