Latin star John Leguizamo is in the brink to make a reunion with Franc. Reyes after their 2002 collaboration in "Empire." The 42-year-old actor currently is engaged in negotiations to take a role in Reyes' new directorial project "The Ministers."
Intended to be a thriller feature, the picture revolves around a female NYPD detective whose personal and professional lives are becoming murderously intertwined with a mysterious group known as The Ministers. Filming is expected to begin next December in New York with Reyes also working on the script.
Leguizamo, who has built an acting career that spans over two decades, is last seen playing opposite Brittany Murphy in Edward Burns' "The Groomsmen." He recently joined the likes of Javier Bardem, Benjamin Bratt, and Hector Elizondo in New Line Cinema's "Love in the Time of Cholera."
