David Archuleta's Parents File for Divorce
October 16, 2009 03:10:20David Archuleta's parents, James Jeffrey and Lupe Marie Archuleta, are divorcing, Radar Online reports. The legal documents obtained by the site show it is James who initiates the divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce thus marks the second time that James and Lupe seek to dissolve their marriage after reconciling following another divorce attempt back in 2002.
Among the terms of agreement that James and Lupe have in regard of their separation are custody, child support, alimony, and the division of their properties. The twosome who has five children together agrees to share joint physical custody of their three minor children. As for James, he asks that Lupe be ordered to pay an approximate $349 in child support each month.
David Archuleta Announces Christmas Tour Dates
October 13, 2009 11:10:15Starting from next month, David Archuleta will hit the road for a traveling show. There are at least 19 live concerts confirmed. During the gig, David will sing hit singles from his previous album and perform new materials from his holiday effort "Christmas from the Heart".

David Cook and David Archuleta Chased for Swine Flu Check
May 16, 2009 10:05:52Stars of "American Idol" 7th season, David Cook and David Archuleta, were chased down by Philippine health authorities after they failed to complete a swine flu check when they arrived at the country on Wednesday, May 13 for a scheduled concert this weekend. According to Edgardo Sabitsana, director of the quarantine bureau, both singers rushed through the airport upon their arrival without completing health checks which are a must for everyone entering the country.
Thus, officials caught Cook and Archuleta in their hotel rooms on Thursday, May 14 to remind them that they were facing an arrest if they didn't want to take health check. "We had to mention the authority of the quarantine bureau ... that we can do something if they refuse," Sabitsana explained, adding that both music stars were "very receptive" and "cooperative" when they were given a briefing about what they can do to avid the swine flu symptom. They, moreover, were asked to fill out a health checklist and report their temperatures at least twice a day before their open-air concert on Saturday, May 16.

David Cook successfully sucked in a larger number of votes than David Archuletta, a 17-year-old Utah native. May 21, 2008 10:05:48The battle of the Davids on the seventh season of American Idol has been officially grinding since last night (May 20) when the two last-standing contestants showcased their final efforts in winning the love from American people. The finale of the show was aired on FOX at 8:00 P.M., presenting David Cook and David Archuleta on Nokia Theater's stage taking three rounds each and here is the report.
The first round was picked by Sony BMG producer and music mogul, Clive Davis, who opted U2's "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" for Cook and Elton John's "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" for Archuleta. Feedbacks from the judges were surprisingly different from expectation when the acid-tongue judge Simon Cowell who had predicted Cook's win, said "Round 1 goes to David Archuleta." Other judge Randy Jackson said that Archuleta's performance was one of the best in the season while Paula Abdul preferred to speak in metaphor by saying "the sun is never going to go down on you!" On the other side, Simon commented on Cook's performance as "tense" and "emotional".

Jason received the lowest vote following his poor performance at the Idols night on Tuesday, May 6. On that day he sang two songs, Bob Marley's "I Shoot the Sherrif" and Bob Dylan's "Mr Tambourine Man". It was in the second song when he really messed it up as he forgot the lyrics of it.
