"How I Met Your Mother" previews its upcoming episode via a clip which highlights Ted's unsuccessful date with his much younger girlfriend. Played by "Pretty Little Liars" star Ashley Benson, Carly who is over a decade younger than Ted thinks he's much older than he actually is and somehow still admires him.

Ted learns that he has nothing in common with Carly, who speaks things he doesn't understand. Though so, Barney begs Ted to continue seeing his much wilder girlfriend...until he learns who she is.

Rock musician Chris Cornell will perform onstage with his former Soundgarden band mates to lend their support to re-elected U.S. President Barack Obama's inauguration on January 21. Cornell and Soundgarden are the latest musical acts added to the line-up of entertainers that will be joining next week's festivities in Washington D.C.

Cornell is set to join other musical performers Alicia Keys, Jamie Foxx, Marc Anthony, Jennifer Hudson and Brad Paisley at the Commander-in-Chief's Ball in honor of the U.S. Armed Forces. Tom Arnold is finally going to be a dad at 53 as his wife Ashley Groussman is confirmed pregnant with their first child. "We're really happy. I didn't think it was in the cards for me, I'll be honest, and so I was completely shocked," he tells PEOPLE. "It's a miracle."

As she shares her thoughts, including how she tries to make her life happy by enjoying sex, the photographer candidly takes her picture. Kim Kardashian has heard from her mother Kris Jenner that their family home in Hidden Hills was swarmed by cops with guns drawn in a swatting prank, and she was not amused. The pregnant star slams anyone(s) who called 911 informing about fake home invasion.

"Just got a call from my mom telling me about this prank call that someone was shot in their home & 15 swat team & 3 helicopters showed up!" she tweeted. "These prank calls are NOT funny! People can get arrested for this! I hope they find out who is behind this. Its dangerous & not a joke!"

Contrary to earlier hints dropped by both The Rolling Stones and Coachella Festival organizers Goldenvoice, a source close to the English rock band confirmed the Stones would not be headlining the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2013 in Indio, California in April. After fans were teased since last month about the possible performance, the unnamed source said the Stones would not perform at Coachella.

Still, frontman Mick Jagger keeps fans hoping that they will see more of the band on the road in 2013. He announced, "There have been quite a few offers. I'm going to see what's on the table and discuss it with everyone. We'll announce it when we've figured it out."

"American Horror Story: Asylum" and "Homeland" are the Best TV Drama of the year, according to Gay and Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association. The two shows are tied for the honor, with the former's star Jessica Lange scoring TV Performance of the Year - Actress nod and the latter's actor Damian Lewis winning TV Performance of the Year - Actor award.

Mark Salling is facing a sexual-assault lawsuit filed by his former girlfriend. The actor who's famous for playing bad boy Noah Puckerman on "Glee" is sued by Roxanne Gorzela for forcing her to have sex with him without protection when they hooked up in March 2011.

According to TMZ, the woman claims the 30-year-old star grabbed and pushed her to the ground when she showed up in his house later that month to confront him about the emotional distress and "health concerns" following the incident. She allegedly found him in bed with another woman.

Just a few days after news broke that Emma Stone was in talks to join Guillermo del Toro's "Crimson Peak", it is now reported that the thriller project is courting its male lead. According to Variety, Charlie Hunnam is currently in negotiations to star in del Toro's new project.

Should Hunnam seal the deal, he will reunite with del Toro after the actor leads the director's highly-anticipated robots vs. monsters movie "Pacific Rim". del Toro himself is no stranger to reuniting with his actors. Apart from Hunnam, he worked in four movies with Ron Perlman including the "Hellboy" series.

Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Prince will be honored at the Billboard Music Awards on May 19 during its live broadcast from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The legendary artist is set to receive the Icon Award and will also be performing on stage in a rare television appearance that will be broadcast on ABC.

Prince is the third recipient of the Billboard Icon Award, next to last year's awardee Stevie Wonder and its first-ever recipient Neil Diamond. The award will be quite a distinction for the 54-year-old artist, considering the Billboard Music Awards is regarded as one of the most prestigious award-giving bodies in music, second only to the Grammys.

Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks are working on a new miniseries for HBO. After bringing "Band of Brothers" in 2001 and "The Pacific" in 2010, the Oscar-winning director and the Oscar-winning actor are reuniting for their third World War II project.

The untitled project will use historian Donald L. Miller's nonfiction tome "Masters of the Air: America's Bomber Boys Who Fought the Air War Against Nazi Germany" as its source material. The upcoming miniseries will focus on the aerial wars through the eyes of enlisted men of the Eighth Air Force, known as the men of the Mighty Eighth.

