Katy Perry's marriage to British funnyman Russell Brand is already paying great dividends - she can now dual for dual citizenship and avoid the long queues in immigration at London airports. The "I Kissed a Girl" hitmaker wed Brand in India in October, and insists easy entry to the U.K. was not a factor in her decision to get married - but it helps.

She hopes the citizenship will make her frequent transAtlantic trips less stressful when she touches down in London. Perry tells Britain's Cosmopolitan magazine, "A gay couple I know are going to get married for British citizenship and I'm like, 'Oh!' "

Aerosmith star Brad Whitford insists Steven Tyler's judging role on "American Idol" won't spell the end for the band - the rockers are planning to release a new album in 2011. The guitarist has revealed he and his bandmates are planning to record new material next year for their first new album in more than six years.

He tells Billboard, "That's what the band has been talking about. Obviously we'll have to work a little bit around Steven's television schedule, but he's ready to do it and he's pretty confident he can do this record, so hopefully we can get some of that new music out next year."

Troubled star Demi Lovato's uncle has attacked his niece's handlers for not giving the teenager enough time off and working her too hard. The singer pulled out of the remaining dates of the Jonas Brothers' world tour last weekend, October 31 and checked into rehab to tackle "emotional and physical issues".

Reports have surfaced that Lovato fought with one of her backing dancers before quitting the tour, but her uncle Francisco Lovato insists the rehab spell has more to do with the fact his niece is exhausted. He tells website TooFab, "I saw Demi in August, I went to one of her concerts with The Jonas Brothers outside of Sacramento, and she totally rocked it out, and did a great show, there was great energy."

Singer LeAnn Rimes has dismissed reports she's planning a wedding with boyfriend Eddie Cibrian, insisting the pair is not engaged. The country star took to her Twitter account on Friday, November 5 to deny news reports suggesting Cibrian had proposed to her.

Clearly annoyed by the rumors, she wrote, "I've about had it. Even though this is positive 'news' it's not true." She adds, "Eddie and I are beyond happy and in love and look forward to one day sharing such private news with you all and hopefully we will be able to enjoy it privately and share it with our family and friend's before the world knows (contrary to reports on our intentions)."

Rapper Lil Wayne has been sentenced to serve 360 hours of community service in his adopted Miami, Florida as punishment for a drug possession charge from 2008. The hitmaker flew to Yuma, Arizona on Friday, November 5 for sentencing, just a day after his release from New York's Rikers Island prison, where he served eight months for illegal weapons possession.

The hearing stems from an arrest in the town two years ago when border patrol officers pulled over his tourbus and reportedly found cocaine, ecstasy and a handgun on board. Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to one count of felony possession of a dangerous drug; the other drug charges and the gun charge were all thrown out.

"Mary Poppins" star Dick Van Dyke has a school of dolphins to thank for saving his life after he fell asleep on a surfboard and drifted out to sea. The movie veteran was a keen long-boarder in his youth, but one exhausting day at the beach made him think twice about his water hobby.

The "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang star" recalls, "I woke up out of sight of land... and I started paddling with the swells and I started seeing fins swimming around me and I thought, 'I'm dead!' They turned out to be porpoises (and) they pushed me all the way to shore. I'm not kidding."

"The King's Speech" and "The Social Network" have emerged as clear Oscars favorites for movie of the year in the first serious odds chart of the upcoming awards season. Experts at top awards show website GoldDerby have ranked their top picks and have suggested "The Social Network" and "The King's Speech" will fight it out for the Best Picture honor in February 2011.

The GoldDerby editors have Colin Firth's "The King's Speech" as the film of the year, just ahead of "The Social Network" and James Franco's gripping new survival movie "127 Hours". They have Firth as the favorite to win Oscar gold as Best Actor, ahead of James Franco ("127 Hours") and 2010 winner Jeff Bridges ("True Grit"), while Natalie Portman is favored as the Best Actress ahead of Annette Bening ("The Kids Are Alright") for her portrayal of a ballet dancer in "Black Swan".

Actor Tom Sizemore is reaching out in a bid to help troubled star Charlie Sheen seek help. "Black Hawk Down" star Sizemore fears his old pal will die if he doesn't get the counseling he needs, and he's hoping that the actor will see sense as he tries to help him get his life in order.

Sizemore tells CNN, "I don't want to be a doomsayer, but if he doesn't get any help it's just going to get worse. He could have a crippling heart attack and not die and be a vegetable. He could die... There's been a series of events here that are very, very worrisome."

Olivia Wilde confirms that Thirteen is coming back to "House M.D." and fans would not have to wait too long. She confirmed to EW that a storyline to bring Thirteen back to Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital is in the works and would be materialized later this season.

"I am coming back to House. This season, as a matter of fact. It is a done deal," Wilde told EW while attending the 19th Annual BAFTA LA Britannia Awards in Los Angeles. "I have been really lucky this year to be offered all these great film opportunities and I was also blessed to have a job in TV that really worked with me to get me to a place where I could do those films and not miss those opportunities like 'Tron'."

