Aaron Sorkin in Talks to Adapt 'Flash Boys'

Sony has acquired movie rights to Michael Lewis' nonfiction book "Flash Boys: A Wall Street Revolt", with Aaron Sorkin in negotiations to adapt the story into the big screen. Scott Rudin and Eli Bush serve as producers for the feature film.

It's the second Lewis book that Sorkin will tackle for Sony. He previously wrote screenplay for movie translation of Lewis' "Moneyball". Rudin was also involved in producing the Brad Pitt starrer which went on to earn six Oscar nominations.

Elmo Puppeteer Kevin Clash's Final Sexual Abuse Case Dropped by Judge

A sexual abuse lawsuit against former Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash has been dismissed by a federal judge in Pennsylvania. Judge Christopher Conner announced the ruling on Thursday, June 19, saying that the statue of limitations on the sexual abuse case had expired. The lawsuit was filed last year.

In response to the dismissal, Clash issued a statement via his representative, saying that he was "gratified that once again the courts have dismissed the claims against him." As quoted by Reuters, Clash's spokesperson Nicholas Peters added, "We believe we are finally at the point as a team where we can begin to turn our full attention to restoring Kevin's personal and professional reputation over the coming weeks and months so he may regain his rightful place as an accomplished and respected artist."

Samantha Harris Stays Positive After Knowing Her Cancer Has Spread

Samantha Harris might need a chemotherapy after doctors revealed that her cancer had already spread beyond her breasts. Samantha recently received unsettling news from doctors, after undergoing double mastectomy in May. She recalled, "When I came to in recovery, my surgeon was standing over me with a look of sadness and told me that he had to take out all of my lymph nodes."

During the surgery, doctors found out that the cancer had spread beyond Samantha's breasts and had to do further testing. "A few days later I got some good news. Thankfully, only one node was positive. Unfortunately, that usually means chemo," continued the 40-year-old presenter.

Report: Yellowjacket to Antagonize Ant-Man in Upcoming Movie

An earlier report suggested Darren Cross and his cousin would be the bad guys in "Ant-Man" and one of them would don a suit with "yellow and black in color." While the previous speculation said the one with costume could be Crossfire, Baddas Digest now claims it's actually Yellowjacket.

In the comic book, Yellowjacket is one of Hank Pym's alter egos. However, the site notes that "this doesn't mean Hank Pym is the villain" since the scientist "is much more of a mentor to Scott Lang in this film." Paul Rudd will play Land, Michael Douglas is Pym, while Carey Stoll and Patrick Wilson are expected to take on the villainous roles.

The Wachowskis' Netflix Series Casts 'Lost' Alum and 13 Others

The cast members of the Wachowski siblings' sci-fi series on Netflix, "Sense 8", have been revealed. Among the 14-member international cast of the upcoming drama are "Lost" alum Naveen Andrews and "Kill Bill" star Daryl Hannah.

Also landing roles on the 10-episode series are Brian J. Smith ("Defiance") British actors Tuppence Middleton ("Jupiter Ascending"), Aml Ameen ("The Maze Runner", "Lee Daniels' The Butler") and Freema Agyeman ("Doctor Who", "Torchwood"), Indian star Tena Desae, South Korean actress Doona Bae, German actor Max Riemelt, Mexican actors Alfonso Herrera and Erendira Ibarra as well as Jamie Clayton, Miguel Silvestri and Terrence Mann.

Hillary Clinton hasn't announced whether or not she will run for president, but she's already had full support from Katy Perry. The "Dark Horse" singer has just revealed that she offered to pen a campaign song for the ex-Secretary of State.

On Thursday, June 19, Perry and Clinton met at a reception before Clinton's book signing at Barnes & Noble at The Grove shopping centre in Los Angeles. The duo posed for a picture that was later shared by Perry via her Instagram.

