Hot on the heels of their announcement as "Saturday Night Live" guests, Cee-Lo and Gwyneth Paltrow are confirmed to have recorded a new version of his viral hit single "F**k You". The Gnarls Barkley star praised her, "She sings like a natural."

According to Entertainment Weekly, Cee-Lo and the "Country Strong" movie beauty laid the revamped version over the weekend in a studio in New York. The track might be debuted during their visit to "SNL" although there is no official word about that just yet.

Gemma Arterton is going to bring to life one of famous children fairytales. The 24-year-old actress has been cast as Gretel in "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters". Diane Kruger, Eva Green and Noomi Rapace were named as possible depicter of the main female character, but Arterton eventually wins the part.

Arterton is likely to star opposite Jeremy Renner who has been reported to portray her Gretel's brother, Hansel. Marsha Ambrosius devotes newly-premiered music video for her new single "Far Away" to raise awareness against bullying. Inspired by her real-life experience, the clip revolves around a gay who is shoved aside by people in his neighborhood due to his sexual orientation.

Sir Paul McCartney has won the support of the world's leading Hindu organization as he attempts to turn India vegetarian for a day. In a letter to the nation's Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the former Beatle, a devout non-meat eater, urged him to declare a day for vegetarianism in a bid to save animals.

And Hindus are backing McCartney. Statesman Rajan Zed, who represents the Universal Society of Hinduism, tells WENN, "We, as Hindus, promote strict vegetarianism insisting on not harming living creatures and renouncing animal slaughter and meat eating."

"Glee" star Lea Michele is the latest star to rally against the use of horse-drawn carriages in New York, calling for fans to boycott the city's Central Park tradition. The actress is fronting a new advertisement for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), highlighting the alleged neglect and harsh conditions in which the animals are kept.

In the commercial, Michele says, "Imagine for a moment that you're forced to do hard physical labor all day, seven days a week, whether it's sweltering hot or freezing cold outside. At the end of the day, instead of relaxing on an easy chair or sleeping in a comfortable bed, you're locked in a tiny closet all night long. That's what it's like for horses who are forced to pull carriages in New York City."

American talk show host Montel Williams has been cited for possessing drug paraphernalia after a pipe was discovered in his luggage at an airport in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A mystery cream Michael Jackson was using at the time of his death in June 2009 has become a big issue as a preliminary hearing into the King of Pop's passing gets underway in Los Angeles. The singer's personal assistant Michael Amir Williams took the stand in court on Tuesday, January 4 and recalled what went down between himself and Dr. Conrad Murray after Jackson went into cardiac arrest after an overdose of anaesthetic Propofol and died.

Williams told the court Murray called him to the pop star's mansion telling him Jackson had had "a bad reaction". He then accompanied Murray to the hospital, where Jackson was pronounced dead. Williams recalled telling the King of Pop's children that their father had died, but it was a strange request from the physician that caught the court's attention on Tuesday.

Julia Stiles is slated to hit the Broadway stage for the transfer of West End hit "Fat Pig". The actress has reportedly booked a spring run at the Belasco Theater in New York, according to Daily Variety. Funnyman Dane Cook and Josh Hamilton will also appear in the Neil LaBute play.

Stiles last appeared on Broadway last year in David Mamet's Oleanna. She then occupied herself with a TV appearance, starring a recurring role in "Dexter". She completed her stint in the Showtime drama late last year but is possible to return.

Call it a comedy with heart, "How I Met Your Mother" shocked its audience on Monday, January 3 night with its sad ending. Executive producer Carter Bays has just admitted that the decision to kill Marshall's dad is "kind of built the whole season around".

The episode, called "Bad News", is centered on Marshall and Lily trying to have a baby. Initially believing they had fertility problems, they found out the otherwise. Marshall celebrated it by going to MacLaren's with his pals but he realized that his parents were waiting for the good news. As he phoned home, nobody picked up. Lily exited a cab and told him the bad news.

Heavyweight rapper Rick Ross is entering the world of fashion - he's been unveiled as the new face of P. Diddy's label, Sean John. The pair has been working closely in recent months after Combs signed on as Ross' manager and now the hip-hop mogul has brought the "Monster" star onboard to promote his designer wear.

Ross tells Examiner.com, "You know, Puff (Combs) is a good friend first, a mentor and business partner. The partnership was something that came natural (sic)." And Ross admits the clothing deal is just the start of big things for him in the fashion world.

Rockers Jane's Addiction have recruited TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek to replace Duff McKagan following his exit from the band last year. McKagan quit as the group's bassist in September 2010 after just five months and three low-key gigs and now Sitek will take over as the band's third bass player in a year.

He will join Perry Farrell, guitarist Dave Navarro, and drummer Stephen Perkins in the studio for their fourth album. In a statement, Farrell says, "Dave, Steve and I are fully immersed in the process of making modern music. It has been a great experience thus far, and the results have so much potential."

