Featuring Yeah Yeah Yeahs' singer Karen O, the first track from the 'Where the Wild Things Are' soundtrack is called 'All Is Love' and can be listened to entirely for free.

AceShowbiz - The motion picture soundtrack for "Where the Wild Things Are" won't be available until September 29, but the first song from the album "All Is Love" has been streamed for free. Credited to Karen O and the Kids, the single features the vocal of Karen O, the singer for Grammy-nominated Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and of a raw and untrained child choir.
It is made specifically for the movie and goes up for sale on digital retailers on Tuesday, August 25. Snippets of this music have been included in the full trailer and in the behind-the-scenes featurette that was debuted at 2009 San Diego Comic Con. The full version of this first track can be listened to on the film's MySpace site.
About the music she made for the soundtrack, O shared, "I didn't want to make music that was hammering you over the head or go for some kind of pushbutton emotion." She added, "What I initially wanted to do was close to Cat Stevens in Harold & Maude, really simple, but memorably and seamlessly woven into the movie."
The soundtrack album itself listed O's friends and fellow musicians, including Dean Fertita (Queens of the Stone Age, The Dead Weather, The Raconteurs), Bradford Cox (Deerhunter), Greg Kurstin (The Bird and the Bee), and Brian Chase and Nick Zinner of Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Of the collaboration, O said, "Working with all these highly-empathetic musicians over of a couple of years on this soundtrack was a lesson in the power of collaboration."
Adapted from a children book of the same name by Maurice Sendak, the Warner Bros. Pictures film revolves around imaginary adventures of a young boy named Max. Being sent to his room without supper, the disobedient little boy creates a forest inhabited by many large imaginary monsters, who crown him their ruler. Befriending a large monster named Carol, he soon learns the meaning of love.
Directed and co-written by Academy Award-nominated director Spike Jonze, "Where the Wild Things Are" is toplined by Max Records as the troubled boy, Max. Forest Whitaker, Paul Dano, James Gandolfini and Catherine O'Hara are among those filling the voice of the seven Wild Things. This family fantasy is coming out in U.S. theaters on October 16.
