Video Premiere: Avenged Sevenfold's 'Seize the Day'
September 16, 2008 01:09:23Avenged Sevenfold have released a music video in an attempt to promote their fourth single called "Seize the Day". The song appears in their compilation album entitled "Live in the LBC and Diamonds in the Rough", which is slated for purchase on September 16 under the courtesy of Warner Bros. Records.
The video depicts the band's front man, Matt Sanders, who is expecting a child from his girlfriend. Matt's friends, who are played by the rest of the band, come to his house to make a big plan to rob a liquor store. In the process, Matt gets caught by the police while the others drive off, leaving him behind.
Avenged Sevenfold to Release Self-Produced LP
July 10, 2007 12:07:54
Failed to get producer Rob Cavallo's hands on their new LP, Avenged Sevenfold took over the entire production themselves. The result? A head-banging-must-be with groove driven melody.
The album that will be the follow up of Gold certified "City of Evil" (2005) initially was about to be Rob's project but the producer, who was behind My Chemical Romance's successful set "The Black Parade", was too busy working on Kid Rock's album and had to let it pass. Avenged then "couldn't wait" and handed a demo to their label Warner Bros. which eventually approved them on self-producing.

Pop punk/emo band Panic! At the Disco beat the other potential and strong contenders to bring home the Video of the Year award at the 23rd MTV Video Music Awards, held August 31st at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. It was the band's single "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" from album "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out" that bring them to the attainment.
As of the album, it is their debut released September 27, 2005. It was also this set that indeed brought Panic! to widespread recognition as the album debuted at #112 on the Billboard 200 album chart, #6 on the Billboard independent chart, and #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, with nearly 10,000 albums sold in the first week of release. On top of that, in early August 2006 "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out" finally was certified Platinum.
