Vin Diesel has provided his fans with some updates to "The Chronicles of Riddick: Dead Man Stalking" by posting a video on his Facebook page. In the video, he and director David Twohy answer people's questions about the upcoming project.

Responding to a question about which film the third will share more similarity with, Twohy says, "The movie itself is gonna be a lot like Pitch Black because of the money involved." He adds, "We're gonna be lean and we're going to go quick and it's going to be a cool movie, I can tell you that."

Charlie Sheen planned to poke fun at his hard-partying ways with former drug addict Russell Brand on "Saturday Night Live" - but his advisers stopped the skit over fears for his reputation. The troubled actor hit the headlines in October 2010 when cops were called to the Plaza Hotel in New York after he trashed his suite during a night of passion with adult actress Capri Anderson.

The "Two and a Half Men" star was desperate to spoof his infamous night in the Big Apple when Brand hosted SNL last month - but Sheen's worried representatives warned against the idea. Sheen tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "I had this plan to fly to New York and hijack Russell Brand for "Saturday Night Live". (The skit) would be him tearing up the hotel and then I come out of the wings and go, 'No, no, no. This is amateur. This isn't what happened. Bring in some more dead hookers.'I got shut down. They said it created the illusion I was not taking rehab seriously."

Walt Disney Pictures teases moviegoers about its upcoming release "Mars Needs Moms!" by debuting some new clips. A boy called Milo is sucked into a spaceship in the first clip and he is comforting underground earthman named Gribble who looks uneasy when a rebel Martian girl called Ki sees them in the other snippet.

In another promotional effort, Disney has held a Los Angeles premiere for the movie on Sunday, March 6 at the El Capital Theater. Voice cast including Seth Green, Joan Cusack, Dan Fogler, Mindy Sterling and Elisabeth Harnois were present to support the event, with such young stars as Bella Thorne, Sammi Hanratty and Daphne Blunt among the guests.

Singer Jason Derulo has been forced to postpone the recording of his new album after a doctor ordered him to rest his voice. The "Ridin' Solo" hitmaker has been in the studio working on the follow-up to his self-titled debut, but he's now taking a break to allow his sore throat to heal.

In a post on his Facebook.com page, Derulo explains, "So my throat doctor has put me on vocal rest for five days. Could you imagine not talking for five days? (It) sucks! Apparently if I don't let my chords heal, I may develop a serious problem. Such terrible timing, as I'm trying to complete my album!"

Kate Winslet has spoken for the first time about her split from Sam Mendes, calling her single status "empowering" and insisting she is not "lonely". The "Titanic" star announced the end of her relationship with the filmmaker, her second husband, last March 2010 after nearly seven years of wedlock.

Winslet, who was linked to male model Louis Dowler after the separation, has now broken her silence about the breakdown of her marriage to Mendes, revealing she is embracing life as a single mum-of-two. She tells Vogue magazine, "(It's an) empowering thing... Experiencing those moments of being alone... is a very, very weird flooring and exposing position to be in when you're just not used to it. Jailed music mogul Phil Spector has settled his legal dispute with attorney Robert Saphiro over a $1 million retainer fee, just days before a trial was due to begin. The famed producer was fighting to win back the staggering sum he paid criminal defense attorney Shapiro after his arrest in 2003.

The embattled star hired the high-powered lawyer, who previously represented O.J. Simpson, as his first legal counsel, but they later parted ways and Spector went on to be convicted of second-degree murder for the fatal shooting of actress Lana Clarkson. Spector claimed Shapiro took advantage of him and the producer has been battling for years to recover the payment.

Country music superstar Dolly Parton has launched a project to make free books available to children in foster care across Scotland. The singer/songwriter developed the initiative as part of her Dollywood Foundation in her hometown of Sevier County in Tennessee in 1995. After its success, she expanded the idea to neighboring communities, before it was rolled out across America.

Now Parton is working with the Scottish government and the Scottish Book Trust to launch the Imagination Library scheme, in which youngsters in care in Scotland will be given a free book every month until their fifth birthday.

David Cassidy became the first cast sent home on the new season of "The Celebrity Apprentice" because his biggest contribution was a $1,000 piece of pizza bought by his daughter Katie Cassidy. The first task from Donald Trump was to run a pizzeria and sell as many slices as possible for charity.

Richard Hatch of "Survivor" fame stepped up as the first Project Manager to the men's team which is named Backbone. Star Jones took the lead in the women team, called ASAP. Cassidy immediately got in Hatch's way when he fed Hatch with suggestions while the project leader gave out orders to the team. "David, be quiet for one second," Hatch snapped.

