Magic Slim, a Chicago Bluesman, Passes Away at 75

Magic Slim, a younger contemporary of blues greats Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf who helped shape the sound of Chicago's electric blues, died Thursday, February 21. Marty Salzman, his manager, reported the bluesman died shortly after midnight at age of 75 at a hospital in Philadephia.

The musician died while being under treatment for various ailments. He had health problems that got worsened while he was on tour several weeks ago in Pennsylvania. He was hospitalized for respiratory problems, bleeding ulcers and other complications before was later transferred to Philadephia.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus landed in hot water in Israel for starring in an ad that poked fun at overweight people. In the commercial for satellite TV provider Yes, she congratulated her plus-sized co-worker on her pregnancy, only to realize that the woman is not expecting.

She tried to undo the damage but ended up making another blunder as saying, "I would like to apologies to Betty for thinking that she was pregnant. Obviously she hasn't dated anyone in forever!" She added awkwardly, "And uh, yeah, you need a man to ... uh ... so, um ... I'm sorry!"

'Law and Order: SVU' to Air Rihanna and Chris Brown-Inspired Episode

While their reunion story grabs the headlines in recent weeks, Rihanna and Chris Brown will get the spotlight in a new episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit". Known for its episodes that often take on real-life events, the show will air an episode which focuses on a popular music couple, in which the man abuses his singer girlfriend.

This storyline quickly draws comparison to the relationship of RiRi and Chris, who were involved in an altercation back in 2009. However, in an "SVU" twist, the male singer winds up getting murdered. Despite the similarity, a rep for the police procedural series insists, "As always, SVU is fiction."

'Latin American Idol' Martha Heredia Allegedly Smuggles Heroin

Dominican Republic's "Latin American Idol" winner, Martha Heredia, was reportedly arrested by the police on Thursday, February 21, for heroine possession. The 22-year-old singer was stopped at Cibao International Airport, Santiago, when she was boarding on a plane heading to New York.

Frank Duran, the National Drug Control Agency's director for the city of Santiago, said that the authorities found 2.9 pounds heroine in three pairs of shoes in her suitcase. The heroine was hidden in the platform shoes' heels. The police also ordered her to take x-ray to see if she had heroine in her body, but they did not find anything.

The TV host received Power Award, while the "Beasts of the Southern Wild" star got Breakthrough Award.

The "Oprah's Next Chapter" presenter was presented the award by David Oyelowo who plays her son in the upcoming movie "The Butler". Joined by girls from her South Africa school who referred to her as "Mom Oprah," the actor gushed, "I have to say the solidarity in the room here today is a huge example to us men."

One Direction on Their 3D Film: 'You Can See Us in the Toilet'

As many people have known, One Direction is ready to unleash their first 3D movie this August. Building their fans' anticipation to the release of the documentary film, which is aptly titled "1D3D", the five members of the British-Irish boyband promised that they would show something fans wouldn't miss in the pic.

"[The director Morgan] Spurlock's here himself," Niall Horan revealed to Fuse when the band attended the 2013 BRIT Awards earlier this week. Of what Directioners could expect from the 3D film, he said, "We're shooting the movie here. It's actually just been in the toilet with us, no lie! It's coming out August 30 and it's very all access, all areas."

It looked like Taylor Swift had fun in London after performing at 2013 Brit Awards. On Thursday evening, February 21, The singer was caught on camera leaving a pub with British singer, Tom Odell, heading to Groucho Club which was served for members only.

Swift and Odell's friendship started when Odell sang a cover of Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble" in BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge. The video went viral on the internet, and Swift tweeted the video link in January and wrote, "So I was already a @tompeterodell superfan... Now I'm just floored. This is so good." Odell who seemed so happy replied, "yesssssssss pleased you like it.. xx."
