Shelved 'Lone Star' Episodes May Be Aired After All
September 30, 2010 10:09:15A glimmer of hope comes for those who think "Lone Star" is canceled too fast. FOX is still considering a broadcast of the episodes that didn't get to see the light. The show starring Jon Voight had gone into production for 6 episodes before the second one determined its cancellation earlier this week.
According to The Wrap, there are some options that FOX can choose from and one is to air the shelved episodes in a late night time slot. When asked for a comment, creator Kyle Killen said, "Sounds like you might know more than I do at this point."

Despite Efforts, 'Lone Star' Rating Tanks and Thus Canceled
September 29, 2010 11:09:11"Lone Star" officially becomes the first show that suffers the casualty of broadcast season this Fall. The premiere on September 20 surprisingly only absorbed 4.1 million viewers and creator Kyle Killen had taken a desperate measure to ensure people watch the sophomore episode. Despite Killen's urge for people to tune in, the number tanked lower to 3.2 million.
In place of the unfortunate show, the third season of "Lie to Me" will be premiered earlier than scheduled. The procedural drama was supposed to begin airing in November on Wednesday nights but it will now occupy the Monday 9/8c slot.

Creator of 'Lone Star' Begs Viewers to Watch After Low Debut
September 25, 2010 10:09:16The creator of Jon Voight's latest TV show "Lone Star" has written a public letter begging fans to watch the programme to prevent bosses axing it. The drama series, which follows a man's secret double life, debuted on FOX in America on Monday, September 20 night to disappointing figures.
Now creator Kyle Killen is pleading with fans to make sure they watch the next installment to perform "a minor miracle" by helping the show "survive". He writes on his blog, "For us to survive we're going to have to pull off a minor miracle. New shows tend to lose viewers in their second week. We're aiming to gain them. In fact, screw it, let's double our audience. The good news is, our audience was so small that if my Mum and my Dad watch it, we'll pretty much be there."
