Derek Hough Plans to Quit 'Dancing with the Stars' After the 15th Season

The upcoming fifteenth season of "Dancing with the Stars" could be the last for Derek Hough. The professional dancer has revealed that he's considering to leave the show after the upcoming all-star edition which will kick off Monday, September 24.

"This season is kind of my swan song. It's my last hurrah," so he told USA Today. Explaining why he would exit the reality series, he revealed that he would star in upcoming movie "Cobu" and how hard it would be to juggle with two jobs. "It's really difficult to do both, impossible really," the 27-year-old hunk reasoned.

Report: Scotty McCreery Recording a Christmas Album

By tweeting a photo of himself in the studio wearing a Santa Claus hat, Scotty McCreery has somewhat confirmed that he is working on a Christmas album. "well its still 90 some degrees outside, but its Christmas in July here in the studio..." tweets the country singer.

Rumors began swirling when Nashville singer-songwriter Nick Autry tweeted, "@scottymccreery wraps up a Christmas record so they felt the need to bring the decorations and gear to my office." The post has since been deleted.

Rupert Sanders' Dad Defends Son in Kristen Stewart Cheating Scandal

Although many were shocked by Kristen Stewart's tryst with Rupert Sanders, the director's father Michael insisted it was not a big deal. "From what I gather nothing really happened and it is all a lot of fuss about nothing," the older Sanders told PEOPLE.

"I should imagine it was something very brief," he said. "She is a very pretty girl and when you work that closely with someone for so long, sometimes things happen." He continued defending his son, "He is very honorable, hardworking and [a] dedicated father and filmmaker."

2012 Saturn Award Winners in TV: 'Breaking Bad', 'Fringe' and 'Walking Dead'

The 2012 Primetime Emmy Awards is yet to be held, but "Breaking Bad" has added trophies to its shelves. The AMC drama series edged out other scripted shows on cable channels to nab the Best Syndicated/Cable Television Series title at the 38th Annual Saturn Awards. It took home two other kudos through Bryan Cranston's win for Best TV Actor and Aaron Paul's victory for Best Supporting Actor on Television.

Another coveted prize, the Best Network Television Series award, went to "Fringe" which was snubbed in the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Award nomination list. The show's lead actress Anna Torv was additionally hailed as Best Actress on Television.

Winners of the 38th Annual Saturn Awards have been announced on Thursday, July 26. In movie category, Rupert Wyatt's "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" and J.J. Abrams' "Super 8" led the pack by claiming three nods each.

"Rise" was named the Best Science Fiction Film by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films. The James Franco-starring movie also brought Andy Serkis in winning the Best Supporting actor gong thanks to his mo-cap performance while playing Caesar. Additionally, the film grabbed the Best Special Effects prize.

She appeared to us. We saw Lilith."

In another fresh clip, Sookie and Jason meet the fairies again as they try to find out who killed their parents. Claude says he has no idea who did it, but he knows a way which could lead them to the answer. Later in the episode, with the help of Claude and his sisters, Jason and Sookie go to the site where their parents were killed and get shocking results.

A few weeks ago, screenwriter Alex Garland teased that "Dredd" could be developed as a trilogy. Weighing in on the scribe's statement during the London Film and Comic Con earlier this July, lead actor Karl Urban opened up that he's ready to go back to the sequel but only if the first upcoming film "blows up at the box office."

"Yeah, absolutely. But you know I just want to say if you know this film is a one-off cult classic, than I'm cool with that because I'm really proud of the film," Urban said of the movie. "And we showed it the other night and the audience loved it. And to me that's like, I'm happy. I'm good. If we don't end making more of these, than I'm cool with that because it's all good on my end."

Madonna returned to Paris on Thursday, July 26 for another show in her MDNA tour. However, after performing for just 45 minutes, Madge became the target of boos and slurs from her fans. The audience began shouting insults at the singer such as "salope" which means "sl*t" in French and threw bottles on to the stage.

The show was added to the tour's line-up just last week and was sold out within hours. Spectators gathered around the venue while some camped overnight from Wednesday to Thursday outside Paris' l'Olympia for the concert. They were disappointed that the show only lasted from 10:15 to 11:00 in the evening, much shorter than her other performances.

