First photo of Ben Kingsley as a villainous nobleman who seeks to possess the Sands of Time in the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced adventure fantasy has arrived.
The first official photo of Jake Gyllenhaal as Prince Dastan as well as two posters of "Prince of Persia: Sands of Time" have recently been unveiled, but the promo effort for the video game adaptation is far from finish with the coming out of a new photo. Coming Soon has a first look at Ben Kingsley's villainous character Nizam.
Based on Ubisoft Montreal's 2003 video game of the same name, "Prince of Persia: Sands of Time" follows Dastan, a street urchin in 6th century Persia who after showing valor in battle, is adopted by the king as his heir. Now as the fate of the world is in jeopardy, he must join forces with Tamina, a feisty and exotic princess, to prevent a villainous nobleman from possessing the Sands of Time, a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world.
Directed by "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" helmer Mike Newell, the Walt Disney's feature project is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. Joining Ben Kingsley and Jake Gyllenhaal in the cast are Gemma Arterton and Alfred Molina. The action adventure movie is set to be released in the U.S. May 28, 2010.
