John Leguizamo-Starring 'The Ministers' Gets Trailer
August 24, 2009 02:08:02Months away from its limited theatrical release in the U.S., "The Ministers" lets out a sneak peek through its trailer. Less than two minutes long, the promotional video for the drama thriller takes a look at the performances of John Leguizamo as twins Dante and Perfecto Mendoza, Harvey Keitel as senior detective Joe Bruno and Florencia Lozano as Celeste Santana.
Promising a gritty look at the unforeseen ramifications of race, religion, revenge and ethnic politics, this movie revolves around Celeste Santana, a NYPD detective whose father was murdered in the line of duty. One clue about her father's killer left on the crime scene was a pamphlet from a mysterious religious group known only as "The Ministers".

January 27, 2007 09:01:35Still eager to put one more acting stint in his already-diverse repertoire, Harvey Keitel is reported to be engaged in final negotiations for a starring role in "The Ministers", the crime thriller project coming from Universal Pictures.
If things go well, the "National Treasure" star will be billed in the film as a good cop who has an unfortunate incident that changes the course of his life. The flick itself revolves around a female NYPD detective who investigates a mysterious group known as the Ministers, along the way unknowingly getting romantically involved with a member of the group.

October 10, 2006 04:10:44Latin star John Leguizamo is in the brink to make a reunion with Franc. Reyes after their 2002 collaboration in "Empire." The 42-year-old actor currently is engaged in negotiations to take a role in Reyes' new directorial project "The Ministers."
Intended to be a thriller feature, the picture revolves around a female NYPD detective whose personal and professional lives are becoming murderously intertwined with a mysterious group known as The Ministers. Filming is expected to begin next December in New York with Reyes also working on the script.