Elvis Presley has been made a citizen of Budapest in Hungary. The late King of Rock 'n' Roll has had posthumous residency rights conferred upon him by Hungarian officials in recognition of Presley's connection to the country's unsuccessful 1956 uprising.

Presley paid tribute to the struggles of the Hungarian people during a January 1957 appearance on "America's Ed Sullivan Show", and he dedicated the song "Peace in the Valley" to the revolutionaries who had lost their lives protesting their nation's Soviet rule just months before. Presley has been made a burgher of Budapest, and locals will vote on what city landmark will be renamed to honor the singer.

The Strokes have just revealed another new song from their upcoming album. Julian Casablancas and his bandmates showcased "Life Is Simple in the Moonlight" when coming to visit "Saturday Night Live" over the weekend.

Their Saturday night performance was introduced by Miley Cyrus who was tapped to host the sketch comedy show. They also performed "Under Cover of Darkness", the first single from the upcoming studio album "Angles".

British model Kate Moss' fiance Jamie Hince is keen to start a family with the beauty because he fears he's getting too old to have children. The Kills rocker, 42, who has been dating Moss since 2007, proposed to the catwalk star last month.

And Hince is already planning to have a baby with Moss, who is a mother to eight-year-old daughter, Lila, from her previous relationship with Jefferson Hack. He tells Britain's News of the World, "I definitely want kids. I'm forty f**king two, I'm getting on."

George Michael's promiscuous behavior might have cost him a lot. The British musician has been reportedly dumped by his longtime partner Kenny Goss due to his cannabis problems, which landed him eight weeks behind bars last year.

"The writing has been on the wall for some time. There are only so many second chances Kenny was prepared to give," a source tells The Sun. "He's been loyal to George from day one, but that hasn't always been reciprocated."

McFly star Tom Fletcher is planning to propose to his longtime girlfriend because he fears she will leave him if he doesn't ask for her hand in marriage. The 25-year-old British pop star has been dating Giovanna Falcone for seven years, and he's now considering settling down with her permanently.

Kanye West is reportedly planning to secure his place in the style world by applying to study at Britain's most prestigious fashion college. The "Stronger" hitmaker has previously designed for brands including Louis Vuitton and Nike and he cemented his love of fashion in 2009 by traveling to Italy to complete an internship at Fendi.

He is now said to be hoping to build on his design skills by applying for a place at the Central Saint Martins College in London to study a Masters degree in fashion. West met with course head Professor Louise Wilson, whose previous students have included late designer Alexander McQueen, on Wednesday, March 2 to discuss his application, according to Britain's The Sun.

Golden Globe-winning moviemaker Charles Jarrott has died in Los Angeles, aged 83. The British director was best known for his period dramas "Mary", "Queen of Scots" and "Anne of a Thousand Days", for which he won a Globe.

Reports suggest Jarrott died on Friday, March 4 after a lengthy battle with prostate cancer. He also directed acclaimed films like "The Doves" and "The Other Side of Midnigh"t. His final movie was 2002's "Turn of Faith".

Christina Aguilera is embroiled in a lawsuit over allegations bosses at her record label sampled a 1968 song in her track "Ain't No Other Man" without paying the rightful owner. The singer's hit single reportedly uses a beat from Dave 'Baby' Cortez and the Moon People's soul song "Hippy Skippy Moon Strut".

According to legal papers, filed in New York, TufAmerica bought the exclusive rights to the original song in 2004, but Aguilera's label bosses at Sony made a deal with Codigo Music and the Clyde Otis Music Group to use the record. Heads at TufAmerica are now asking a court to declare them the rightful owner of the song and are seeking damages, reports TMZ.com.

Filmmaker George Lucas has launched a legal battle against a British designer for allegedly breaching copyright by continuing to make and sell replica "Star Wars" helmets. Andrew Ainsworth made the original head gear for the movies and started selling the helmets to fans who wanted to wear them for fancy dress events in 2004.

Lucas sued Ainsworth for $20 million after he sold some items in America, but he lost a similar legal battle in the U.K. because a judge rejected the notion that the helmets were the equivalents of sculptures. Now Lucas is attempting to overturn the decision by taking the case to the Supreme Court. In a legal document obtained by Britain's The Independent on Sunday, Lucas writes, "The court was wrong in this case and has placed the U.K. at odds with the world community and, perhaps most disturbing, the creative community."

"The Walking Dead" opened the 2011 PaleyFest on March 4 in Beverly Hills' Saban Theater where creator Robert Kirkman uttered the most bizarre idea. Kirkman told THR that he wants Charlie Sheen to take part in the second season, proving once again that Sheen was right when he said that everybody wants to work with him now that "Two and a Half Men" is uncertain.

