Teaming up together for the first time, Matthew Broderick and Sophie Okonedo are set to share the scenes in "Wonderful World", Production Weekly has reported.
Currently in pre-production, the movie is a character drama which follows a cynical divorcee who embarks on a romantic relationship with an African woman. Joshua Goldin has been tapped to both direct and pen the script.
A native of New York, Broderick has developed a steady acting career for more than two decades since his debut in "Max Dugan Returns" (1983). His next big-screen project "Deck the Halls" alongside Danny DeVito and Kristin Davis will open in theaters on November 22 this year.
As for Okonedo, the Oscar-nominated actress is last seen playing opposite Charlize Theron in Karyn Kusama's 2005 film work of "Aeon Flux." Her upcoming movies include "Stormbreaker", "Martian Child", and "Black Water Transit."