Movie icon Robert Duvall will celebrate his 80th birthday in style on Wednesday, January 5 by stamping his mark on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" hitmaker, real name DeAndre Way, took to the microblogging site on Sunday, January 2 and took credit for the track, which has catapulted Hollywood star Will Smith's 10-year-old daughter into the pop charts.

Rapper Gucci Mane has been admitted to a mental health facility to determine whether he is fit to face prosecution for a parole violation. The troubled star, real name Radric Davis, was already on probation for previously breaching the terms of his parole, stemming from a 2005 assault conviction, when his car was pulled over by police in his native Atlanta, Georgia in November 2010.

He was booked on obstruction and traffic charges after he was allegedly spotted driving recklessly, but prosecutors spared him more legal hassle and dropped the case against him. However, Mane is still being punished for his run-in with the law - on Monday, January 3, a Fulton County Superior Court judge recommended the rapper serve a year in prison for failing to adhere to the rules of his probation as a result of the traffic arrest, reports AllHipHop.com.

Hip-hop diva Lauryn Hill showed no remorse after keeping devotees waiting for almost four hours at a recent comeback concert in New York, telling disgruntled fans she was "worth the wait". The reclusive singer was due to return to the stage to kick off her first U.S. tour in years on 27 December 2010, but the show at Manhattan's Highline Ballroom had to be postponed after a heavy snow storm brought transport in the Big Apple to a standstill.

She went ahead with her second scheduled gig, at Brooklyn's Music Hall of Williamsburg, on 28 December, and drew a crowd including soul superstar Prince and rising singer Janelle Monae. But Hill's tardiness left concertgoers fuming after she failed to appear for the show start time of 8.30 P.M. - instead emerging on stage after midnight.

Fans of "Smallville" are yet to see Clark Kent becoming the man he is supposed to be but the new teaser poster allows them to picture him in the red and blue costume. The image, tagged with "Destiny Is Now", shows Clark in street clothes but the reflection on his feet reveals his future.

Back on last year's San Diego Comic Con, Tom Welling told The Flickcast that Clark is indeed stepping up as Superman. "Yeah, that's the plan. Michael Jackson's father fears the King of Pop's doctor will be acquitted of manslaughter as the medic's preliminary hearing begins in Los Angeles. Joe Jackson is appalled by suggestions his son took his own life and administered the anesthetic that killed him in June 2009, but he worries that the claim by Dr. Conrad Murray's lawyers will be enough to plant doubt in the minds of the court officials.

The Jackson family patriarch tells X17.com his son had too much to live for to take his own life, "He had too much responsibility. He's a Jackson, he doesn't think like that." And Jackson insists there's more to the tragedy than a simple case of a doctor making a mistake, "One month before he died he told (his mother) Katherine they were going to kill him for his publishing catalog. He said they were going to kill him. Why would he kill himself?"

Jane Fonda treasures her close bond with her grandchildren - because they've given the veteran actress-turned-activist a "second chance" to repair her relationships with her kids. The star had daughter Vanessa with her first husband Roger Vadim in 1968, and a son, Troy, with activist Tom Hayden five years later.

But Fonda admits she was an absent mum for most of their young lives - because she was too focused on her anti-Vietnam War efforts. She says, "I don't think I taught them much. I don't think I was that good of a mother. But I did always tell them the truth and I hope they can always learn from my mistakes."

Screen icon Brigitte Bardot has joined forces with fellow animal rights activists and launched a new campaign to bring an end to the religious slaughter of animals in France. The French film legend, 76, has become a champion of animal issues over the last few years, and spent 2010 bidding to end bullfighting in Spain, curb seal hunting in Canada and halt the killing of pilot whales in Denmark.

She has now turned her attention to the traditional ritual slaughter of animals in the Jewish and Islamic faiths - and has aligned The Brigitte Bardot Foundation with six other similar campaign groups in France to kickstart 2011 with a nationwide poster campaign featuring a gruesome image of a cow's head.

Starz's new take on "Camelot" gives a first look through a behind-the-scene featurette. Like many actors of a new series, the stars such as Joseph Fiennes, Eva Green and Jamie Campbell Bower tell audience how this drama series is different from the rest.

Fiennes, at an attempt to make a joke, said, "I think people should watch this because ...it's not a musical". He could be taking a jab at "Glee" but there is indeed a musical version of the legend which was played on Broadway in the '60s. It won four Tony awards and spawned a musical film adaptation in 1967.

Rick Ross called The Breakfast Club show on Power 105.1 radio station on Tuesday morning, January 4 to debut his new single "Made Men" and talk a bit about the album that will follow. The song has Ross joining forces with Drake, and together they rap about Katy Perry, Wiz Khalifa and other fellow artists.

