Oprah Winfrey NOT Godmother to Beyonce Knowles' Baby Girl

Contrary to previous reports, Oprah Winfrey is not a godmother to Beyonce Knowles's daughter Blue Ivy Carter. On Friday, January 27, Winfrey's close friend Gayle King set the record straight on "CBS This Morning", saying, "It's absolutely not true that she's the godmother."

"She's friends with them, of course, and likes them both very much. She's working on sending them a baby gift. She hasn't even had time to send a baby gift because she's been away," King explained. "Let me just say, if (that report is) true, it is news to her. It is news to her. You know, she was heading to South Africa when the baby was born."

'The Big Bang Theory' Actor Simon Helberg to Be First Time Father in Spring

Baby news is coming from a cast member of "The Big Bang Theory". Simon Helberg, the actor known for his portrayal of aerospace engineer Howard Wolowitz on the CBS sitcom, is expecting to welcome his first child with actress wife Jocelyn Towne in Spring, his representative has confirmed.

The Rabbi Scott of "A Serious Man" met Towne in his home town of Los Angeles, California. They tied the knot in 2007. In November 2011, the actor reportedly bought Charlie Sheen's Mediterranean-style home in the prominent Los Feliz neighborhood for $2.9 million.

SAG Board of Directors Agree to Seal AFTRA Merger Plan

Two leading acting unions in Hollywood, the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, are one step closer to be unified in a merger agreement. On Friday, January 27, the SAG Board of Directors have voted overwhelmingly to approve the acquisition proposal with the sister union AFTRA.

The proposal includes a Merger Agreement and Constitution and was approved 87.1% to 12.9% by the SAG voters. It outlines "the plan of merger, dues and finance structure, membership requirements, and other basic attributes of the successor union." The proposed name for the new union, meanwhile, is SAG-AFTRA.

Previews of 'CSI: NY' and 'Blue Bloods' February 3 Episode

Next week on CBS, two different teams of law enforcement in New York face new problems on "CSI: NY" and "Blue Bloods". On the former series, Mac and Jo investigate a role-playing game which turns lethal after one player falls victim to a bona fide killer and the other is kidnaped and held for ransom.

Meanwhile on "Blue Bloods", Frank deals with the impending loss of a friend whom he worked with at Ground Zero. At the same time, Frank's son Danny and his family are trying to heal their trauma after they are caught in the crossfire when Danny fires his weapon at the suspect. Still, the NYPD detective refuses to open up in front of his sister Erin and insists they are fine.

Former 'SYTYCD' Choreographer Gets 10 Years Jail Time for Rape and Assault

A salsa dance instructor who worked on the first four seasons of "So You Think You Can Dance" will have to spend the next 10 years of his life behind bars. Alex Da Silva was sentenced to state prison on Friday, January 27, for raping a former dance student and assaulting another.

During the sentencing, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Kathleen Kennedy told Da Silva that he clearly "does not respect women" and "believes he is entitled to do whatever he wants when he wants." The judge also ordered the 43-year-old to register as a sex offender once he's out of prison.

A "Toddlers & Tiaras" mother is waging a legal war against media outlets over stories about her 5-year-old daughter's club performance. On Tuesday, January 24, Susanna Barrett filed a $30 million libel suit against the parent companies of TMZ, the Huffington Post, London's Daily Mail in Manhattan Supreme Court.

In her suit, Susanna stated that the online articles published by the three sites "brazenly attempt to sexualize" Isabella by "claiming she was gyrating in a nightclub and singing about her sex appeal". She pointed out that her 5-year-old "did not understand the concept of sex, let alone 'sex appeal' and could not have been singing about her own sex appeal."

The Earth's Mightiest Heroes' fanboys will have a special chance to chat with "The Avengers" director and cast members on Twitter. Marvel Studios has announced on Friday, January 27 that the highly anticipated superhero movie will have a live-chat event on the social networking site. The studio additionally confirmed to unleash an exclusive Super Bowl spot for the film during the event.

The Global Twitter Chat event will take place on Tuesday, January 31 at 11 A.M. PST. Director/writer Joss Whedon as well as Tom Hiddleston (who stars as Loki) and Clark Gregg (who plays Agent Phil Coulson) will be on hand to support the 30-minute live tweeting event, which is going to be moderated by Marvel's @Agent_M.

Five women with impending motherhood are captured in the latest promotional posters of "What to Expect When You're Expecting". The drama comedy film's stars, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Anna Kendrick, Brooklyn Decker, and Elizabeth Banks appear in individual character posters with hilarious quotes from the film attached.

Diaz plays Jules, a weight-loss TV show host who says, "If I knew I'd have a rack like this I'd have gotten knocked up years ago". Lopez's character, Holly, may not have the burgeoning belly like the other women but she becomes a mother after adopting a baby.
