The 'Born This Way' hitmaker proposes a toast with her Little Monsters in the edgier commercial ad for the MTV Video Music Awards.

AceShowbiz - Another promo ad featuring Lady GaGa for the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards has been revealed. Unlike the previous ones which see her performing, talking about art, and sharing her musical inspiration, this brand new one is filled with edgier and darker scenes.

With "Government Hooker" as a backsound, the Mother Monster struts her stuff and proposes a toast with a bunch of her Little Monsters. The black-and-white celebratory scenes are similar to the bloody and fiery sneak peeks which were revealed earlier this month.

"I really wanted it to be real, and I knew that MTV wanted it to be a true documentation of my life, and as someone that lives halfway between reality and fantasy, so do all my friends," she said. "So I felt [it would be] an injustice to not sort of honor them in this short film that we did."

Lady GaGa is going to open VMAs this year. She is nominated for four nods including Best Video With a Message, thanks to "Born This Way". She's vying for the new category against Eminem, Taylor Swift, Pink, Katy Perry and Rise Against.

The winners are going to be announced at a star-studded ceremony at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on August 28. Joining GaGa on the performer list are Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Adele, and Bruno Mars. The presenters, meanwhile, are Jonah Hill, Rick Ross, Selena Gomez, Seth Rogen, Kim Kardashian and Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All.

Two tributes have been prepared by MTV this year. One is going to salute Britney Spears and will likely get a dose of Michael Jackson, Madonna and Janet Jackson as the Southern Belle's music inspirations. The other is to remember MTV's "very near and dear" friend Amy Winehouse.
