2007 Lollapalooza in Chicago's Grant Park has taken center stage in music buzz last weekend. The annual festival that celebrates the greatest alternative acts kicked off Friday, August 3 on a hot but pleasant weather, mainly due to the worthy performances in all its three days.

LCD Sound system only gave the best opening on day 1 by delivering beats that audience have been dying for. The group raved through their sets mostly containing materials from latest CD "Sound of Silver" before moving on with the Grammy-winning hit " is Playing at My House". The subject mentioned in the title served their part moments later highlighting the event with extended version of "One More Time" and their debut album's hit "Around the World".

Pocketing two full-length albums and two EPs, prefers to go with the latter again. The NYC band will release a five-song record titled "Is Is" on July 24 via Fontana Interscope.

The five songs that made the cut were written during the tour for "" (2003). The record will also include a short film footage featuring the band's two late-night shows at Grasslands Gallery in Brooklyn on May 7. The enhanced section will also include a live video for "Down Boy," as well as a video for the recorded version.

New York City-based rock band reportedly is preparing their second Interscope album, "Show Your Bones," for a March 28 release date. Prior to that, the album's first single "Gold Lion" will be commercially released a week earlier in the United Kingdom.

Produced by Squeak E Clean and mixed by rock veteran Alan Moulder, "Show Your Bones" "is what happens when you put your finger in a light socket," singer Karen O says of the album name. Also she added "Maybe there is some of that electric current flowing through the tracks of our album illuminating us from the inside out for you to laugh at and cry to or fry to. Or not."
