Report: Adam Lambert Is Considered as 'American Idol' Judge

Adam Lambert may have a new role when he returns to "American Idol" next year. Words on the street are the runner-up of the show's eighth season is being considered as a new judge for the upcoming twelfth installment.

"They have been talking about Adam for over a month," a source tells E! Online. Of why the "For Your Entertainment" hitmaker is wanted on the singing competition that once helped launch his career, the source says, "He personifies the show, and will be a popular choice right from the start."

Laura Dern and Ben Harper's Divorce Is Back On

Ben Harper filed for divorce from his wife, Laura Dern, nearly two years ago and surprised everyone when they attended the Golden Globes together last January. Their public reunion sparked some talk about a possible reconciliation, but according to TMZ, the actress "has filed legal papers reactivating the dormant divorce."

Although they looked very happy when attending the HBO party at the Beverly Hiton following Dern's win for Best Actress in a Television Musical or Comedy, their attempted reconciliation was allegedly rocky. Now the "Enlightened" actress wants to continue with the divorce proceedings.

After Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" unveiled a new Comic-Con poster, Guillermo del Toro's "Pacific Rim" follows the footsteps by debuting its very first one-sheet. The poster highlights the sci-fier's main robot, Jaeger.

There are two armor-clad men pictured standing on the shoulder of the obsolete robot. They seem to be Charlie Hunnam and Idris Elba's characters, who look very tiny compared to Jaeger's super massive figure.

Despite having high-profile divorce and child-custody battle looming over her, Katie Holmes continues on with her day-to-day routine. Currently living in New York with Suri, she's recently spotted taking her daughter for a shopping trip to a local Whole Foods Market with a bodyguard tailing them.

The 33-year-old actress wore high-waisted long denims, aviator glasses and a white top, while Suri donned a long-sleeved pink knit top, flips-flops and a white skirt. The 6-year-old girl hid her face from camera and clung to her mother while clutching her doll, blanket and some bags.

Fifteen years after he formed hip hop duo Playaz Circle with Dolla Boy, 2 Chainz finally gets a chance to make his first solo album which is due August 14. He enlists such A-list artists as Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Kanye West, Ludacris and Rick Ross in the set titled "Based on a T.R.U. Story".

The lead single "No Lie", which features the Canadian rapper Drake, has been released in May and received warm response. Debuting at No. 45 on Billboard Hot 100, the track later climbed to reach its peak position at No. 40.

'Dredd' Planned as Trilogy, Scribe Alex Garland Dishes on Sequels' Plot

"Dredd" is still more than two months away from hitting theaters, but screenwriter Alex Garland reveals he's already planned its sequels. When attending a panel at London Film and Comic Con on Saturday, July 7, Garland opened up about his plan to make the film a trilogy if the first installment could surpass $50 million on box office.

"We'll see a sequel if the gross is above $50 million in the U.S.," the scribe said, as quoted by Bleeding Cool. "It's a simple financial equation. We're an independent movie... In terms of Dark Judges, I wrote Death into this script, but it didn't feel right for the first film. I thought it felt right but after about 16 drafts and it really didn't work out."

Congratulation is in order for Kourtney Kardashian. She has just given birth to her second child with beau Scott Disick. She delivered a baby girl on Sunday morning, July 8 at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The couple named the newborn Penelope Scotland Disick.

The baby weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces at time of birth. "Scott and I are overjoyed to welcome our precious angel Penelope Scotland Disick into our lives. We are forever blessed. Mommy and baby are resting comfortably," Kourtney told E! News.

Less than two weeks before it finally opens nationwide, "The Dark Knight Rises" releases a 13-minute behind-the-scenes featurette. In it, director Christopher Nolan and the leading cast members explain the film's main characters, including Bruce Wayne, Bane, Selina Kyle, John Blake, Lucius Fox, Alfred Pennyworth and Miranda Tate.

Also highlighted in the promotional video is the making of the epic movie. Shot in six different locations, the film used various massive sets and gadgets that were built in details and perfection. The footage also shows how Nolan filmed the stadium bombing scene and the police vs. mercenaries battle scene on the streets of Gotham.

Usher's Stepson Suffers Brain Damage After Jet Ski Accident

Kyle Glover, the son of Usher's ex-wife Tameka Foster, is still in critical condition and reportedly suffers a brain damage. The boy was hospitalized on Friday, July 6 after he was hit in the head when a passing jet ski struck an inner tube he's riding.

According to TMZ, a source claims the 11-year-old boy has not experienced any brain activity since he was admitted to hospital after the accident over the weekend. There hasn't been any word on the decision whether or not to take him off life support.
