The second series to experience broadcast casualty this week is ABC's "My Generation". The new drama failed to crank up some huge rating in the most crucial second week, pulling only 3.9 million viewers which is down 31% from the equally poor-performing premiere last week.
Production has been stopped on the series while a replacement in the Thursday, 8/7c hour is not yet announced. E! Online said there's a possibility that repeats of "Modern Family" and "Cougar Town" will take over until they have a replacement.
"My Generation" is made in documentary-style that follows a disparate group of high schoolers from Greenbelt High School in Austin, TX 10 years after they prepared for graduation. The show is panned by critics as being "superficial" despite the elements of real world.
Earlier this week, FOX has canceled "Lone Star" which performed slightly worse than "My Generation" in its second episode. The show's creator blames Monday night slot as being tough on new series.

My Generation was a great show. They pulled it way too quickly. And by the way, it was ACTORS and was not based off a true story, just true events aka life. Best show ABC has had since Flash Forward, but of course they ruin ABC again by canceling it.
To Plogan 721...The documentary crew didn't follow them for 10 straight years, they followed them in their senior year in high school and came back 10 years later to see where their lives were. And I'm sure they signed releases..... so the Documentary crew had the right to film their show.
I think that abc pulled the luug on this one way too soon!
Thank you, thank you. this show was just plain borrrring. I barely like reality shows as it is, but to have a TV Show about a reality show on people who camera followed for 10 years. That is just plain stocking. There are laws against that you know.