Kanye West excited the crowd when he appeared at Dave Chappelle's stand-up show on Friday, June 20. The rapper, who wasn't announced as a guest performer, played a surprise mini-concert during the second of the comedian's 10-night show at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

West tackled his hits including "Jesus Walks", "Gold Digger" and "New Slaves". Midway through his performance of "Gold Digger", Kim Kardashian's husband jumped off the stage and rapped his verses in the middle of the crowd.

Mark Wahlberg Plans 'Entourage' Sequel, Considers Earlier Release

"Entourage" movie has yet to hit theaters, but producer Mark Wahlberg already plans a sequel. "I told [director] Doug [Ellin], 'Let's not wait for the movie to come out to start planning the next one because this is definitely going to be a big success,' " he said to Access Hollywood. "If I have anything to do with it there will be."

Wahlberg is so confident that he considers to release the movie early. " 'Entourage', I just saw the movie. It's fantastic. The stakes are so big. You're rooting for these guys to succeed. There's so much humor and heart in it and Doug just did an amazing job. I don't think we're going to be able to wait a year to release the movie. We're going to show the studio sooner, rather than later. If it makes most sense to wait until June, we'll wait until June."

Selena Gomez Stalker Ordered to Seek Treatment in Mental Health Facility

A 20-year-old man who previously went to Selena Gomez's house twice is ordered to seek psychological treatment. The man named Che Cruz pleaded no contest to stalking the "Spring Breakers" star on Friday, June 20. Cruz then was ordered to stay at least 30 days in a mental health facility and get another 3-month treatment, TMZ reports. Cruz is also ordered to stay at least 200 yards away from Gomez and her home for the next 10 years.

Cruz's run-in with the law started when he was arrested in the "Come & Get It" singer's property in Calabasas in late March. Back then, Cruz went to the house when Gomez and a friend were reportedly at home. They heard strange noises and before they could contact the security team, Cruz rang the doorbell. Gomez's friend told him the star was not at home and he left. He later was found in a guest house.

The Guardian Releases Audio Interview Following Lana Del Rey's 'I Wish I Was Dead' Controversy

The Guardian has released an audio recording from Lana Del Rey's interview in which she told them, "I wish I was dead," after the singer slammed the U.K. media in some Twitter posts. On Thursday, June 19, the "Ultraviolence" singer took to Twitter to criticize the interviewer Tim Jonze, saying that he led her to make her say something interesting.

"I regret trusting the Guardian- I didn't want to do an interview but the journalist was persistent. Alexis was masked as a fan but was hiding sinister ambitions and angles Maybe he's actually the boring one looking for something interesting to write about ... His leading questions about death and persona were calculated," read the now-deleted tweets. In the posts, Del Rey confused Jonze with Alexis Petridis, who wrote a review for her album "Ultraviolence" for the publication.

New Hollywood comedy film "The Interview" is blasted by Kim Myong Chol, the unofficial spokesperson for Kim Jong Un. Coming from the men behind "Neighbors", the movie follows James Franco and Seth Rogen heading to North Korea and plotting to kill the leader.

"There is a special irony in this storyline as it shows the desperation of the U.S. government and American society," Myong Chol told The Guardian. "A film about the assassination of a foreign leader mirrors what the U.S. has done in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Ukraine."

NBC's The Beatles Series Facing Music Rights Issue

NBC may need extra effort to bring the story of The Beatles to the small screen. Days after its was reported that the network's working on an event series about the Fab Four, Billboard reports that the Peacock has not secured rights to the British band's music.

At the same time, NBC will have to compete with Sony Pictures Television which is developing a project with similar theme. Marty Bandier, chairman/CEO of Sony/ATV Music Publishing which published many of the Beatles compositions, says he has long eyed a Beatles TV show aimed to air on pay cable channel like HBO or Showtime.

Sasha Obama Pays Visit to 'Pretty Little Liars' Set

President Barack Obama's second daughter Natasha "Sasha" Obama allegedly paid a visit to the set of ABC Family's series "Pretty Little Liars" with a friend on June 19. A source revealed, "Sasha was super happy to get to see what Rosewood really looks like." Secret service agents heavily protected the 13-year-old First Daughter.

