Avenged Sevenfold's music video promoting their single "Nightmare" has just arrived, featuring the band's live performance footage. It also includes scenes where frontman M. Shadows is restless when he is witnessing bizarre things like people acting mentally insane during his way to the surgeon room.

The song is the title track to the band's upcoming fifth studio album "Nightmare", which will be released by Warner Bros. Records on July 27. It is nominated for Best Single at this year's Kerrang! Awards along with other tracks from The Blackout, Four Year Strong, Slipknot and You Me At Six.

In an interview with Bloginity, Johnny Christ dished on the dark concept of the album. He said, "We wanted to have a dark concept record, sort of like The Wall or Operation: Mindcrime. Throughout all of that, the songs that came out were musically already as dark as we wanted them to be."
