Going comedic in his next acting stint, veteran actor Donald Sutherland has signed on to star in Warner Bros' adventure comedy project of "Fool's Gold", joining Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson.
Another directorial effort of Andy Tennant, the flick sees McConaughey and Hudson play as married treasure hunters who are on the brink of bankruptcy and divorce when they stumble upon a missing clue that might lead them to a fortune. Sutherland will portray a billionaire named Nigel who invites them to join him hunting for the treasure.

Sutherland, whose acting resume has spanned over four decades, is last seen playing Nathan Templeton in ABC's "Commander in Chief" which led him to receive a Golden Globe nod earlier this year. His upcoming film credits include "Reign Over Me", "Puffball", and "Jolene" alongside Dermot Mulroney and Denise Richards.