The timing of her visit was perfect as "Pretty Little Liars" wrapped the filming for season 5 later that night. The cast members, including Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell and Sasha Pieterse, have not revealed any information regarding Sasha's visit.

Kevin Feige Says 'Dr. Strange' Will Start Production Early Next Year

Kevin Feige gives update on the current status of "Dr. Strange". In an interview with Total Film, he says, "We're about to hire a writer to redo a draft, and we think we'll be casting probably in the next month or two, and announcing an actor, and then we get into production in the spring of next year."

Scott Derrickson is confirmed to direct the film. Jared Leto, Tom Hardy, and Benedict Cumberbatch are reportedly in the mix to play the lead role. Jon Spaihts ("Prometheus") is tapped to complete the draft written by Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer.

'Game of Thrones' Alum Lands Killer Role on NBC's 'Aquarius'

NBC's "Aquarius" has found its Charles Manson. Gethin Anthony, known for playing Renly Baratheon on HBO's "Game of Thrones", will tackle the role of the real-life criminal on the 13-episode miniseries, a representative for the network has confirmed.

The 30-year-old English actor will star opposite David Duchovny who is cast as Det. Hodiak, an LAPD sergeant in 1960s who is investigating a then-unknown Manson. The murderer, described as the "archetypal Authentic Hippie Freak" on the show, is also a budding cult leader trying to lure vulnerable women to join his "cause."

Paramount Addresses Pangu's Complaint Over 'Transformers: Age of Extinction' Deal

Beijing Pangu Investment Company has accused Paramount Pictures of failing its side of bargain in their "Transformers: Age of Extinction" deal. The Chinese company contributed to financing the movie in return for the inclusion of Pangu Plaza in the movie and the commercial advertisements of the building in Beijing.

Pangu now demands the studio to remove any scenes depicting the logo or properties of the company from the movie and other marketing materials. In a statement released on Wednesday, June 18, Pangu said Paramount failed to perform contractual obligations and they had filed court charges related to its allegations.

New Lawsuit Filed Over Michael Jackson 'Hologram' Show

Prior to the 2014 Billboard Music Awards last month, Hologram USA attempted to halt Michael Jackson's "hologram" performance. Its owner Alki David claimed that the show would infringe patented hologram technology that he had exclusively licensed.

The performance happened as planned, but the problems behind it are apparently still far from over. According to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter, Pulse Evolution, which worked with Billboard to produce the performance, has now filed a $10 million lawsuit against David.

The photo shows the "Baby" singer putting his head on Selena's shoulder, with their eyes closed. A woman beside them holds her finger to her lips, trying not to disturb the couple. A source previously claimed that the "Wizards of Waverly Place" star used studio time as a "therapy." The source added, "Her in the studio is a bit of therapy to get away from everything, it's a place where she can unwind from it all. Matt Damon had revealed an interest to return to "Bourne" franchise and rumor recently floated around that he would reprise his role as Jason Bourne in the next "Bourne" film. Longtime producer of the franchise, Frank Marshall, was quick to squash the rumor.

Marshall told THR that the delay in the untitled new Bourne movie release was not to accommodate Damon's return. "It's simply not true," Marshall told THR, adding that the film would feature Jeremy Renner's Aaron Cross from 2012's "The Bourne Legacy".

Tracy Morgan Transferred From Hospital to Rehab Center

Tracy Morgan is out of hospital. A representative reveals that the former "30 Rock" star "has been transferred to an undisclosed rehab center, where he is expected to remain for the next few weeks" to recover after being seriously injured in a deadly car crash.

"While he is continuing to show signs of improvement, he still has a long way to go. He and Megan wanted to publicly express their deepest gratitude to everyone at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for the unbelievable care and attention they provided him," his rep says.
