Video Premiere: The Raconteurs' 'Salute Your Solution'
March 26, 2008 10:03:21The Raconteurs have posted a new video for their single "Salute Your Solution" that is taken as the first single off the recently-released album "Consolers of the Lonely". All the album, the single and the video were released at relatively the same time yesterday (March 25).
The video is available on the band's official site for both streaming and embedding. There is also a widget that can be uploaded to HTML web pages. Directed by the renown Autumn de Wilde, the black-and-white video shows numerous photographs of the band jamming in their studio.
The Raconteurs to Release Sophomore Set Next Week
March 18, 2008 01:03:47The Raconteurs will pack and deliver their sophomore album "Consolers of the Lonely" to be released as soon as next week. On such fast and sudden announcement, the rock band fronted by Jack White explained that they are going against the four-month delay that record labels usually request before putting the set in stores for promotional events.
"We wanted to explore the idea of releasing an album everywhere at once and THEN marketing and promoting it thereafter," the band explained. "The Raconteurs would rather this release not be defined by its first week sales, pre-release promotion or by someone defining it FOR YOU before you get to hear it."

Done with the album work in The White Stripes, Jack White is putting a full gear on his other project, The Raconteurs aka The Saboteurs in Australia. The band announced that they have accumulated a number of songs ready to be molded into new CD.
A post on their official website read, "The 'teurs have a lot of new songs in the works people, the writing and structure of them has dissipated and reinvigorated many times over since we came home from our last shows."

With twelve songs in hand, The Raconteurs may have their sophomore set ready on the shelves early 2008. The Grammy-nominated band is baking the materials in Nashville's Blackbird Studio with Jack White taking the position as producer as usual.
"We don't know if were going to finish but we wanted to get everything down before we got busy," White said in a statement. "We have a lot bigger ideas about certain things, so we will see how far we get." He revealed that this piece is a lot different from the debut album "Broken Boy Soldiers" (2006) but also cited that it's coming out great.
Those on the Bill to Play Virgin Festival

Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Who are only two of the many music acts set to play the upcoming U.S. version of the Virgin Festival, which is about to be held on September 23 at the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore.
The festival, presented by Virgin Mobile, will also visit Toronto on September 9-10, thus marking the first time the longstanding U.K. festival has left its shores.

Jack White does mean to silence people who doubt on his newly formed band The Raconteurs to become one of the many successful music acts. Though so, it isn't an easy job to do that after embarking their first tour ever, White and company have just confirmed a second leg of shows, scheduled to kick off on September 14 in Houston.
The trek will include a stop in Austin, Texas, for the Austin City Limits Music Festival on September 16, and dates in Atlanta, New York and Boston. It wraps September 30 in Montreal.

The 2006 Lollapalooza festival is coming. The blow-out event is scheduled to be held Aug. 4-6 in Chicago's Grant Park. Lollapalooza co-founder Perry Farrell has on Thursday March 16th, 2006 announced the lineup tapped to perform at the fest.
Among the many names mentioned as the lead lineup are rap superstar Kanye West, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Wilco, Death Cab for Cutie, Queens of the Stone Age and Ween. Also there are some other notable musicians, like Matisyahu, The Shins, Jack White's new band, The Raconteurs and many more.