"Charlie call us, we will totally make that happen. We'll do whatever you want," Kirkman said to Sheen. The producer then continued, still sending a message to the troubled actor, "We'll recast YOU as Rick. Andrew Lincoln will find something else to do."

Moviemaker Michael Bay has accepted that a mystical part in his "Transformers" sequel was "crap", insisting the 2007/2008 writers strike turned the film into a rushed mess. Bay is back in the director's chair for the third film, "Transformers: Dark of the Moon", and he insists that's a must-see movie, whereas his last effort was not.

He tells Britain's Empire film magazine, "We made some mistakes. The real fault with ['Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen'] is that it ran into a mystical world. When I look back at it, that was crap. The writers' strike was coming hard and fast. It was just terrible to do a movie where you've got to have a story in three weeks. I was prepping a movie for months where I only had 14 pages of some idea of what the movie was. It's a BS way to make a movie."

Sean Penn has sparked fresh political controversy by heaping praise on Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez for supporting his Haiti relief charity JP Haitian Relief Organization. The movie star and activist met with Chavez in Caracas on Saturday, March 5 and later told reporters the politician's aid has helped his humanitarian work in earthquake-ravaged Haiti.

Penn has sparked protest in the past by meeting with and befriending Chavez, who is considered a diplomatic outcast in the U.S. The U.S. and Venezuela have been without ambassadors since December 2010, when Chavez formally rejected the White House's nominee for envoy in a diplomatic dispute. The U.S. government revoked the visa of Venezuelan Ambassador Bernardo Alvarez in response.

Representatives for late designer Alexander McQueen's fashion house have shot down reports they're creating princess-to-be Kate Middleton's wedding gown. The fashion world is abuzz with rumors regarding the future royal's dress, but her spokespeople are refusing to reveal the identity of the chosen designer - because they want it to remain a secret up to the big day next month.

But Alexander McQueen's stylists have ruled themselves out of the race, denying reports suggesting they've landed the honor. McQueen's creative director Sarah Burton was said to be the woman behind the gown, but the company's spokeswoman Myriam Coudoux says, "This is not true." Burton has also denied the Sunday Times story.

Hollywood star Matt Damon has taken aim at U.S. President Barack Obama for failing to fulfill his promises since he was voted into office. "The Bourne Identity" actor campaigned heavily for Obama to win the presidential race in 2008, but he admits he now feels let down by his failure to fix America's economy and unemployment levels.

He tells Britain's The Independent On Sunday, "I think he's rolled over to Wall Street completely. The economy has huge problems. We still have all these banks that are too big to fail. They're bigger and making more money than ever. Unemployment at 10 per cent? It's terrible... They had a chance that they don't have any more to stand up for things. They've probably squandered that at this point. They'll probably just make whatever deals they can to try and get elected again."

Father and son Mel and Mike were eliminated from "The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business" on Sunday, March 6 episode. Mel, although recovered from the extension of double legs, could not keep up with the rest of the team when the temperature in Japan dropped very low during the Detour challenge.

Mike and Mel actually were not the last one in the race, but the last task to find a frog in the mud proved to be too much for them that they sought warmth in a van. The cheerleaders Jaime and Cara were eventually able to take over and reached the pit stop before the father and son. "He knew he was going to lose the race by telling me to get out," Mel said and Mike added, "My dad will never give up. That's why sometimes you have to give up for him."

Singer George Michael has opened up about his recent jail stint, insisting he deserved to go behind bars for his "shameful" acts. The former "Wham!" singer was jailed for eight weeks in September 2010 for possessing cannabis and driving under the influence of drugs.

Michael was previously banned from driving for two years following his 2007 conviction for driving while unfit and a year later he received an official police caution for possession of cannabis. And now he has spoken about his time in prison, admitting he believes it's karma for repeatedly landing in trouble.

McFly star Dougie Poynter has checked into a rehabilitation center as he struggles to move on following his split from Frankie Sandford. The singer's on/off relationship with The Saturdays star came to an end in November 2010, marking their second split in less than a year.

And now Poynter has reportedly entered Britain's The Priory clinic for a month to overcome his personal issues. McFly bandmate Tom Fletcher has confirmed his pal is in rehab, writing on his Twitter.com page, "Obviously you're all reading rumors about Dougie. Please don't worry. We don't know what the tabloids will say tomorrow but he is in rehab. Lady GaGa has threatened to sue the owners of an ice cream parlor in London for producing a flavor made from human breast milk, titled Baby GaGa. Attorneys representing the singer have sent a legal letter to bosses at Icecreamists in the U.K. capital's Covent Garden warning them to change the name of the bizarre concoction.