Ross goes with, "Two-door Bugatti coupe, I call it Katy Perry/ Wiz Khalifa papers, my favorite berries/ That '65, I call it Rihanna/ It got a red top but it's white like Madonna." Justin Bieber's goal in life is to reach the same level of fame as his idol Michael Jackson. The teenage pop star cites the "Thriller" hitmaker as his greatest influence, and admits he strives to emulate Jackson's success as an entertainer.

And Bieber hopes his music will eventually reach a wider audience so he can be appreciated by fans of all ages. He tells Vanity Fair magazine, "Music is music, and I'm definitely influenced by Michael Jackson."

Taylor Swift is undoubtedly one of today's biggest stars but she is still unlucky in love. Recently getting a lot of attention for her romance with Jake Gyllenhaal, the singer is single again in early 2011 as sources say she and the actor called it quits just before New Year's Eve.

While representatives for both stars refuse to comment on the report, a source reveals that it was Jake who first thought that they could not be together anymore. "Jake reached out to her and started all of this, but now he's not acting as interested," the source tells Us Weekly.

Taylor Lautner is busy studying the films of Tom Cruise in a bid to emulate the movie star's career, following advice from director John Singleton. The "Twilight" star is set to step away from his role as a werewolf in the popular vampire franchise to lead the cast in new action movie "Abduction".

"Boyz N the Hood" director Singleton is taking charge of the upcoming movie, and he has been advising Lautner how to carve out a career like his idol Cruise. Singleton tells the Los Angeles Times, "I told him to watch the transition from 'Top Gun' to 'Rain Man' to 'Born on the Fourth of July'. To think about what he (Cruise) did as a young man and what he did later on. And then think about what you want to do."

Pink Floyd have put their legal dispute with EMI bosses firmly behind them - they've signed a new contract with the label. The "Comfortably Numb" hitmakers have inked a five-year deal with executives at the firm, who first signed the band in the 1960s. A statement from EMI reads: "All legal disputes between the band and the company have been settled as a result of this new deal."

The agreement comes one month after a judge ruled EMI bosses breached a previous deal by selling single Pink Floyd tracks online. The band had argued that their "seamless" albums should not be split up to be sold on the internet, while EMI claimed the previous contract had been drawn up before the digital era and didn't outline regulations for online distribution.

Keira Knightley is welcome to a cameo role in "Glee" whenever she wants - the TV show's leading man Matthew Morrison has named the British actress as his dream guest star. The phenomenally successful musical series has attracted a slew of superstar guests, including Gwyneth Paltrow and Britney Spears.

And Morrison, who plays Glee club leader Will Schuester, is hoping British actress Knightley will be the next famous face to sign up, so he can fulfill his fantasy of kissing her onscreen. He tells Britain's Glamour magazine, "Oh God, I'm such a sucker for women with British accents. So many (potential guest stars) to choose from. Actually I'll go with a Brit because I really like this girl - Keira Knightley. She should guest star in Glee. (She should play) the part of the girl who gets kissed by Will Schuester."

"Across the Universe" star T.V. Carpio is set to replace injured actress Natalie Mendoza in the beleaguered "Spider-Man" musical. Mendoza quit her role as villainess Arachne in "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" last week, a month after she was injured in an onstage accident which saw her hit on the head with a weighted rope.

The actress subsequently suffered nausea and headaches and took time off before quitting the troubled Broadway show altogether. Director Julie Taymor has now announced Carpio as her official replacement and the actress will take Mendoza 's place in the show on Tuesday, January 4 night.

Lindsay Lohan is facing the prospect of another stint in jail after cops in California concluded she "violated several aspects of her probation" during an alleged altercation with an employee at a rehab center. The troubled actress was reportedly released from rehab on Monday, January 3 after completing three months of court-ordered treatment for violating her probation relating to a 2007 DUI conviction.

Lohan's rehab stint was mired in controversy last month after an employee at the Betty Ford Center claimed to have been hurt in a clash with the actress. Dawn Holland, who was later dismissed for talking to the press, alleged Lohan had been drinking and lashed out when she was caught sneaking back in to the clinic after her curfew.

The Producers Guild of America and Writers Guild of America have announced the nominees for their own 2011 awards. It comes out as no surprise anymore that such movies as "Inception" and "Black Swan", which have received a lot of praises during 2010, land nods at both prize-giving events.

The two films along with "The Fighter" and "The Kids Are All Right" are mentioned at The Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures category. All of them will also compete for Best Original Screenplay at Writers Guild Awards.

Dresden Dolls star Amanda Palmer has married comic book author Neil Gaiman. The singer exchanged vows with the British writer on Sunday, January 2, a year after the couple announced its engagement last January 2010.

Sandra Bullock's publicist insists the actress' New Year's Eve 'date' with Ryan Reynolds was purely platonic - the stars spent the evening among "a group of old friends". "The Proposal" co-stars, who both split from their partners last year, rang in 2011 together with a number of pals at Bullock's Bess Bistro restaurant in Texas.

