"How I Met Your Mother" previews its upcoming episode via a clip which highlights Ted's unsuccessful date with his much younger girlfriend. Played by "Pretty Little Liars" star Ashley Benson, Carly who is over a decade younger than Ted thinks he's much older than he actually is and somehow still admires him.

Ted learns that he has nothing in common with Carly, who speaks things he doesn't understand. Though so, Barney begs Ted to continue seeing his much wilder girlfriend...until he learns who she is.

Chris Cornell and Soundgarden Join Obama Inauguration

Rock musician Chris Cornell will perform onstage with his former Soundgarden band mates to lend their support to re-elected U.S. President Barack Obama's inauguration on January 21. Cornell and Soundgarden are the latest musical acts added to the line-up of entertainers that will be joining next week's festivities in Washington D.C.

Cornell is set to join other musical performers Alicia Keys, Jamie Foxx, Marc Anthony, Jennifer Hudson and Brad Paisley at the Commander-in-Chief's Ball in honor of the U.S. Armed Forces. He will then reunite with Soundgarden to play at the President's inaugural ball alongside other top acts Usher, Katy Perry, Stevie Wonder, and Fun..

Rolling Stones Will Not Headline Coachella After All

Contrary to earlier hints dropped by both The Rolling Stones and Coachella Festival organizers Goldenvoice, a source close to the English rock band confirmed the Stones would not be headlining the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2013 in Indio, California in April. After fans were teased since last month about the possible performance, the unnamed source said the Stones would not perform at Coachella.

Still, frontman Mick Jagger keeps fans hoping that they will see more of the band on the road in 2013. He announced, "There have been quite a few offers. I'm going to see what's on the table and discuss it with everyone. We'll announce it when we've figured it out."

'American Horror Story' and 'Homeland' Hailed by Gay and Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association

"American Horror Story: Asylum" and "Homeland" are the Best TV Drama of the year, according to Gay and Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association. The two shows are tied for the honor, with the former's star Jessica Lange scoring TV Performance of the Year - Actress nod and the latter's actor Damian Lewis winning TV Performance of the Year - Actor award.

The group's annual Dorian Awards also chose Golden Globe-winning show "Girls" as TV Comedy of the Year. Other comedy series, "Modern Family" and "The New Normal", were dubbed LGBT TV Show of the Year, while "Happy Endings" was named Unsung TV Show of the Year.

'Argo' Is Gay and Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association's Film of the Year

"Argo" has won another award after it recently claimed victory at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards. The Ben Affleck-directed Iran hostage movie has been named the Film of the Year by the Gay and Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association.

The LGBT group has just held its annual Dorian Awards, in which it also names "Lincoln" lead Daniel Day-Lewis and "Les Miserables" star Anne Hathaway the Best Actor and Actress respectively. The group also honors Ang Lee's "Life of Pi" with the Visually Striking Film of the Year award thanks to the movie's stunningly beautiful art direction and cinematography.

Mark Salling Sued for Sexual Battery by Ex-Girlfriend

Mark Salling is facing a sexual-assault lawsuit filed by his former girlfriend. The actor who's famous for playing bad boy Noah Puckerman on "Glee" is sued by Roxanne Gorzela for forcing her to have sex with him without protection when they hooked up in March 2011.

According to TMZ, the woman claims the 30-year-old star grabbed and pushed her to the ground when she showed up in his house later that month to confront him about the emotional distress and "health concerns" following the incident. She allegedly found him in bed with another woman.

Just a few days after news broke that Emma Stone was in talks to join Guillermo del Toro's "Crimson Peak", it is now reported that the thriller project is courting its male lead. According to Variety, Charlie Hunnam is currently in negotiations to star in del Toro's new project.

Should Hunnam seal the deal, he will reunite with del Toro after the actor leads the director's highly-anticipated robots vs. monsters movie "Pacific Rim". del Toro himself is no stranger to reuniting with his actors. Apart from Hunnam, he worked in four movies with Ron Perlman including the "Hellboy" series.

Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks are working on a new miniseries for HBO. After bringing "Band of Brothers" in 2001 and "The Pacific" in 2010, the Oscar-winning director and the Oscar-winning actor are reuniting for their third World War II project.

The untitled project will use historian Donald L. Miller's nonfiction tome "Masters of the Air: America's Bomber Boys Who Fought the Air War Against Nazi Germany" as its source material. The upcoming miniseries will focus on the aerial wars through the eyes of enlisted men of the Eighth Air Force, known as the men of the Mighty Eighth.

Alicia Keys to Sing the National Anthem at Super Bowl

Alicia Keys will be handling the national anthem singing chores at this year's Super Bowl, the National Football League has confirmed. Keys will be singing the National Anthem on February 3 at the New Orleans Superdome for the first time, although this will be her third appearance at the big football event, the most for any artist in the history of the annual championship game of the NFL.

Hot on heels of Lance Armstrong's much-publicized confession about his doping scandal during an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Paramount Pictures is targeting a biopic about the bicyclist. The studio reportedly partners with Bad Robot's J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk to develop a film about Armstrong's rise and fall.

According to Deadline, Paramount and Bad Robot have just sealed the deal to obtain the rights to "Cycle of Lies: The Fall of Lance Armstrong", a proposal book which the film will be based on. The book will be written by The New York Times sports reporter Juliet Macur, who has covered Armstrong news for more than a decade.

'The Wire' Actor Robert F. Chew Dies of Heart Failure, Co-Stars Mourn His Death

The controversy surrounding the slavery theme of "Django Unchained" still hasn't stopped nearly a month after the movie was released Stateside. On Friday, January 18, producers of the movie ordered to stop the production of action figures based on the Quentin Tarantino-directed Western pic following criticisms that those toys were offending the African-Americans.

Previously, a number of African-American groups blasted the Oscar-nominated movie for depicting slavery and violence. Among those attacking the film was Al Sharpton's National Action Network president K.W. Tulloss, who told New York Times, "Selling this doll is highly offensive to our ancestors and the African-American community."
