Former Spice Girls star Melanie Brown is terrified she will be caught up in a tsunami horror following Friday, March 11's earthquake in Japan. The singer and her husband Stephen Belafonte are currently on a trip around the Far East and traveled to Malaysia from Singapore earlier this week.

She took to her Twitter blog soon after the 8.9-magnitude tremor hit Japan on Friday - but her concerns turned to terror when a tsunami warning was issued for more than 20 countries and islands, including Malaysia.

Casey Abrams is feeling better after his second hospital visit since entering "American Idol" competition. The judges favorite was missing from the Top 13 line-up when the result show was aired on Thursday night, March 10, but hours after the show was broadcast to the East coast, he gave an update of his condition.

"hey guys, thanks for the well wishes, I got some nice fresh blood in me and feeling better," tweeted the aspiring singer. "People at Idol & Cedars are treatin me real good." Firefighters were called to the movie studios where the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II" franchise was filmed after a blaze broke out on Thursday, March 10. It took emergency services nearly an hour to put out the fire at Leavesden Film Studios, which is owned by Warner Bros., in Hertfordshire, England.

The cause of the blaze and the extent of the damage is not yet known. A security worker tells Britain's Daily Mirror, "Fortunately the block where the fire started was empty because of refurbishment. But things could easily have got a lot worse if staff hadn't acted quickly."

Oscar winner Trent Reznor has confirmed plans to start work on a new album later in 2011. Reznor hasn't released any new music under the moniker since 2008, and he prompted fears there would be no more Nine Inch Nails music in 2009 after announcing he would no longer be playing live.

The band was expected to head back into the studio in 2011, but no new material surfaced. Now Reznor has assured fans another project is on its way, although he's having to go back to basics.

Long rumored to appear in "Green Lantern" film, planet Mogo has been allegedly unveiled in a new promo image. Obtained by The Daily BLAM!, the photo shows what is believed to be the sentient planet which half part is overlapped by Hal Jordan's face.

Mogo is a living planet, and is a genderless character in "Green Lantern" though it is often referred to as male. It has the standard powers of a Green Lantern Power Ring. It can alter his weather and surface conditions such as plant growth, and travel faster than light speed in space. It also has extrasensory awareness concerning his surrounds and telepathically guides the Green Lantern Power rings to their bearer.

British model-turned-reality TV star Katie Price has begun divorce proceedings to end her marriage to cage fighter Alex Reid, according to a U.K. Report. Price, also known as Jordan, filed for divorce on Thursday, March 10, in Britain's High Court, reports British newspaper The Sun. But the busty beauty refused to let her marriage woes get her down - she headed to London's Gem Bar with rumored new boyfriend Leandro Penna later that night.

Price married Reid in Las Vegas last year, just months after divorcing Australian singer Peter Andre, the father of two of her children. She has hired attorney Fiona Shackleton, who represented Sir Paul McCartney after his split from Heather Mills, as her legal counsel.

Madonna is in mourning following the death of her beloved grandmother on Thursday, March 10. The pop legend's maternal grandmother Elsie Mae Fortin passed away at a care home in Bay City, Michigan - just three months shy of her 100th birthday.

A man who was allegedly verbally abused by John Galliano has defended the disgraced designer, insisting he doesn't deserve to have his career "destroyed" over the incident. But Philippe Virgitti, who filed a police complaint along with pal Geraldine Bloch, has dismissed the matter as a "simple bar dispute" which shouldn't impair the couturier's career. Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino is taking legal action in a bid to silence his neighbor's collection of "obnoxious" birds. The "Pulp Fiction" director is suing Academy Award-winning screenwriter Alan Ball, claiming he has been unable to work on new scripts due to the "blood-curdling screams" coming from the "exotic bird menagerie".

In the lawsuit, which was filed on Thursday, March 10 and obtained by TMZ.com, Tarantino also alleges that "True Blood" creator Ball has "done little to eliminate the macaws' daily cacophony", which he describes as "obnoxious pteradactyl-like screams".

