David Archuleta displays a fresh look of him, wearing casual red T-shirt in the cover art for his self-titled debut album, which is confirmed to hit the market on November 11 under the courtesy of Jive Records. Previously, Archuleta has released "Crush" as the first single from his upcoming set and the song has peaked at number two in Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart.
Furthermore, in an attempt to support his song as well as his forthcoming album, Archuleta has released a music video for the lead single. Filmed in Coweta County, Georgia during a break from "American Idols Live Summer Tour", the runner up of 2008 "American Idol" is seen playing piano on a dock and strumming a guitar while he keeps shooting sideways glances at a pretty blonde girl.
Meanwhile, a week after Archuleta's album release date, his friendly rivalry on the reality show, David Cook, is set to drop his debut album on November 18. In the meantime, a spokesperson from Cook's label recording company, 19 Entertainment, says that the winner of this year's reality TV talent show has released a Chris Cornell-penned single, "Light On", from his upcoming album.

Um this pic really doesnt look like the david ive loved for so long.i really think that a cover with his happy smiling, joyful face on it would have looked better.he looks scary in the picture...i rly dont think that he has to change just because hes growing up but whatever im still gonna buy the album.
As much as it may be paining some to see this more serious side of our beautiful David, it is the natural progression from the cute little Idol kid into the young man - and serious musical srtist that he truly is. There are many facets to David, and this, IMO, is the most honest representation I've seen... the youthfulness is juxtaposed with the budding maturity of a stunningly handsome young man... He's growing up, and he's wearing it well.

I'm sorry folks, but this photo is not David. I love the "IT" thing, but the photo is not the David I have been following through this wonderful musical journey. There would be so much more of him to showcase if he was smiling and his eyes were sparkling. Dont get me wrong he does look extremely handsome, but I prefer the happy looking, smiling David. To me, he looks scared in this picture and I think his eyes look very sad. Thats just my opinion, but he doesnt need a good photo to sell his CD
Yum! He looks so great in this photo. So mature, like the real soulful musician and artist that he is. Go David! I feel bad for Cook - his song is so generic and shouty. Maybe his next single will be better. Archie just has it all, there is no explaining it almost. Those eyes, that voice, that smile...it's just the whole package. I love him, my 14 year old daughter loves him, my 45 year old brother loves him - he's just undeniably talented and appeals to everyone.
