'The reports are inaccurate, the duet was recording long before the incident,' Polow Da Don's publicist responds to the rumor of Chris Brown and Rihanna's duet track.

AceShowbiz - Reports in the media claiming that Chris Brown and Rihanna have reunited in studio after altercation for a duet song have been denied. Clearing up the rumor is Polow Da Don's publicist, Laura Wright.

Laura tells the press Chris and Rihanna have indeed made a collaboration but it was recorded long before the alleged attack. "The reports are inaccurate, the duet was recording long before the incident," so she explains.

Following the denial, it is revealed that what the media have claimed as Chris and Rihanna's duet track is actually a song called "Bad Girl", which Chris and Polow co-wrote last year in "around August or September of 2008." At that time, the two singers only recorded reference vocals for a demo version of the track, which serves as a soundtrack for movie "Confessions of a Shopaholic" and was recorded by The Pussycat Dolls earlier this year.

"Chris and Rihanna's vocals were recorded as the reference vocals for this demo only," a source tells People. "[But] the song was never conceived or intended to be a duet between them, and was later recorded by other artists. Nothing has been recorded by Chris and Rihanna together since February."

Previously, Polow Da Don released a statement saying, "My heart goes out to both Chris and Rihanna for what has happened in the past. They are both great artists to work with and I wish them well." However, he himself never gave any hint suggesting that he worked with them after the altercation.

In related news, Lil Mama, who has teamed up with Chris Brown in a song called "Shawty Get Loose", says she will "definitely" work once again with him. Stating that she "respects [him] as an artist," she shares, "I would definitely record a song or work with Chris Brown at this very moment, I would. That's me."