Reynolds was linked to Bullock shortly after his split from his wife Scarlett Johansson last month, and internet gossips speculated the New Year's Eve celebrations signalled a blossoming romance. U.S. TV actor Bill Erwin has died at the age of 96. Erwin passed away at his Los Angeles home on December 29, 2010, reportedly dying of natural causes. Best known for his role as angry old man Sid Fields in an episode of "Seinfeld", for which he was nominated for an Emmy Award, Erwin was a familiar face on U.S. TV, working continuously on the small screen over five decades.

He was a regular in "Star Trek: The Next Generation", playing Dr. Dalen Quaice, and throughout his career he appeared in a number of successful shows, including "Mister Ed", "Married with Children", "Growing Pains", "The Golden Girls", "Moonlighting" and most recently, "My Name Is Earl".

Actress Vivica A. Fox had a Christmas to remember - the actress became engaged to her toyboy boyfriend over the holidays. The "Kill Bill" star has been dating 27-year-old Omar 'Slim' White for more than a year, and was delighted to accept his proposal the day after Christmas, December 26 2010.

The club promoter surprised 46-year-old Fox with a diamond ring while they were staying at the luxury Ritz-Carlton hotel in Miami, Florida, according to the New York Post gossip column Page Six. Fox, who has been married once before, has been hoping to settle down with White - just last month, she admitted the couple was planning to try for a baby in 2011.

Japan star Mick Karn has lost his battle with cancer at his home in London. The bass player was 52. Karn, real name Andonis Michaelides, announced he had been diagnosed with the disease at the beginning of June 2010, telling fans on his website that the security and well-being of his wife and young son are now his top priority.

A statement posted on his website on Tuesday, January 4 confirmed Karn "was surrounded by his family and friends" at the time of his death. Born in Cyprus, Karn was a big part of the U.K.'s new wave movement in the early 1980s. As well as becoming a member of "Quiet Life" hitmakers Japan, he also worked with Gary Numan and Kate Bush and founded Dalis Car in the mid-1980s with Bauhaus frontman Peter Murphy.

Gerry Rafferty, the man behind hits like "Stuck in the Middle with You" and "Baker Street", has died, aged 63. The Scottish musician passed away from liver failure on Tuesday, January 4 after a long battle with alcoholism. Rafferty fell ill in November 2010 and was hooked up to a life-support machine after he was admitted to hospital.

His family members were told he had little chance of survival, but his health improved slightly over Christmas, and Rafferty died at his home with his daughter, Martha, by his bedside. The singer began his career as a busker, before forming folk group the Humblebums with comedian Billy Connolly. He rose to fame in the 1970s with Stealers Wheel and enjoyed solo success when the group disbanded in 1975.

"Saturday Night Live" has announced an inevitable pair that will each host and perform in its January 15 episode. Gwyneth Paltrow is taking her third turn as a host of the variety show in a bid to promote her new movie "Country Strong" which opens wide in U.S. January 7. Cee-Lo, whose song Paltrow has covered for "Glee", is the musical guest.

Unlike Paltrow, this would be the Gnarls Barkley member's first time on "SNL". His third solo album "The Lady Killer" was released in November and the hit single "F**k You" has received four Grammy nominations including "Record of the Year" and "Song of the Year". Paltrow sang the tamer, radio version, retitled "Forget You" when she guest starred in a Fall episode of "Glee".

Paramore are ready to move on after splitting from Zac Farro and Josh Farro. They have started making demo for their next studio album and preparing for their South American tour. But they want to start this New Year and do those things in the right way by first clearing up dirty laundry aired by the Farro brothers.

In an interview with MTV, Hayley Williams admitted the whole thing upset her. Glenn Close is offended when finding out that her image is misused in a raunchy video made by Navy Captain Owen Honors who was eventually relieved of his service on aircraft carrier USS Enterprise on Tuesday, January 4. She released a statement to clarify that it used to be a "seemingly innocent request".

The video made by Honors was shot aboard the carrier in 2006 and 2007 while he was second in command. It contains several attempts at humor but it includes as well homophobic remarks, simulated masturbation and partial nudity. Close appears at the very end of the video with a stuffed parrot after a shot of condoms and lube.

New set pictures of untitled Spider-Man reboot have emerged as the movie is currently in production, giving the first look at Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker. Unlike his co-star Emma Stone who dyes her hair blonde to portray Gwen Stacy, the lead actor does not undergo significant physical transformation. He is only seen sporting a messy hair style.

During the filming at a Los Angeles High School on Tuesday, January 4, he was joined by Stone. Donning winter outfits, the two sat on the bleachers of a football stadium while shooting scenes for the movie. They were additionally seen filming a kissing scene.