Mabel Pantaleon, who made a cameo appearance on "Dexter" in 2008, has gone missing. The runner-up of 2003 Miss Latina New York USA Pageant was last seen on Sunday, July 22 at her apartment on W. 157th Street in Manhattan.

Mabel's mom, Sylvia Pantaleon, told ABC News that the 31-year-old actress had a history of manic-depressive disorder. The older Pantaleon believed her daughter stopped taking her medication. Of her social life, the mother said, "She doesn't have friends, she doesn't have boyfriends."

The CW May Bring 'Hunger Games'-Esque 'Battle Royale' Into Small Screen

On the heels of "The Hunger Games" success, The CW is eying to adapt Japanese film "Battle Royale", which has a similar plot, into a TV series. The network is currently in preliminary talks with a representative for the U.S. rights to the title about turning the controversial, yet blockbuster movie into an English-language show.

A spokesperson for The CW confirms to Los Angeles Times that there have been some discussions about the project, but refuses to divulge further details. Attorney Joyce Jun, who represents "Battle Royale" in Hollywood, simply says "there is no deal in place."

"There might be a sequel, which I think would have more of [the dancing] in there," said the Tito depicter to MTV News. "I'd just like to see more good times. ABC Unveils Fall Premiere Dates for 'DWTS', '666 Park Avenue', 'Happy Endings' and More

ABC has finally revealed the 2012 fall premiere dates for its programs, including the highly anticipated "Dancing with the Stars" all-star edition. The fifteenth installment of the reality series will debut with the first performance show on Monday, September 24, the same day "Castle" will return with its fifth season. The first result show in "DWTS" season 15 will air the next day at 8 P.M., followed by the new season premiere of "Private Practice" two hours later.

On Wednesday, September 26, "The Middle" will get a special one-hour premiere before "Modern Family" launches its own new season at 9 o'clock. Newbie "The Neighbors" will be introduced after the return of the Emmy-winning comedy, before it airs on its regular time slot (Wednesday 8:30 P.M.) starting October 3. "Suburgatory", which was originally slated to take the pre-"Modern Family" slot, is now moved to 9:30 P.M. and will debut its second season on October 17.

'Expendables 2' Sued Over the Death of Stuntman in Bulgaria

Even before hitting theaters nationwide, "The Expendables 2" has already been slapped with a lawsuit. Following the on-set incident that killed a stuntman named Kun Liu during the filming of an explosion scene in Bulgaria last October, the victim's family is now suing the producers of the upcoming star-studded actioner.

According to TMZ, Kun Liu's family accuses the producers of failing to take proper safety precaution during the "stunt-gone-wrong" accident back in 2011. His parents, Zong Yu Liu and Yan Mei Bai, are demanding unspecified damages of more than $25,000 against Millenium Films and stunt coordinator Chad Stahelski.

Calling Dane's character, who has been given the nickname "McSteamy" by Meredith and her friends, "one of the most beloved characters on Grey's Anatomy," Rhimes said that she and Dane "did not come to this decision lightly." She continued explaining, "But after much consideration and conversations, he and I have decided that this is the right time for his storyline to end."

Gerard Butler shows off his prodigious surfing skill in the first trailer of "Chasing Mavericks". Coming out via MTV, the trailer focuses on Butler's Frosty Hesson who teaches a young boy the right techniques to ride a "mythological" wave which is dubbed "the biggest wave in the world."

Frosty's protege is called Jay Moriarty, played by newcomer Jonny Weston. The character is based on real-life figure who embarked on a quest to ride the iconic Northern California break known as Mavericks. Jay was trained by Frosty for more than a year, and in the process, the two formed a unique bond that ultimately transformed both their lives. The real Jay died in a free-diving accident in 2001 when he was only 23.

Russell Brand is sentenced for smashing a paparazzo's iPhone a few months ago. The actor's lawyer Robert Glass entered a plea of not guilty on his behalf but the judge offered an alternative to criminal prosecution by making a deal that works for both sides.