In the document, GaGa's lawyers accuse store owner Matt O'Connor of riding on the pop star's "coattails" to promote a product which is "deliberately provocative and, to many people, nausea-inducing." The letter adds, "The references you are making to Lady GaGa are thus clearly deliberate and intended to take advantage of her reputation and good will... Associating the Lady GaGa mark with a food product which may be unsafe for human consumption (owing to the risk of it carrying such viruses as hepatitis) is also highly detrimental."

Noah Baumbach is reportedly losing two of the cast members for his upcoming film "While We're Young". Just Jared learns that James Franco and Cate Blanchett have dropped out of the project which was set to begin shooting in mid-June.

Franco is said exiting the drama because he has a schedule conflict with "Oz, the Great and Powerful" in which he plays the titular character. As for Blanchett, reason of her departure is not specified by the site but it is possibly that there is overlap with the production for "The Hobbit" where she will reprise her "Lord of the Rings" role.

Kanye West and rap mogul Marion Suge Knight have reached an out-of-court settlement over a longrunning legal battle stemming from a 2005 shooting at a Florida party. Death Row Records founder Knight demanded more than $1 million in damages and took West to court after the incident, in which he was shot in the leg, claiming he would not have been injured if the "Stronger" hitmaker had hired better security for the bash.

The case was thrown out of court in November after a Miami judge ruled there was insufficient evidence to prove the shooting could have been prevented. But Knight filed new papers in December appealing the decision. Now Knight has dropped the case and the pair has reached a confidential agreement, reports AllHipHop.com.

Dahl's spokesperson has now announced the model gave birth to a baby girl on Wednesday, March 2. The representative says, "Their daughter Lyra was born on March 2. The couple will not be releasing any further information at this time."

Ryan Reynolds has reassured fans his role as the Green Lantern won't interfere with a movie about his "X-Men" anti-hero "Deadpool", insisting the mutant spin-off is "still in the works". Reynolds is set to take over the big screen as the Green Lantern this summer, and devotees have expressed fears that plans for a "Deadpool" film will be shelved.

But the hunky actor is confident he will eventually be able to reprise his role as Deadpool, the sword-wielding mercenary he played in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine". He tells Britain's Empire magazine, "That's still in the works. I'm not sure how logistically it works in terms of scheduling, but yeah, I want it to happen."

Actress Samantha Morton has been left devastated after learning the step-father she has been attempting to track down died four years ago. The Oscar-nominee published a heart-felt letter in British magazine Port this week appealing for help contacting her step-father, referred to only as "Frank", but believed to be her mother's second husband, Frank Braidwood.

Morton, who spent much of her youth in and out of foster care, reveals her mum, Pamela, told her Frank had died, and when she found out that was untrue, she became determined to find him and hired a private detective to help.

Film director Guy Ritchie is to be a dad again - his girlfriend Jacqui Ainsley is pregnant, according to a U.K. report. The "Sherlock Holmes" moviemaker, who split from Madonna in 2008, started dating Ainsley early last year.

Ritchie, who is already father to Madonna's 10-year-old son Rocco and adopted son David, six, will welcome a new baby in September, reports Britain's News of the World. A source tells the publication, "They have been keen to start a family for a while now. They're absolutely made up. We expect to hear wedding bells next year... Jacqui was crying with joy when she found out she's pregnant."

Usher has become the latest celebrity to hand money to charity after accepting a hefty fee to appear at a concert connected to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. A number of stars, including Beyonce Knowles, Mariah Carey and Nelly Furtado, have admitted being paid to sing for the dictator's relatives.

Following the uprising in the country and controversy over Gaddafi's refusal to stand down as leader, all three singers have promised to hand their fee to good causes. Usher has now confirmed he was paid to appear at a 2009 New Year's Eve party hosted by the dictator's son, Muatassim Gaddafi, on the Caribbean island of St. Barts, and he has vowed to give the cash to charity in light of recent events.

Few days after the full trailer for "Water for Elephants" was debuted on Amazon.com, an international trailer for the movie has made its way out online as well. It opens with the same part where Robert Pattinson's Jacob Jankowski loses his parents but this time is added with a commentary by the lead character.

It also has a fresh scene where Jacob is seen hugging his parents. The video additionally offers a brief preview to Jacob and Reese Witherspoon's Marlena's steamy make out scene on bed.

Almost everybody involved in the fourth season of "True Blood" turned up at PaleyFest on Saturday, March 5 to support the HBO series. Held in Beverly Hills' Saban Theater, the press event was kicked off with a red carpet event for the 16 cast as well as creator Alan Ball.

