A couple of weeks away from its theatrical release in April, "Adventureland" has rolled down red carpet for a Los Angeles premiere. For the special event, Miramax Films have picked up Mann Chinese 6 Theater in Hollywood, California as the place to screen the comedy film on Monday, March 16, evening.
While Jesse Eisenberg, the star of "Adventureland", was not seen at the red carpet, his co-stars Kristen Stewart and Ryan Reynolds were present at the premiere. In addition to Stewart and Reynolds, other cast members attending included Bill Hader, Kristen Wiig, Matt Bush, Martin Starr and Dan Bittner. Director Greg Mottola was also spotted joining the celebration.
Aside from cast and crew, the premiere event also saw several celebrity guests. Stewart's co-star in "Twilight", Nikki Reed, "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" leading lady Kat Dennings, and "Superbad" actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse were among the Hollywood newest stars attending the special screening. Pictures from the red carpet can be seen via Celebrity Mania.
Based on director Greg Mottola's real life experiences, "Adventureland" centers its story on James Brennan, a recent college graduate who spends his summer at a local amusement park. Believing that the period will be his worst summer ever, he soon finds out that working at the park has turned into quite an adventure as he discovers love in his co-worker in the most unlikely place. Debuted at Sundance Film Festival on January 19, it will be distributed by Miramax Films to U.S. theaters on April 3.
