One of highlighted TV events on the final day of San Diego Comic Con 2011 was a panel for "Sons of Anarchy". Attended by stars Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman and Katey Sagal as well as creator Kurt Sutter, the Sunday (July 24) event presented the first four minutes of the prologue for season 4, which is kicked off with the guys of SAMCRO getting out of jail.
During the 14 months he spent in jail, Jax was "doing some intense soul-searching," which will ultimately create "a challenge for him and some difficult decisions have to be made," so Hunnam explained. Meanwhile, on Jax and Tara's relationship, Sutter teased, "There's a deeper commitment to family than ever before. I would characterize that relationship as more important to him."
In the beginning of the new season, fans will see a happy Gemma as Sagal said, "The babies are coming home, the guys are coming home, things are a little lucrative..." She, however, added that it "doesn't really last that long."
Rockmond Dunbar will play a new sherrif in town, and it will bring "a different dynamic for the club," Sutter claimed. Perlman chimed in, "Whenever there's an external threat to the club, all internal differences are shelved not being resolved." Revealing further about the club's problem, he shared that there is a tension which exists even though there is a "single-mindedness of purpose."
"Sons of Anarchy" season 4 will premiere Tuesday, September 6 at 10 P.M. on FX with a special 90-minute episode.