Rapper/actor Romeo is learning his upcoming stint on U.S. TV hit "Dancing with the Stars" is a big deal - even the police are backing him to win the contest. The young star was pulled over by cops on Wednesday, March 9, as he and dance partner Chelsea Hightower were on their way to a party - just so the officers could let him know they were backing him for glory.

Moviemaker Julian Schnabel has won his appeal against the 'R' rating for new movie "Miral". The director argued his film - about a Palestinian orphan growing up amid the violence in Israel - was aimed at teenagers, so it would give them a better understanding of the religious strife in the Middle East. He told the Motion Picture Association of America's appeals board that censors had been unduly restrictive - and the officials agreed, handing his movie a softer PG-13 rating.

Schnabel's victory comes a day after he penned an essay for The Huffington Post blog, in which he defended his appeal plans. The film is based on the life of Schnabel's Palestinian girlfriend, Rula Jebreal, and adapted from her 2004 novel of the same name.

Foo Fighters are out loud in their latest music video supporting their new single "Rope". The alternative rock band, led by Dave Grohl, are jamming inside a white room. There might be a bunch of recent performance videos out there, but this new one is unlike any one of those because it ditched digital cameras and was entirely shot on VHS.

"Nowadays, if we go play in a club and someone has a video phone, they film it and then they put it on YouTube and it becomes a video," Dave said to MTV. "The distribution of any of that information or images, it goes out everywhere, like that. ... That's f***ing rad."

More scenes from "Rio" have been clipped to give moviegoers a sneak peek to the upcoming film. It follows Blu and another macaw bird who escape from a cage. Unable to fly because their legs are chained to each other's, the two birds must move faster to elude captures by another bird as well as some men who steal them. The chase scene ends with a city's blackout.

Blu is a rare macaw who thinks he is the last of his kind and cannot fly. When Blu discovers there's another - and that she's a she - he leaves the comforts of his cage in small town Minnesota and heads to Rio. Actor Jerry O'Connell has pulled himself out of the running to replace Charlie Sheen in TV sitcom "Two and a Half Men", insisting no one can step in for the show's fired star. O'Connell was added to a growing list of U.S. TV stars suggested as ideal replacements for Sheen after he filmed a mock audition for the show as part of a recent online skit, but he insists he doesn't want the role.

Appearing on TV show "Lopez Tonight!" in America on Wednesday, March 9, the "Kangaroo Jack" star said, "Nobody can replace that guy. I did a sketch on the web and it was a joke. We did it last week when all that stuff was funny but I think, this week, it's not so funny anymore."

"Two and a Half Men" creator Chuck Lorre's lawyer has fired back at Charlie Sheen after the actor named his client in a $100 million lawsuit, calling the star's complaint "recklessly false and unwarranted".

Sheen began legal proceedings against Lorre and executives at Warner Bros. on Thursday, March 10, just three days after he was fired from the hit sitcom. In the suit, Sheen's lawyer Marty Singer claimed the series' cancellation in February was based on "Lorre's egotistical desire to punish Mr. Sheen".

Los Angeles police have paid a visit to Charlie Sheen's Mullholland Estates home on late Thursday night, March 10. Norma Eisenman, a spokeswoman for LAPD, confirmed the visit to People magazine, adding that the authorities were searching the house for guns. Soon after, the troubled star took to Twitter to assure his followers that all is well.

Slowly but sure, a cloak that covers J.J. Abrams' secret project "Super 8" is removed. After sharing the first footage in form of a TV spot aired during Super Bowl, Paramount Pictures has finally released an official plot synopsis for the sci-fi movie.

"In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident," so the plot read. "Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth - something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined."

Actor Tony Danza has filed for divorce from his second wife Tracy, more than four years after the couple split. The star of 1980s U.S. shows "Taxi and Who's the Boss?" separated from his wife in 2006 and he's now asking a U.S. judge to officially declare their 24-year union over.

Danza is citing irreconcilable differences for the split, according to TMZ. The former couple has two daughters, Katherine, 24, and Emily, 17.

