Set to give more illumination on the project, "The Family Stone" star Dermot Mulroney has signed on to take acting role in drama flick "Flash of Genius", which Spyglass Entertainment is developing for Universal Pictures to distribute.
Joining Greg Kinnear and Lauren Graham in the cast, the Alexandria-born actor is reported to portray Gil Privick, an owner of a chain of auto-parts stores who is also the best friend Kinnear's character, Robert Kearns. Meanwhile, Graham has already been confirmed to play Kearns' wife, Phyllis Kearns.

Dermot Mulroney helps increasing the large number of Hollywood celebrities whose marriage end in divorce court. The actor has filed for divorce from Catherine Keener, his wife of over than 16 years, following their split in May 2005.
Per the court papers, filed Friday June 8th and released Monday June 11th, Mulroney cites "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the divorce and is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their son, 7-year-old Clyde Keener Mulroney, while asking for property rights to be determined by the courts.

The quartet has come down to give "Jolene" a big support. Yes that's right, Dermot Mulroney, Donald Sutherland, Michael Vartan, and Denise Richards have all been confirmed to share scenes together in the project, which has already included newcomer Jessica Chastain for the title role.
Along with other cast members, Rupert Friend and Theresa Russell, the foursome will come under the direction of Dan Ireland who is set to helm based on script written by Dennis Yares. Shooting will take place in Arizona with Riva Yares and Zachary Matz producing.
