Adam Lambert may have a new role when he returns to "American Idol" next year. Words on the street are the runner-up of the show's eighth season is being considered as a new judge for the upcoming twelfth installment.

"They have been talking about Adam for over a month," a source tells E! Online. Of why the "For Your Entertainment" hitmaker is wanted on the singing competition that once helped launch his career, the source says, "He personifies the show, and will be a popular choice right from the start."

Ben Harper filed for divorce from his wife, Laura Dern, nearly two years ago and surprised everyone when they attended the Golden Globes together last January. Their public reunion sparked some talk about a possible reconciliation, but according to TMZ, the actress "has filed legal papers reactivating the dormant divorce."

Although they looked very happy when attending the HBO party at the Beverly Hiton following Dern's win for Best Actress in a Television Musical or Comedy, their attempted reconciliation was allegedly rocky. Now the "Enlightened" actress wants to continue with the divorce proceedings.

After Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" unveiled a new Comic-Con poster, Guillermo del Toro's "Pacific Rim" follows the footsteps by debuting its very first one-sheet. The poster highlights the sci-fier's main robot, Jaeger.

There are two armor-clad men pictured standing on the shoulder of the obsolete robot. They seem to be Charlie Hunnam and Idris Elba's characters, who look very tiny compared to Jaeger's super massive figure.

Despite having high-profile divorce and child-custody battle looming over her, Katie Holmes continues on with her day-to-day routine. Currently living in New York with Suri, she's recently spotted taking her daughter for a shopping trip to a local Whole Foods Market with a bodyguard tailing them.

Fifteen years after he formed hip hop duo Playaz Circle with Dolla Boy, 2 Chainz finally gets a chance to make his first solo album which is due August 14. He enlists such A-list artists as Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Kanye West, Ludacris and Rick Ross in the set titled "Based on a T.R.U. Story".

The lead single "No Lie", which features the Canadian rapper Drake, has been released in May and received warm response. Debuting at No. 45 on Billboard Hot 100, the track later climbed to reach its peak position at No. 40.

"Dredd" is still more than two months away from hitting theaters, but screenwriter Alex Garland reveals he's already planned its sequels. When attending a panel at London Film and Comic Con on Saturday, July 7, Garland opened up about his plan to make the film a trilogy if the first installment could surpass $50 million on box office.

"We'll see a sequel if the gross is above $50 million in the U.S.," the scribe said, as quoted by Bleeding Cool. "It's a simple financial equation. We're an independent movie... In terms of Dark Judges, I wrote Death into this script, but it didn't feel right for the first film. I thought it felt right but after about 16 drafts and it really didn't work out."

Sunday, July 8, marked the last night of the Essence Music Festval for this year. The main stage had some heavy hitting performers including Aretha Franklin. In addition to helping close the music festivity, the soul icon was given "The Power Award" during her performance.

The longtime mystery about who killed Beckett's mother will be finally solved in the next season of "Castle". Speaking of what could be expected in the upcoming fifth season, creator Andrew W. Marlowe said, "We do want to give Beckett some level of resolution."

Though Beckett will get what she's been looking for so long, the answer doesn't come without a drama as Marlowe continued teasing, "It's time to move beyond that mystery, but it leads to an explosive confrontation."

Congratulation is in order for Kourtney Kardashian. She has just given birth to her second child with beau Scott Disick. She delivered a baby girl on Sunday morning, July 8 at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The couple named the newborn Penelope Scotland Disick.

The baby weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces at time of birth. "Scott and I are overjoyed to welcome our precious angel Penelope Scotland Disick into our lives. We are forever blessed. Mommy and baby are resting comfortably," Kourtney told E! News.

Less than two weeks before it finally opens nationwide, "The Dark Knight Rises" releases a 13-minute behind-the-scenes featurette. In it, director Christopher Nolan and the leading cast members explain the film's main characters, including Bruce Wayne, Bane, Selina Kyle, John Blake, Lucius Fox, Alfred Pennyworth and Miranda Tate.

Also highlighted in the promotional video is the making of the epic movie. Shot in six different locations, the film used various massive sets and gadgets that were built in details and perfection. The footage also shows how Nolan filmed the stadium bombing scene and the police vs. mercenaries battle scene on the streets of Gotham.

Another reunion is set to take place in the upcoming episode of "Falling Skies". After Weaver found his long-lost daughter, Hal finds his first love Karen among bodies of de-harnessed children and brings her back to the 2nd Mass. Ben soon gets cautious and warns other members of the group that she's still attached to the aliens and may pose a threat to the group.

Apparently having the same suspicion with Ben, Maggie doesn't trust Karen and points her guns to her, forcing her to stop faking it. At the same time Weaver's health begins to deteriorate, Tom discovers that Weaver may have been keeping secrets. Meanwhile, Tom and Anne grow closer.

A teaser for a music video of the first single from No Doubt's new album "Push and Shove" has been released. In the 47-second video, a heavily-edited photo of the band is shown with the title of the single, "Settle Down", tagged on top of it.

The viewer is then rewarded with a shot of the band hugging. The scene is followed immediately by clips of people dancing. Bassist Tony Kanal, guitarist Tom Dumont, and drummer Adrian Young, meanwhile, are playing on top of trucks. Another highlight is lead singer Gwen Stefani singing on the hood of a truck.

Two Hollywood hotties have recently been caught on camera on the set of Adam Sandler's "Grown Ups 2". On Saturday, July 7, Taylor Lautner and Patrick Schwarzenegger were snapped filming a scene for the upcoming comedy in Boston, Massachusetts.

