Notwithstanding the buzz surrounding "The Twilight Saga's New Moon", Miley Cyrus isn't into the vampire drama film which has opened with huge numbers at the box office after its November 20 U.S. release. In an interview with Sirius XM's The Morning Mash Up aired on Tuesday, November 24, she referred the "Twilight" sequel as a cult.
"I think it's like [a] cult ... I think it's a cult," she stated. "I think it's bad. I think it's like, just people get too into it." The "Hannah Montana" star didn't stop there and went on saying, "For me, I think it's like when guys look at supermodels and they're like, 'That's the perfect girl,' ... That's what those kind of movies do to us. They're like thinking that's what girls should be like and not everyone is going to be Edward, hate to say it."
In further interview with the radio show, Miley also took aim at "Twilight Saga" film series' leading actor Robert Pattinson. "Johnny Depp is way hotter than Robert Pattinson, for sure," so she claimed. She, moreover, commented that should Johnny not get People magazine's coveted "Sexiest Man Alive" title, she will root for former Disney star Zac Efron.
Speaking of the 22-year-old actor, she gushed "There's not many things about me that are like a normal teenage girl. But the one like normal teenage girl thing is that I think Zac Efron is the hottest person in the world. I really, really like him. And it's weird ... it's weird because he's my friend. I think also the reason that he is so sexy is because he and Vanessa [Hudgens] have been together since the first 'High School Musical' and ... I think that's really cool."
This isn't the first time that Miley Cyrus says she isn't into "Twilight" and "The Twilight Saga's New Moon". Previously she told Cleveland radio station Q92 that she never watches the films. "I've never seen it and nor will I ever," she stated. "I don't believe in it. I don't like vampires. ... I don't like the wolf that pops out of the screen when I'm watching my TV at night. I don't like it. I don't want anything to do with it. I don't like the shirts. I don't like any of it." Not being part of the "Twilight Saga" craze, Miley admitted "I feel really lame because everyone's, like, so excited, I'm like, 'Don't even talk about it'."

Anything she says should automatically be disregarded. She's 17 and knows absolutely nothing about how the world works. Don't be mad at her, though, you can't be mad at a dyslexic for not being able to read. well, if you think about it, Twilight IS just another fad. The only reason why its so popular is because girls love the idea of forbidden love and fantasy. Also the fact that the movies have hot celebrities playing the roles makes Twilight another fan-girl crazed fad. I think its very hypocritical of miley to say such things about twilight because Hannah Montana is the SAME thing, except it targets little children. How thick are you people? The film was based on a series of books...FANTASY BOOKS! Stephanie Meyer wrote about her personal take on vampires. Just because it isn't the same duplicated vampire story, does not mean people have to get so worked up about it. Personally, I think the books are wayyyy better than the movies, although I do like the movie. I love the thought of things like that to be real! But what I can also say is that I know it isn't. Perfection is not just through looks, it is also about personality and the person themselves. The fact Robert Pattinson happens to be absolutely gorgeous isn't his fault.