Beside those health problems, Phil called it quits also due to the criticisms he's received over the years.

The artist has got seven Grammy awards during his career, scored multiple hit singles, received an Oscar for a "Tarzan" soundtrack, and sold more than 150 million copies of albums as a solo artist. But critics still targeted him as a not-good-enough musician. Noel Gallagher once dissed him, "You don't have to be great to be successful. Look at Phil Collins."

Ryan Reynolds has reportedly found love with a stunning German model just three months after filing for divorce from actress Scarlett Johansson. "The Proposal" star has been photographed hugging Agnes Fischer as she looks lovingly into his eyes on the set of his new film in South Africa.

Reynolds' representatives are refusing to confirm reports the pair is dating, offering a no comment instead. Fischer, 24, has been a frequent visitor to the set and reportedly has a small part in the film, which also stars Denzel Washington.

Vanessa Hudgens has explained the personal reasons behind her first tattoo and revealed she feels like a "bada**" for going under the needle. The former "High School Musical 4: East Meets West" star headed to a tattoo parlor in New York last month and left with a large butterfly inked on the back of her neck.

The actress has now opened up about her first piece of body art during an appearance on "Late Show with David Letterman", insisting the butterfly comes from a story her mother told her. She says, "A butterfly landed on my mom's stomach a week before I was born and that's how I got my name, because Vanessa means butterfly - it's a Latin derivative."

Charlie Sheen has once again made use of internet to regain his popularity. After signing up on Twitter in early this month, the actor debuted his new webcast called "Sheen's-Korner" on Saturday night, March 5 where he unveiled his new "winning" tattoo inked on his left wrist during the opening.

According to a tattoo artist in Los Angeles, Mike Franks, customers started asking to get a tattoo looking just like Sheen's ink later that night. "We didn't know about the new tat from Charlie Sheen, but my customers started coming in and we knew something was up. Several of them had still shots from the Internet and wanted an identical tattoo," he says.

Actor David Birney has broken his silence to vehemently deny ex-wife Meredith Baxter's allegations he was violent towards her during their 15-year marriage. Baxter shocked fans this week by lifting the lid on her relationship with her "Bridget Loves Birney" co-star in her new memoir, "Untied".

She alleges the marriage was blighted by domestic violence and accuses Birney of being abusive. Birney has now spoken out for the first time about his former partner's allegations, calling her claims "mean spirited" and "absurd" and insisting Baxter concocted tales of marital woes to aid her in the custody battle over the former couple's three children.

Britney Spears' new song "(Drop Dead) Beautiful" which features Sabi has been previewed. The short audio stream is the latest sneak peek to her upcoming album "Femme Fatale" which is coming out in the U.S. on March 29.

David Arquette refused to take any pain medication following his car crash in Los Angeles over fears the pills would hamper his battle to stay sober. The actor was left bruised and bleeding after he swerved his Cadillac into oncoming traffic in West Hollywood and collided with another vehicle on Friday, March 4. He was taken to hospital to receive treatment for his injuries, but took to his Twitter.com page to assure fans he wasn't seriously hurt.

The "Scream 4" star, who spent much of January in rehab in a bid to kick his alcohol addiction, has now admitted he wouldn't let doctors prescribe him any pain pills as he doesn't want anything to interfere with his quest to quit drinking. He has also told fans he was on the way to the airport at the time of the crash to fly to Las Vegas to attend a restaurant opening - but has now canceled the trip.

"Rango" has soared to the first place at North American Box Office, making the second time in a row where an animated film tops the chart. Last weekend which was coincident with Oscar gala, "Gnomeo and Juliet" came out as the winner after released three weeks before.

"Rango", which boasts Johnny Depp, Isla Fisher, Abigail Breslin and Bill Nighy as the voice cast, rakes in an estimated $38 million which meets Paramount's expectation. "We wanted to get out in front of other animated movies - 'Mars Needs Moms!', 'Hop', 'Rio'- and it worked," says the studio's vice chair Rob Moore. " 'Rango' is ambitious creatively, and that's the thing we expect to keep the movie going, and playing through March."

Miley Cyrus did "pretty cool" as the host of "Saturday Night Live" on March 5. First in her opening monologue, she told the audience that "Hannah Montana" is the Disney Channel version of "Black Swan". And then she broke to a song "I'm Sorry I'm Not Perfect" where she crooned, "There's a photo of me dressed like a dude, and Annie Leibovitz tried to get me nude."

She continued addressing other controversies around her life, singing "[I] didn't make a dirty tape, and pass it along. Didn't text a dirty picture of [my] dong.