There is no bad blood between Taylor Swift and Michael J. Fox despite his recent dig at the country/pop star. She assures her fans that the "Back to the Future" actor has personally reached out to her to clear the air on his unflattering comments about her.

Barbra Streisand will be the honoree of the Film Society of Lincoln Center's 40th annual Chaplin Award. The veteran singer/actress, who recently appeared in family drama "The Guilt Trip", is set to receive the honor for her accomplishments on screen and stage as writer, director, producer and actress.

Ashlee Simpson has just released the full video of "Bat for a Heart" after she premiered the song and revealed a preview of the video on her own official website in late 2012. Justin Bieber's mom, Pattie Mallette, is about to jump into movie industry. The 37-year-old Canadian author has announced that she will be producing a short film about anti-abortion called "Crescendo".

In a statement released via the Associated Press, Mallette explains that she wants the movie to "encourage young women all over the world, just like me, to let them know that there is a place to go, people who will take care of you and a safe home to live in if you are pregnant and think you have nowhere else to turn."

Sergei Filin, the artistic director of Russia's famed Bolshoi Ballet, was attacked by a masked assailant on late Thursday, January 17. Filin was about to enter his home in central Moscow, when suddenly the assailant called his name and splashed acid into his face, leaving the artist with severe burns and possible lost of sight.

Following the incident, Filin shared to Russia's REN TV about the horrid attack he suffered. With his head and face covered with bandages, he said from his hospital, "I got scared and I thought he was going to shoot me. I turned around to run, but he raced ahead of me."

Alicia Keys will be handling the national anthem singing chores at this year's Super Bowl, the National Football League has confirmed. Keys will be singing the National Anthem on February 3 at the New Orleans Superdome for the first time, although this will be her third appearance at the big football event, the most for any artist in the history of the annual championship game of the NFL.

Preceding this latest Super Bowl assignment for the Grammy Award-winning R'n'B artist are her two previous appearances at the Super Bowl, first when she sang "America the Beautiful" at Super Bowl XXXIX in 2005, and second, when she performed during the pre-game show at Super Bowl XLII in 2008.

Two people were injured when an accident happened on the set of "Castle" Thursday night, January 17. Talent manager William Blaylock tells Deadline that guest star Karen David and a stuntman were filming a scene when "they fell from a moving van when a door would not shut."

David, who just landed a recurring role on the ABC police procedural series, was treated in an emergency room for hours, but has been released. She, however, "is in serious pain and has to wear a neck brace."

Hot on heels of Lance Armstrong's much-publicized confession about his doping scandal during an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Paramount Pictures is targeting a biopic about the bicyclist. The studio reportedly partners with Bad Robot's J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk to develop a film about Armstrong's rise and fall.

According to Deadline, Paramount and Bad Robot have just sealed the deal to obtain the rights to "Cycle of Lies: The Fall of Lance Armstrong", a proposal book which the film will be based on. The book will be written by The New York Times sports reporter Juliet Macur, who has covered Armstrong news for more than a decade.

Robert F. Chew, who is best known for his role as manipulative drug kingpin Proposition Joe on "The Wire", has passed away. His sister confirms that the actor died of apparent heart failure in his sleep at his home in Northeast Baltimore, Md., on Thursday, January 17. He was 52.

David Simon, the creator of the HBO crime drama series, remembers Chew, "Robert was not only an exceptional actor, he was an essential part of the film and theater community in Baltimore." He additionally tells Baltimore Sun in an email, "He could have gone to New York or Los Angeles and commanded a lot more work, but he loved the city as his home and chose to remain here working."

The controversy surrounding the slavery theme of "Django Unchained" still hasn't stopped nearly a month after the movie was released Stateside. On Friday, January 18, producers of the movie ordered to stop the production of action figures based on the Quentin Tarantino-directed Western pic following criticisms that those toys were offending the African-Americans.

Previously, a number of African-American groups blasted the Oscar-nominated movie for depicting slavery and violence. Among those attacking the film was Al Sharpton's National Action Network president K.W. Tulloss, who told New York Times, "Selling this doll is highly offensive to our ancestors and the African-American community."

Oksana Grigorieva is apparently not happy with the settlement she signed in the custody battle against her baby daddy Mel Gibson. The Russian pianist sues her lawyers Ron Litz and Daniel Horowitz for allegedly leading her into a bad deal.

According to TMZ, Oksana objects to a clause that bans her from pursuing any future legal action against the "Braveheart" star regarding their child, Lucia, without jeopardizing the monetary agreement she made with the 57-year-old actor. She's seeking unspecified damages.

Jennifer Aniston is signed on to serve as the new spokesmodel for Aveeno Skincare. Rumor about the deal has been mounting since last summer, but hasn't been confirmed until recently. She follows the footsteps of "All My Children" actress Daniella van Graas.
