Celebrities and movie stars alike are mourning the death of filmmaker/producer/writer Nora Ephron, who lost battle against cancer on June 26. Her longtime friend , fellow writer Shonda Rhimes and another friend and collaborator have all offered their condolence upon hearing the sad news.
Streep, who worked with Ephron in 1986's "Heartburn" and 2009's "", called the third-time Academy Award nominee a "stalwart." She told New York Times, "You could call on her for anything: doctors, restaurants, recipes, speeches, or just a few jokes, and we all did it, constantly. She was an expert in all the departments of living well."
