Jonas Brothers' new album "Lines, Vines and Trying Times" debuts at number 1 on Billboard Hot 200, putting aside last week's chart-topper Black Eyed Peas' "The E.N.D." to the second place. The boys' album has sold more than 247,000 copies in its first week on sale, while the Peas' effort manages to add 148,000 after garnering 304,000 units last week.
This is the second time Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas have their record debuting atop the U.S. albums chart. Last year, their album "A Little Bit Longer" also directly soared to the top spot on the chart, selling around 525,000 units in its opening week.
Back to Billboard Hot 200, sitting at number 3 is Dave Matthews Band's "Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King", and lingering at number 4 is Eminem's "Relapse" which opened big with 608,000 selling point but this week pulls in only 72,000 copies.
Rounding the top 5 is Incubus' greatest hits collection "Monuments and Melodies" with 70,000. And, following at the next places are Lady GaGa's "The Fame" and Chickenfoot's self-titled album "Chickenfoot" which sit at number 6 and 7 respectively.

At first, when I listened to this album, I was confused at the change of let's say "attitude". It took a couple of listens to really appreciate the change. But I'm still confused.

i love the jonas brothers! and lines, vines & trying times is their best album yet. i like the way that their sound is evolving and everything. people need to stop hating on them and actually listen to their music. not their music crap disney stuff from their show but like their REAL music. i think that it will be exciting to see where their careers take them and i LOVE them to death!!!
o and one more thing, you people who are writing bad things about them are taking the time to actually get online, read articles about them, and write something in response to it.
umm have you jonas brothers haters ever even listened to their music? or do you just not like them cause they are on disney? who cares. the jonas brothers are amazing and if you ever listened to their music or just look at them you would realize that. and its not just 13 year olds who like their music. im 16 and i love it. and i know plenty of other people who are older than me who like it too.

Yeah, but they sold poorly after over a month of more than intense promotional fuss. Jonas Brothers suck and all evidences luckely show that their momentum is starting to fade. Their music is obnoxious, pointless and fit just a 12 years old (or somebody with ridicolously bad taste). They are corporated fake products and this won't ever change. Can't wait for all the mess about them to disappear. Hanson 2...lol! They are a shame for real musicians. And this comes from someone who likes pop. Just that I happen to like REAL pop and not these three jerks that Disney forces us to see and hear every two seconds. Disney: it's not gonna workin any longer, face it.