Another "The A-Team" movie is highly unlikely. Bradley Cooper was recently asked about a potential follow-up to the 2010 film, and despite his interest to reprise his role as Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck, the actor gave hint that there is very little chance the project is happening.

"I loved it too," Cooper said in response to Holmesy's statement that "The A-Team" was great. "But unfortunately, outside of you, a few of your friends and myself, there just wasn't enough revenue to supply a second installment of that franchise," he added during a webchat held at Empire office.

Justin Bieber was forced to stay inside Hard Days Night Hotel once he arrived in Liverpool, England on March 10 because hundreds of fans flocked outside the building and would cause a "potential riot" if he dared to come out. Reportedly, the Canadian singing sensation was supposed to take a historic "The Beatles" tour in the city that day, but has scrapped it due to the unsafe environment.

Although it was impossible to come out of his hotel, Bieber managed to greet his fans from the balcony. "There are like thousands of people out there. Love everybody but gonna try and get some sleep. Please don't scream lol," he tweeted. "THIS IS CRAZY! Trying to work it out so I can say whatup to my fans. I LOVE YOU GUYS!"

Joel Madden had a pillow fight on his hands earlier this week, March 7, after his socialite wife Nicole Richie spent a staggering $3,000 (GBP2,000) on top-of-the-range bedding. The Good Charlotte rocker was left speechless when he received his credit card bill to find Richie had spent a fortune on expensive pillows.

FX network has released the first official promo of "Wilfred" which promises something different out of comedies. It opens with an introduction of what kind of person Elijah Wood's Ryan is and what kind of unexpected turn of event showed up right on his front door.

The half-hour comedy revolves around Ryan, a young man struggling unsuccessfully to make his way in the world until he forms a unique friendship with Wilfred, his neighbor's canine pet. Everyone else sees Wilfred as just a dog, but Ryan sees a crude and somewhat surly, yet irrepressibly brave and honest Australian bloke in a cheap dog suit.

Rapper Beanie Sigel is facing a lawsuit over a shooting at his 35th birthday party which allegedly left a reveler with serious injuries. The hip-hop star, real name Dwight Grant, hosted a bash at a nightclub in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania back in 2009 but the event descended into chaos when Tyheem Baker was allegedly shot in the chest as the rapper performed on stage.

He was hospitalized with fractured ribs and bullet fragments lodged in his lungs.

The boss behind Rob Lowe's TV show "Parks and Recreation" is adamant the actor will not be released from his contract to replace Charlie Sheen in "Two and a Half Men". Sheen was sensationally fired from the hit sitcom on Monday, March 7, following a long-running war of words with TV executives and show creator Chuck Lorre.

He has since threatened to sue over his contract termination, while speculation has turned to whether the show will continue with another actor in the lead role. A legal threat from Lady GaGa and an investigation by heath inspectors has failed to halt the sale of an ice cream made from breast milk, the bizarre concoction has been deemed fit for human consumption.

The pop superstar's lawyers have taken aim at the owners of the Icecreamists store in London's Covent Garden over the product, named Baby GaGa. GaGa's attorneys called the ice cream "nausea-inducing" and alleged the name takes advantage of the singer's "reputation and good will". They also demanded company bosses change the title to prevent the star being associated with a product which "may be unsafe for human consumption".

Charlie Sheen has dropped a $100 million lawsuit against Warner Bros. and "Two and a Half Men" showrunner Chuck Lorre. The troubled actor filed the breach-of-contract suit in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, March 10, but Chuck was quick to fire back, saying through his attorney, "The accusations are simply imaginary."

A new trailer for "The Smurfs" has made its way out for viewing pleasure via Yahoo! Video. Unlike the previously released teaser trailer, the new one has more real footage from the film. It opens with a mysterious sighting of blue lights on Earth's sky which then leads to three Smurfs' arrival at a human couple's house. Neil Patrick Harris' character warns Jayma Mays' not to be fooled by the Smurfs' cuteness but she finds them friendly and soon gets along with one of the smurfs.

