My Chemical Romance Set to Perform at 2006 MTV VMA Preshow

My Chemical Romance will perform during the "2006 MTV Video Music Awards" pre-show "Red Carpet On The Rock".

MTV announced Monday August 28th that My Chemical Romance and Stacy Ferguson of the Black Eyed Peas will perform during the "2006 MTV Video Music Awards" pre-show "Red Carpet On The Rock" on Thursday, August 31st at 6:30pm-8:00 pm.

It is reported further that Fergie will open "Red Carpet on the Rock" with a performance of her No. 1 single "London Bridge" from her upcoming album "The Dutchess", in stores September 19th later this year.

My Chemical Romance, in addition, will showcase the world premiere of "Welcome to the Black Parade", the first single from their highly anticipated October 24th album, "The Black Parade."

The "Red Carpet On The Rock" reportedly will also feature live music by Susan Cagle, an artist who scored a major record deal when she was discovered playing on subway platforms around New York City. She was previously featured in the MTV News series "You Hear It First."

This year Video Music Awards, which is the 23rd, will air live from Radio Music City Hall on August 31.
