Beyonce Knowles' 'Bow Down/I Been On' Gets Slammed by Rush Limbaugh

March 22, 2013 09:35:21 GMT

Calling her controversial new single "Bow Down/I Been On" a "180" in the image department for Beyonce Knowles, conservative talk-radio show host Rush Limbaugh slammed the pop diva for supposedly turning her back on the "girl power" credo she has long espoused since her Destiny's Child years. However, Limbaugh seemed to have misinterpreted the lyrics to mean that Mrs. Carter was telling women to bow down to their husbands.

"[Destiny's Child] songs were attempts to inspire young women not to take any grief from men. She's done a 180," said the 62-year-old commentator, who obviously mistook the "bow down" statement from Beyonce. The radio broadcaster even continued to say that Knowles told women to "put up with it!" after "she married a rich guy," referring to Bey's superstar mogul husband Jay-Z.
