Placebo to Play Sundance Festival in London

Set to perform at next year's Sundance Film and Music Festival is British rock band Placebo. It has been announced that the trio will play London's O2 Indigo on April 28, the third day of the annual festival.

"We're excited to return to The O2 to perform at this event. As a band, we follow our own philosophy of making the music we want to make, putting faith in our songs and records. The Sundance Film Festival has been championing similarly like-minded people for over 30 years and encouraging them to put faith in their own talent," said frontman Brian Molko.

Burglars Tried to Break Into Samantha Ronson's House

Samantha Ronson is the latest celebrity who becomes a burglary victim. Thieves reportedly broke into the DJ's Los Angeles home on Monday, November 28, successfully taking away an unknown item worth more than $1,000.

According to police reports, the burglars tried to break through the garage of Ronson's Venice, CA home. They failed to get inside the property but managed to grab a pricey item and dodged the police. Call to 911 was received just before 7 P.M. but police arrived too late to catch the burglars. It is unknown whether Ronson was home when the robbery took place.

Regis Philbin to Enter Primetime With Family Talent Show

Regis Philbin did mean it when he said he did not retire despite quitting "Live with Regis and Kelly". Less than two weeks after ending his 28-year gig on the ABC morning show, the 80-year-old reveals his plans to bring forward a new talent show for primetime.

"We're contemplating a show that is sort of a talent show, but it involves the whole family," he tells New York Post's Page Six about the project before adding, "a family competition, which is something new in our business. It's going to be on prime time when it happens."

Victoria Adams has got the ultimate recognition from the fashion world. On Monday, November 28, night, the singer-turned-fashion designer wife of David Beckham won her first award at the 2011 British Fashion Awards. She collected the kudo for Designer Brand of the Year, beating the likes of Tom Ford, Burberry and Stella McCartney.

Upon receiving the prize, the former Spice Girls member said, "I would like to thank the British fashion industry for your support." She went on to thank Simon Fuller, her parents, her children and her husband David. "Without him I wouldn't have had the courage to do what I am doing," she added in her speech.

Video Premiere: Anthony Hamilton's 'Woo'

Anthony Hamilton has debuted a music video in support of his newest single "Woo". In the clip directed by Marcus Raboy, the R&B crooner is a criminal who's playing a game of cat and mouse with a sexy female detective. "She's so fly she's so bad, But she's trouble yeah," he sings.

Hamilton will include "Woo", which was produced by Babyface, in his new studio album "Back to Love". He's going to release the effort across the United States on December 13 via RCA Records, and will follow it up with a 19-city tour which is set to launch before the end of this year.

Tom Hanks to Turn World War II Novel 'In the Garden of Beasts' Into a Movie

Tom Hanks is developing a new World War II-themed movie. It is reported that the "Larry Crowne" director is going to adapt Erik Larson's best-selling novel "In the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror and an American Family in Hitler's Berlin" into a film for Universal.

The non-fiction book chronicles the real life of William Dodd, the U.S. Ambassador to Berlin in 1933, which was Hitler's first year in power. As that first year unfolds and the shadows deepen, Dodd and his family experience days full of excitement, intrigue, romance - and ultimately, horror, when a climactic spasm of violence and murder reveals Hitler's true character and ruthless ambition.

Kim Kardashian's failed marriage apparently makes the TV personality reconsider her view of fairy tale romance and her family plans. In an interview for the January issue of Glamour magazine, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star claimed to have come to realization that she may never have children of her own.

"I always wanted what Mom and Dad had. And at first I was like, I want six kids. Then I went down to four, then I was down to three," confessed the 31-year-old during the chat conducted after she announced she's divorcing Kris Humphries, "and now I'm like, maybe I won't have any. Maybe I'll just be a good aunt."

Summit Entertainment and Lionsgate Enter Negotiation for Merger

Two Hollywood big studios, Summit Entertainment and Lionsgate, could end up working hand in hand instead of rivaling each other. Sources said that the home of "Twilight Saga" movie series have been in early stage of a negotiation for a possible merger with the studio behind the upcoming potential big movie "The Hunger Games".

The two companies, which are headquartered around the block from each other in Santa Monica, have pursued on-and-off merger talks since late 2008, according to people familiar to the situation. The discussions always met a dead-end due to key issues of pricing and management control, but they never abandoned their talks.

New 'The Walking Dead' Clips Highlight the Growing Suspicions

When "The Walking Dead" returns in winter, the characters are going to be pitted against each other. Picking up where the November 27 episode left off, a new clip from the upcoming outing sees Shane confronting Hershel after finding a heartbreaking answer to Sophia's existence. He accuses the veterinarian of hiding the truth about the little girl from the survivors while they were looking in vain.

In another clip, Lori and Dale discuss about Shane and what happened to Otis when the two went out to get some medical supplies needed to keep Carl alive earlier in the second season. While Lori thinks Shane is not a murderer, Dale believes that Rick's former fellow deputy sheriff sacrificed Otis. "...and sooner or later, he's gonna kill somebody else," the elder man insists.

Mother of Michael Jackson's Doctor Pleads for Leniency in Sentencing

As Conrad Murray stares down possibility of spending the next four year in jail for the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson, his mother is begging the judge in charge of the case for mercy. In an effort to have her son avoiding prison sentence, Milta Rush has sent a letter to Judge Michael Pastor.

Milta wrote in the letter, obtained by TMZ, that her only son "has never been in trouble with the law before and I am barely standing, scared and worried sick about him being incarcerated." She added, "He is saddened and remorseful about the death of his friend Michael Jackson and I do believe he is certainly learning the toughest lesson of his life."

Pentatonix's sacrifice to join "The Sing-Off" has been paid off. The electro-funky quintet, whose members dropped out of school to compete on the singing competition, were crowned the winner of the NBC show's season 3.

The awards season has officially been kicked off as the 21st annual Gotham Independent Film Awards announced its winners on Monday, November 28. Coming out as the biggest winner of the evening was "Beginners" as it took home two kudos and beat its strongest competitor, Oscar hopeful "The Descendants".

In addition to winning Best Ensemble Performance, the Mike Mills-directed comedy-drama came out in tie with Terrence Malick's "The Tree of Life" for Best Feature. On the tie decision, juror Natalie Portman explained that the jury could not choose between the two dramatically different films without feeling as if they were shortchanging one of them.

Red Hot Chili Peppers are coming back on the road next year to support their comeback album "I'm With You". The West Coast band fronted by Anthony Kiedis announce that they will embark on a world tour and launch it with a North American leg starting January 2012.

Six dates of the upcoming tour have been officially revealed. Tickets for the confirmed shows are going to be made available for purchase beginning December 3. The other shows will be announced in the coming weeks along with info about ticket on-sale dates.

"F**k you. F**k you, you f**king b***h," Mavis yells at a stunned Beth while ignoring the other ladies in the neighborhood who are staring at them with horrified expression. Mavis then lets out what seems to be a half-hearted laugh. "It's a joke. .. I love your sweater," she says to Beth without really meaning it.

2012 may be the year for the long-rumored "Poltergeist" remake to pick up its momentum. Roy Lee, the producer behind "The Ring" and "The Grudge", dropped a tidbit about the potential project when met on the Los Angeles set of Takashi Shimizu's new film, "7500".
