Rapper Pimp C was found dead in a room at Mondrian Hotel on Sunset Boulevard Tuesday morning Dec 4th.

AceShowbiz - Pimp C, better known as one-half of the hip hop duo UGK, was found dead in a hotel room Tuesday morning December 4th. He was 33.
L.A. County Fire Department paramedics responded to a 911 call at about 9:30 a.m. placed from the Mondrian Hotel on Sunset Boulevard where they later on found the rapper dead on bed, fully clothed, at his sixth floor hotel room.
A spokesman for the county coroner said that Pimp C might die of natural causes. No drugs or related paraphernalia was found in the room, and it didn't appear as if anyone had been in the room with him when he died. An autopsy will, in fact, be performed and toxicology test results will be available in six to eight weeks.
Speaking on Pimp C's sudden death, Jive Records president and CEO Barry Weiss said "We mourn the unexpected loss of Chad. He was truly a thoughtful and kindhearted person. He will be remembered for his talent and profound influence as a pioneer in bringing southern rap to the forefront."
Barry Weiss, moreover, added "He will be missed, and our prayers remain with his family and Bun B. I've known Chad since he was 18 and we loved him dearly, and he was a cherished member of the Jive family."
Pimp C is best known for his album "Pimpalation" which was certified Gold. He had just performed with fellow rapper Too Short at the "House of Blues" in L.A. on Saturday night December 1st.
