"Dumb and Dumber 2" is not dead just yet, Jeff Daniels has stated. The Harry Dunne depicter revealed that the long-gestating sequel to his and Jim Carrey's 1994 comedy film was expected to go back in the saddle and projected to begin its production sometime in 2013.

Sharing the good news to Daily Star, Daniels added that the untitled Dumb and Dumber sequel was still finalizing its script. "We almost were able to kinda get it done this year, but they're still working on the script," he said. "Jim wants to do it. I want to do it and The Farrelly's want to do it. We're all hoping that'll come together early next year."

Kim Kardashian always keeps her Twitter followers updated on what she's doing. In recent posts, the reality TV star shared the time when she enjoyed a relaxing time in a swimming pool with Kylie Jenner, and couldn't resist sharing some pictures taken underwater.

A first look at Steve McGarrett's reunion with his mother Doris on "Hawaii Five-0" has been previewed in a form of picture. Making its way out via TV Guide, the photo shows Alex O'Loughlin's alter ego and Christine Lahti as McGarrett's mother, who was presumed dead for 20 years.

Explaining her character's reason to fake her own death, Lahti says, "She faked her own death to protect her family." She adds about her reappearance, "Now she's come back and Steve is shell-shocked. She hasn't seen Steve since he was 15 and wants his forgiveness."

LAIKA's stop-motion animated film "ParaNorman" has been premiered in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 5. The special screening event was held at Universal City Walk with the film's voice cast members Anna Kendrick and Leslie Mann stealing the limelight thanks to their simple-but-chic looks.

Promoting its highly anticipated fantasy movie "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey", Warner Bros. Pictures unleashed an alternate trailer for the Peter Jackson-directed epic film. Though it looks similar to the previously released trailer, the video offers a good look at the dwarfs and its leader Thorin Oakenshield before they take Bilbo Baggins to a perilous journey in the Middle Earth.

"I cannot guarantee his safety, nor will I be responsible for his fate," so Thorin tells Gandalf The Grey after he's introduced to Bilbo. Some other new scenes are featured in the trailer, including the ones that see Bilbo hiding behind a tree and running through a forest in Mirkwood. A glimpse at Bilbo's first encounter with Gollum is shown at the end of the sneak peek.

After a number of mixtapes, Meek Mill is finally set to drop his debut studio album this year. The Philadelphia rapper is currently putting the final touches on "Dreams and Nightmares", which is expected to hit the stores in October after initially slated for an August 28 release.

Lollapalooza is expanding to the Middle East. The festival founder, Perry Farrell, has announced over the weekend that the annual event will be held in Tel Aviv, Israel on August 20-22, 2013. Should the plan go on track, it will mark the first large-scale global music festival to be held in the country.

Farrell confirmed that the Israel event would take place at Yarkon Park, which occupies several hundred acres along the Yarkon River. The country would be the third international stages for Lollapalooza after it expanded to Chile last year and Brazil earlier this year.

For the third week in a row, "The Dark Knight Rises" claims the champion title on the North American box office. Gaining $35.7 million, the Christian Bale-starring movie collects a total domestic cume of $354.6 million since it was released in theaters nationwide on July 20.

Failing to take over the throne from the Batman film, "Total Recall" places second on its debut weekend. The Len Wiseman-directed remake movie takes in $25.5 million, which fulfills Sony Pictures' $25 - $30 million expectation.