When Gargamel, who wants to use the Smurfs as charms, discovers the Smurfs' magical village and scatters them into the woods, Clumsy and several other Smurfs are accidentally transported to Central Park. As Gargamel pursues them, the blue characters cannot return home easily and must take refuge with a husband and a wife.

Fans of Steve Carell will say goodbye to Michael Scott on April 28. Producers of "The Office" previously said they would send off Michael before the season ends so that viewers will get used to a new Dunder Mifflin boss before the finale which airs four episodes after, on May 19 (the hour-long finale is counted as two episodes).

Carell shot his final scene on Friday, March 4. Co-star Rainn Wilson tweeted, "Steve Carell's last day on The Office. And the angels of comedy wept... #saddestdayever." A few days after news of Lady GaGa ending her exclusive partnership with Target emerged, a statement from executives in the giant retailer was released. "We were very surprised and disappointed by the statements made by Lady GaGa's organization related to her partnership with Target," they said.

Despite rumors that its lack of commitment to support gay community made GaGa unhappy, the retailer insisted to MTV, "Target remains committed to the LGBT community as demonstrated by our contributions to various LGBT organizations, our recently established Policy Committee to review our political giving and our respectful, inclusive workplace environment."

Police in the U.K. have dropped an investigation into British singer Cheryl Cole's ex-husband after he accidentally shot a soccer club intern with an air rifle. Sports star Ashley Cole, who plays for London soccer giant Chelsea F.C., wounded work experience staffer Tom Cowan at the team's training ground in Surrey, England in February.

Cowan received hospital treatment, and police launched an investigation into the incident. However, the 21 year old did not press charges and detectives have now confirmed it is "highly unlikely" they will take the matter any further.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have been hit with yet another break-up rumor. According to E! Online, a very good source insisted that the on-and-off couple have definitely parted ways. It is claimed that Justin was actually the one who called off their romance, leaving Jessica "devastated" over the decision.

Justin and Jessica recently put a united front at the Vanity Fair Oscars party. At the February event, the pair posed together for photographers, but it was reported that they barely had interaction with one another during the night. "They hardly interacted at all actually," an eyewitness told E!, "It was pretty weird, they seriously barley spoke to each other."

Kanye West was left red-faced during Paris Fashion Week when he was turned away from a number of high-profile shows after arriving uninvited. The rapper, an avid follower of fashion, jetted to the French capital in March, to enjoy the festivities at the annual style event, which ran from March 1-9.

But West faced embarrassment when he arrived at a number of runway shows without an invitation, only to be turned away at the door. A representative for KCD, a company which organized some of the events, has confirmed West was refused entry to last Thursday's, March 3, catwalk parade for fashion house Balmain.

Jason Priestley and Thomas Dekker have both landed roles on TV. The former, who has been staying behind the camera for several years, is to do a four-episode stint on Syfy's "Haven" while the latter, whose last show "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" got canceled, would take a regular role in The CW's new pilot "Secret Circle".

In "Haven", Priestley would play Chris Weekly, a brilliant, principled but anti-social marine biologist who must deal with an affliction most would consider a blessing. TV Line said his arc falls during the show's upcoming second season. In addition, he has also signed up to direct an episode of the supernatural drama.

Another sci-fi project from "District 9" director Neill Blomkamp is coming in the next two years. The Hollywood Reporter said that Sony Pictures has planned to release "Elysium" on March 8, 2013 for the U.S. distribution.

Additionally, the movie has just added Wagner Moura to the cast line-up. The Brazilian actor is set to play a "powerful villain" who is described as "having a crazy sense of humor," the site added, confirming the news first brought to the surface by Latino Review. He joins Matt Damon, Sharlto Copley and Jodie Foster who were cast earlier.

Michael Jackson's "Hollywood Tonight" music video has made its official debut. It follows a young woman stepping her feet in Hollywood in hope to become a professional dancer. "Her story represents the struggle for every artist or musician struggling to make it in the world," so Sony Music explains about the video.

The music video was filmed last month on the sidewalk of the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood and reportedly shot back to back with a video for another MJ posthumous song. Sofia Boutella plays the young aspiring dancer, and Wayne Isham serves as director of the video.