Both Taylor and Patrick were seen shooting a scene where they played a friendly football game. The "Twilight Saga" hunk looked handsome in a basic grey tee that he paired with blue jeans and sunglasses, while the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger looked charming in a white polo shirt with a small marijuana leaf symbol and a pair of dark denims.

It shows the four rappers hanging out by the pool surrounded by a lot of ladies clad in skimpy bikinis. The women dance around and have watergun fights, and the men party it up while drinking and gambling.

While all this is happening, the hosts look straight at the camera spitting out their verses. Each rapper gets a turn at boasting and bragging about how much money they have, expensive items that they own, and how many women they can get. The most surprising part of the video perhaps is Weezy suddenly sliding in on a skateboard.

As countdown to "The Walking Dead" season 3 premiere has begun on AMC, new scene from an upcoming episode was shared during "The Talking Dead" on Sunday, July 8. It has no dialog, but features Danai Gurira's Michonne killing three walkers with her trusty sword, before picking up aspirin.

In a chat during the talk show, showrunner Glen Mazzara called Rick's new style of leading the group "Ricktatorship." He added, "Rick has to whip that group in shape, there's no safe place to hide." As for The Governor who is portrayed by David Morrissey, he gushed, "The Governor thinks he's a messiah; he sees it as an opportunity to get onto history's stage."

Kyle Glover, the son of Usher's ex-wife Tameka Foster, is still in critical condition and reportedly suffers a brain damage. The boy was hospitalized on Friday, July 6 after he was hit in the head when a passing jet ski struck an inner tube he's riding.

According to TMZ, a source claims the 11-year-old boy has not experienced any brain activity since he was admitted to hospital after the accident over the weekend. There hasn't been any word on the decision whether or not to take him off life support.

Days before it goes to Hall H of the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con, Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" unleashes a brand new poster. Being debuted on the film's official Facebook page, the one-sheet features a beautiful landscape of what seems to be the green valley in Hobbiton.

Instead of featuring its lead protagonist, Bilbo Baggins, the poster presents Gandalf the Grey. Donning his signature wizard robe and hat, the elderly wizard portrayed by Ian McKellen walks alone in the green terrain.

When "True Blood" returns with a new episode next week, Sookie is in danger as she comes face to face with Russell Edgington. With Alcide, Bill and Eric being attacked, she has no one to protect her when Russell comes approaching her, ready to stick his fangs on her neck.

Treme Brass Band lost one of its members, Lionel Batiste. The musician, who served as a longtime bass drummer, assistant leader and singer of the band, died at the age of 81 after a month of declining health.

His daughter, Karen Williams, confirmed that Batiste passed away Sunday, July 8. He was surrounded by his family and friends at the Ochsner Health System's hospital located just outside his hometown of New Orleans.

While "Prometheus" has The Weyland Industries and "The Amazing Spider-Man" has Oscorp, Jose Padilha's anticipated "RoboCop" reboot features its own dominating megacorporation called Omnicorp. More than a year before the remake movie hits theaters, Omicorp unleashes its first ever viral campaign to promote its radical business.

Through its newly-released official site, "Omnicorp.com", the fictional company debuts a video that offers a look at what business the company runs. Presenting a futuristic setting, the footage introduces various robotic weapons that are created by Omni including the iconic killer robot "ED-209".

Rap superstar Kanye West was in Atlantic City on July 6, Friday, to grace the stage of Revel Resort & Casino's Ovation Hall. He began the show with "Dark Fantasy" as he glided over the crowd while he stood on top of a crane.

New promos for "Warehouse 13" season 4 have been released to tide fans over the upcoming return. Each of the clips highlights one member of the team and what they are good at. Pete, for example, is known for his ability to pick up both good and bad "vibes," which often save the team.

A newly-released "Breaking Bad" Comic-Con poster possibly gives a major spoiler for season 5. The one-sheet teases the return of junkyard owner Old Joe since a man who strongly resembles him is featured standing between Walt and Jesse, who are seemingly engaging in an intense showdown.

Portrayed by Larry Hankin, Old Joe appeared in the third season of the crime series. He owned the junkyard where Walt and Jesse's RV met its destruction, when Hank was close to get them. It is likely that Old Joe will have a role in finding a new meth lab for Walt and Jesse.

Ernest Borgnine, who was best known for his role as a hard-working, yet socially awkward butcher named Marty in an award-winning movie of the same name, has passed away on Sunday afternoon, July 8 due to kidney failure. He was 95.

"It's a very sad day," his manager Lynda Bensky said. "The industry has lost someone great, the caliber of which we will never see again. A true icon. But more importantly, the world has lost a sage and loving man who taught us all how to 'grow young.' His infectious smile and chuckle made the world a happier place."

Sienna Miller reportedly has given birth to her first child in London over the weekend. Us Weekly's source revealed the birth, but did not provide other details such as the baby's gender, name and weight.

Miller was last spotted with her baby bump late last month when she met new parents, Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky, and their newborn daughter, India. They chatted for a few minutes on a London street before parting.

Justin Bieber is taking a defensive action in the recent speeding case, filing a complaint against one of the paparazzi who chased him down the 101 Freeway in Los Angeles. The pop star claimed that one paparazzi was endangering many lives by persistently pursuing his car.

Bieber was approached by police officers on the set of his music video "As Long as You Love Me" on Friday, July 6 afternoon after the incident. The singer had been cited for speeding earlier that morning but he filed a harassment complaint, pinning the fault on one particular photographer.
