Having adopted a daughter Gemma Rose Davis a few months ago, the Charlotte York Goldenblatt of 'Sex and the City' says it is something she has wanted for a very long time.
Life does imitate art for Kristin Davis. Taking the cue from Charlotte York, her character on "Sex and the City", the 46-year-old actress welcomed a baby girl through domestic adoption a few months ago. When sharing the happy news, she revealed that she named the new addition to her home Gemma Rose Davis.
Speaking of the adoption, the global ambassador for Oxfam and patron for the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust told PEOPLE, "This is something I have wanted for a very long time." She went on to say,"Having this wish come true is even more gratifying than I ever had imagined. I feel so blessed."
Kristin isn't the only Hollywood celebrity who has adopted a child. Angelina Jolie has three adopted children from three completely different countries, while Denise Richards and Mariska Hargitay have each added a daughter from the United States to their families. Denise brought home Eloise Joni Richards, while Mariska welcomed Amaya Josephine.
