Russell Armstrong, who appeared on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" for being married to the reality show's star Taylor Armstrong, was found dead hanging in his bedroom. Investigators found no foul play on the scene, leading to the speculation that the 47-year-old committed suicide.

"I can confirm that Mr. Armstrong was found dead from an apparent hanging in a residence on Mulholland Drive," LAPD spokesman Richard French told People. No suicide note was found on the scene, sources said.

One person who cheers upon the cancellation of TLC's "Kate Plus 8" is Jon Gosselin. The ex-husband of the reality show's star Kate Gosselin is "very relieved" now that the show comes to an end because his children can now lead a "normal life".

The cancellation was announced on Monday, August 15 and Kate said that she and the kids were sad but still look forward to other endeavors. Jon has been against the show since it was relaunched last year, saying that his twins and sextuplets have been exposed too much to the public. He even prevented TLC from filming his kids for a while.

Mel Gibson and ex lover Oksana Grigorieva are at each other's throat again after finding out that they have disagreed where their 22-month-old daughter should go. The actor reportedly does not want to drive all the way to San Fernando Valley to pick up Lucia from a private school Oksana has chosen.

Mel is based in Malibu and has to drive hours to drop and pick their daughter. He is asking for a school which is fair distance-wise for both of them. TMZ reported that Oksana still wants a sole custody of Lucia while Mel thought that 50/50 share would solve most of their problems. The Russian singer allegedly is still bitter towards her ex and would rather drag him down to the mud.

The intention may be good but it is not taken well. KISS' plan to take part at the Michael Jackson tribute concert on October 8 in Wales is dissed by the King of Pop's fans and Estate because the rock band's member Gene Simmons publicly called Michael a pedophile in 2010.

The bassist once told Classic Rock, "Where there's smoke, there's fire. There's no question in my mind he molested those kids. Not a doubt." He added, "The only sexual references ever made about Michael Jackson that were made by anyone, anywhere around the world, have always been made by kids, and specifically males usually 10 to 14 years of age; never females, that age or older, and never grown men."

In anticipation of its impending release, two new clips from "Fright Night" have been unleashed. The first clip titled "Your Son Is Harassing Me" sees Jerry Dandrige trying to get into Jane Brewster's house and talk to her. However, Jane's son, Charlie, convinces her so hard to ignore Jerry because he believes Jerry is not a good guy.

The other clip which is called "Let's Go Kill Something", meanwhile, puts its highlight on Peter Vincent who bumps into Charlie in a dark room. Peter then reveals that he's got various weapons hidden under his jacket. With a devilish look in his eyes, Peter asks Charley to join him to enter what looks like a hidden chamber.

Lady GaGa is giving Christmas a makeover. Barneys New York has announced on Monday, August 15 that the department store are teaming up with the "Born This Way" hitmaker for a holiday campaign called "GaGa's Workshop", which will serve as her interpretation of Santa's workshop.

The 25-year-old singer will get some creative assistance from Eli Sudbrack and Christophe Hamaide Pierson of Assume Vivid Astro Focus, as well as her fashion director Nicola Formichetti for the project. She will take over the entire fifth floor of Barneys' Madison Avenue flagship men's store starting in mid-November.

In a new promo for the special two-hour premiere of season 8, the mother of one receives the bad news from Dr. Richard Webber that she is fired, leading her to regret what she did.

The preview video also reminds fans about Cristina's stance on motherhood since she is heard saying, "I really don't wanna be a mother, I wanna be a surgeon." Hatred and romance are also going to be seen in the first two episodes, with more dramas occuring inside and outside the surgery room.

"The Avengers" has begin its first shooting day in East Ninth Street, Ohio early on Monday, August 15. In a newly-shared YouTube video, it can be seen how the street was transformed into the 42nd Street of New York City and being hit by a massive explosion that made a panic attack in the city during the production.

In addition to the video, several new on-set images, which give sneak peeks to some astounding special effects used in the movie, have also arrived on the web. The pictures give a look at NYC yellow cabs and cars that are being blown into the air by a destructive explosion. A heavy damage is also spotted on the set with ruined buildings as the background.

Lady GaGa gives a sneak peek at her upcoming "You and I" music video by tweeting a picture of her banged-up, dirty feet which are strapped in a pair of black high heels. The bruises are meant as a courtesy of the long walk she takes to get back to her lover.

"The [video is about the] idea that when you're away from someone you love, it's torture," she once said. "I knew I wanted the video to be about me sprinting back and walking hundreds of thousands of miles [ from New York City to Nebraska] to get him back."

