AceShowbiz - "The Hard Times of Rj Berger" is over after just two seasons. MTV decides not to renew the comedy series for a third season despite its record ratings for the second-season premiere (3.1 million of total viewers), because its viewers has dropped to less than 1 million per episode.
MTV has previously canceled racy drama "Skins" and renewed "Teen Wolf" for a second season. The network also has a bunch of other new scripted series in the line-up, including "Death Valley" which will debut later this month, as well as "I Just Want My Pants Back" and "Inbetweeners" which are set for 2012 premiere.
Another network TNT, meanwhile, maintains its long-running show "Leverage". The cable channel renews the action thriller series for a fifth season that will premiere next summer with a 15-episode order. The currently airing fourth season has averaged 4.8 million viewers so far.
TNT has recently picked up "Rizzoli & Isles", "Falling Skies" and "Franklin & Bash" for a new season each, but decided to cancel "Men of a Certain Age".
