'Major Crimes' Renewed for Season 2

"Major Crimes" has secured a new season order from TNT. Garnering strong ratings for the cable network since its debut in August, the spin-off to "The Closer" will return for its sophomore run in summer 2013.

"Week after week, 'Major Crimes' has drawn millions of fans with its combination of sharp writing and engaging characters brought to life by what can only be described as one of the best acting ensembles on television," says Michael Wright, president and head of programming for TNT, when announcing the renewal. "We look forward to another season of this remarkable new drama."

Sofia Vergara embraces her curves. The "Modern Family" actress was once advised by her former stylist to go under the knife to reduce her breasts, but she refused it. "I always joked with her (the publicist), you know, they look better in the dresses but I look better naked!" she told the Daily News.

She said the same thing when visiting Katie Couric. "She (my publicist) used to tell me, 'Maybe you should get to a more normal, standard size'," she recalled. "(My mom said), 'God is going to punish you, you can't chop your boobs out. It's crazy. All the women are risking their life to get boobs.' So I didn't do it."

Another day means another new video teaser for Christina Aguilera. Hyping up the premiere of "Your Body" music video, the new sneak peek which is a third one gives a longer look at the scene where she is asking for a ride from a hunky guy.

A second teaser previously released focuses on the explosive scene where Xtina throws back a match and sets a car on fire as she walks away from the vehicle. In both short snippets, the female judge of "The Voice" rocks rainbow-hued hair.

Alleged Budget Cut Blamed for Latest Death on 'Grey's Anatomy'

Another major character has left "Grey's Anatomy". Following the fatal plane crash in last season's finale, [SPOILER ALERT!] Mark Sloane a.k.a. McSteamy (Eric Dane) died in the season 9 premiere after he went into a coma for 30 days.

Prior to Mark, Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh) was killed in the plane crash and Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) moved to another hospital. According to some insiders, these three departures were results of a budget cut.

Although J.K. Rowling goes into a different direction in her new book "The Casual Vacancy", Emma Watson has no doubt that the author will create another engaging tale. She hasn't read any excerpt from the book just yet, but she's adamant it will be great.

"I'll need to go to a bookshop. I'd like to read it - I haven't yet," the actress says to the reporters at a screening of "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" at the Mayfair Hotel in London. She adds, "I'm sure it will be amazing. I don't think I have one being sent to me."

Anthony Hopkins' 'Hitchcock' Tapped as 2012 AFI Fest Opener

Anthony Hopkins' "Hitchcock" is set to hold its world premiere at a prestigious event. The biopic about legendary director Alfred Hitchcock has officially been chosen to be screened at the upcoming 2012 American Film Institute (AFI) Fest. It will also serve as the Opening Night Gala for the event on Thursday, November 1.

Upon announcing the news on Thursday, September 27, AFI President and CEO, Bob Gazzale, said, "AFI's history with Alfred Hitchcock is a proud one, from a Minister Seminar at the AFI Conservatory in 1970 to his receiving the AFI Life Achievement Award in 1979." He added, "We are honored to celebrate his lasting legacy with the World Premiere of HITCHCOCK - a bloody valentine to his creative genius and the inspired woman at his side."

The likes of Rihanna, J. Cole and Lyor Cohen were spotted supporting him at the launching party. It took place one day before the Jiggaman officially christened the multi-billion dollar complex in an eight-night live concert starting Friday.

Video Premiere: DAUGHTRY's 'Start of Something Good'

DAUGHTRY release a music video in support of their latest single "Start of Something Good". In the visuals, frontman Chris Daughtry is playing a guitar and singing the song without his band, while a couple has a romantic picnic in a field.

Making its way out via Extra, the clip was directed by Nigel Dick and filmed in August at Harlod's Farm in McLeansville, North Carolina. "The concept behind the video is basically I'm observing this young couple who's obviously in love and I'm playing their theme song," says the "American Idol" alum about the video.

"I know 'The One That Got Away' and 'Circle the Drain' are partly about him, as well as Travis [McCoy of Gym Class Heroes]. But she was young and it was a time in her life she cherishes," the source adds. "They had good times. It's really sad. She could never help him and couldn't [let herself] go in that direction."

Reba McEntire Will Not Return to Host 2013 ACM Awards

It's official, the 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards will not be hosted by Reba McEntire. The 57-year-old country star has decided to end her run as a host for the prestigious awarding show for country music world.

The "How Blue" singer stepped aside from the hosting duty for ACM Awards after tackling it for 14 times. She would pass the torch to Blake Shelton, who also served as her co-host at the last two editions of ACM Awards. Shelton was confirmed to return for next year's show.

First Look at China White on 'Arrow'

"Arrow" is not going to premiere until October 10, but viewers already get a first look at China White who will appear in the second episode. The female antagonist is highlighted in two new pictures from the upcoming series, clad in an all-black leather outfit. On The CW's show, China White is portrayed by "The Vampire Diaries" alumna Kelly Hu. In the episode that will air October 17, Oliver meets his former lover Laurel, who is prosecuting Martin Somers at the courthouse.

Producer of Anti-Islam Film Arrested for Violating Probation

Nakoula Basseley Nakoula (a.k.a Sam Bacile), the man behind controversial anti-Islam film "Innocence of Muslims", was arrested in California on Thursday, September 27. Federal judge Suzanne Segal stated that Nakoula had violated his probation from a 2010 check fraud conviction, citing a "lengthy pattern of deception," including making false statements to probation officials.

"The court has a lack of trust in the defendant at this time," said the judge before adding that Nakoula posed "some danger to the community." Following his arrest, the Egyptian producer was set to appear in U.S. District Court on Thursday afternoon. "Mr. Nakoula was arrested pursuant to allegations made by the United States Probation Office that he has violated the terms of his supervised release," explaind U.S. Attorney's Office rep Thom Mrozek.

'Sons of Anarchy' Star Fell to His Death After Murdering Landlady

"Sons of Anarchy" star Johnny Lewis is named the suspect in a brutal murder of an elderly woman, but he won't be able to stand trial for he died after his act. The 28-year-old actor, who plays Kip "Half-Sack" Epps on the FX show, was found dead on the driveway of a Los Angeles building on Wednesday, September 26.

Authorities said Lewis allegedly beat his landlady, an 81-year-old woman named Catherine Davis, with blunt instrument inside the building. A cat which has been beaten to death was also found. The upstairs part of the building, which is located in the Los Feliz neighborhood near Hollywood, had been ransacked.