Miley Cyrus has secured her inducted into the Celebrity Bowling Hall of Fame. Collecting 42% of votes that was cast between July 12 and August 6 this year, the former "Hannah Montana" star beat out strong contender Justin Bieber, who trailed behind with 30% of votes.

Steve Johnson, executive director of the Bowling Proprietors' Association of America, admitted to have predicted the battle between the two stars. They ranked 20 solo rappers who have dropped an album during the period of time, and looked at their album sales, R&B/hip-hop and rap charts, popularity in social media, concert grosses, awards and critics' ratings.

Adam Carolla has landed in hot water with LGBT media watchdog groups. The former "Loveline" co-host was accused by GLAAD of "gross intolerance" for the offensive comments he made on his recent podcast for "The Adam Carolla Show". Afterward, he issued some sort of apology.

Through his representative, the 47-year-old told EW, "I'm sorry my comments were hurtful." Still, he added, "I'm a comedian, not a politician." GLAAD has since responded to the half-hearted apology by issuing a statement that continues to berate the radio host.

Bradley Cooper won't be playing Eric Draven in "The Crow" as planned. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the "Limitless" actor has decided to walk away from the Juan Carlos Fresnadillo-directed remake film because of scheduling conflicts.

The upcoming supernatural action film is actually expected to begin shooting in the first quarter of 2012, but Cooper still has two other projects on his sleeves. He is set to start filming "The Silver Linings Playbook" this fall, before moving forward with "Paradise Lost" in early next year.

In the second episode of "The Lying Game", Emma continues assuming the identity of Sutton when there is no word from her newfound twin sister. As it was anticipated, MTV officially renewed comedy series "Awkward" for season 2. The network has ordered 12 episodes for the new chapter which is slated to debut in early 2012. "We love the show and Awkward's comedic voice really shines through in such a brilliant way in these episodes," MTV head of programming David Janollari gushed about the show.

The news comes on the heels of a high rating for the teen series. It drew 1.9 million viewers on Tuesday, August 9, up from the 1.7 million who tuned in the July 19 series premiere. Last week's episode also drew 2.0 rating, up 21 percent from the week before.

"The Talk" might undergo hosting changes in season 2. Sources say Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete are not expected to return for the upcoming second season since their options have not been picked up, while the show evaluates its creative direction.

The Jake Scott version of Jeff Buckley biopic has finally found its leading man. The "Welcome to the Rileys" director has chosen Reeve Carney to portray the late musician in the project which is still untitled.

Explaining his reason to pick the 28-year-old actor, who sounds not familiar in Hollywood, Scott said, "We are excited to have found in Reeve the perfect combination of musical prodigy, impish charm, innate intelligence and sensitivity to play Jeff." Carney himself is best known for playing Peter Parker a.k.a Spider-Man in the Broadway show "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark".

Brad Pitt is reportedly in negotiation to tackle the main role in New Regency's new project "The Gray Man". The "Inglourious Basterds" actor is said to play a CIA agent-turned-elite assassin who is on the run when his last job goes bad. While dodging the forces who are out to get him, he has to keep his family safe.

The movie is based on Mark Greaney's thriller novel of the same name. Adam Cozad will provide the script, and Pitt's Plan B partner Dede Gardner will serve as a producer along with Stephen Garrett of Shine. James Gray, meanwhile, is tapped to sit behind the lens.

Jennifer Aniston is not coming to "Days of Our Lives" despite recent news which said otherwise. A representative for the "Just Go With It" beauty has denied that she will appear in several episodes of the NBC daytime drama series, saying there was no truth to the rumors.

Previously, it was reported that Jennifer will lend her power to save the soap opera starring her father John Aniston, which is on the edge of being axed due to poor ratings. TLC has pulled the plug on "Kate Plus 8". The network announced on Monday, August 15 that it decided not to renew the show, which was previously called "Jon & Kate Plus 8", for another season.

Kate Gosselin later took it to Twitter to respond to the show's cancellation. "We've had a great run! Six years of whirlwind funfilled adventures thanks to TLC and our many many supportive &diehard fans!" she wrote in a series of posts.

Organizers for 2011 MTV Video Music Awards have been "talking about acknowledging" Amy Winehouse when the show is televised live at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on August 28. "We had a great history with Amy," VMAs executive producer Amy Doyle told Billboard. "She was very near and dear to us."

Last month one day after Winehouse was cremated, MTV paid homage to the late singer by broadcasting a special tribute concert which was stuffed with her rarely-seen performances from the year of 2007 when she was at the height of her superstardom.