Sony Music Group is facing protest from Michael Jackson's family regarding the release of his new album which is simply titled "Michael". Brian Oxman, an attorney for Joe Jackson, said in a statement, "If Michael had wanted this music released he would have done so before his death."

"The songs which are being released on the new Michael Jackson album were unfinished and incomplete tracks that Michael said over and over many times he never wanted released," Oxman stated further. "We should honor Michael Jackson's wishes."

Untitled Star Trek sequel is yet to enter production but a picture from the film has been found. Obtained by Collider, the said promo image, dominated in blue tone, features Starship Enterprise and a tagline referring to the movie release schedule, which is in summer 2012.

The "Star Trek" sequel is expected to kick off principal photography sometime next year for a scheduled June 29, 2012 release date in the U.S. J.J. Abrams is likely to return to the directing position though he has not confirmed it yet.

Manga character Shotaro Kaneda could be depicted by Zac Efron in the big screen version. According to Slash Film, the 23-year-old actor has been offered a lead role in "Akira", a live-action adaptation of the popular anime by Katsuhiro Otomo. While one source tells the site Efron is in talks, another says it is "far from a done deal".

The action-sci-fi movie project has been set up at Warner Bros. Pictures through Leonardo DiCaprio's production company Appian Way. Albert Hughes is set to direct the film while new screenwriter Albert Torres has been hired to write the script. It was previously said the draft was due in September.

Chrisette Michele's "I'm a Star" music video has been debuted for viewing pleasure. It features the R&B/soul singer wearing various designer clothes and coming to red carpet events. Despite having all the connections to date another big star, she gives her heart to her driver instead.

Michael Jackson's mother has revealed she challenged her superstar son about reports he was hooked on powerful drugs - but he insisted he was clean. In a candid TV interview with Oprah Winfrey for "The Oprah Winfrey Show", which will air in America on Monday, November 8, Katherine Jackson opens up about her own fears for her son, who died following a drug overdose last year in June.

She says, "I spoke to him about them (drug reports) once.. and he denied it. I was telling him that I didn't want to hear one day that he had overdosed, because it would break my heart and kill me too."

Lady GaGa is set to make waxwork history next month when bosses at Madame Tussauds simultaneously unveil eight figures of the singer across the world. The "Poker Face" star is set to be immortalized with a series of wax models as part of a multi-million dollar project which will debut internationally on December 9.

The Gaga figures will show off eight of her most famous looks, including the Phillip Tracey telephone hat she wore in London earlier this year and the white dress and lace face mask she sported at the 2010 Brit Awards. "Private Practice" star Kadee Strickland worked with rape victims to ensure her character's upcoming sexual assault storyline is as true to life as possible. The star plays Dr. Charlotte King in the hit U.S. drama and threw herself into research for the character's recent rape scene by working with America's Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network to ensure she did not underplay the devastating effects of a sex attack.

And she hopes her respectful portrayal will give victims the courage to come forward and receive counseling to try and overcome an assault. Strickland tells Fox News, "The thing I've learned from my work with survivors is that they want this (episode). The only way people can confront their feelings is to see that there are more outlets for their stories being told."

Moviemaker Eli Roth has lashed out at Advertising Standards Authority officials in Britain who have pulled down scary posters for his latest movie "The Last Exorcism", insisting they should spend more time censoring the U.K. media. The watchdogs insist billboards advertising the film, which opened in Britain in September, are "likely to upset children" and they've called on marketing companies to remove them.

The ASA bosses claim they've received a number of complaints over the posters, which feature a young girl doubled over, her dress covered in blood. Roth tells WENN that movie bosses have already created "creepy and effective" artwork that will replace the original "Last Exorcist" billboard, and he has approved it - but he suggests the censors should stop worrying about movie advertising and address the "ubiquitous" British tabloids.

Lindsay Lohan has taken a break from her rehab stint. The 24-year-old troubled actress, who is ordered to stay at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California until January 3, 2011, reportedly made a quick trip outside the facility on Tuesday, November 2 - she shopped at Forever 21 in Palm Desert, California with an unidentified female - Radar Online reported.

The store manager Tiffany Bennett confirmed Lindsay's visit to the site, saying "Lindsay came in two days ago with another young woman. Lindsay kept to herself, but was friendly. Lindsay bought a leopard sweater, a lot of pajama bottoms, and a ton of socks. Her choices were for leisure wear."

The new still from future "Glee" episode proves that Mr. Schue's charm extends beyond Teri, Emma and Rachel. McKinley High will welcome a new sub teacher while Mr. Schue is sick and she would come in the form of Gwyneth Paltrow. "Transformers" actor Shia LaBeouf is going to serve behind the lens for a short film to support Kid Cudi's new single "Maniac". The news emerged after a picture of Cudi holding a white sheet with message "Maniac, Kid Cudi, Cage - Dir: Shia LaBeouf " hit the web.

Oscar-nominated actress Jill Clayburgh died at her home in Lakeville, Connecticut on Friday, November 5 at the age of 66, The New York Times reported. Jill died of chronic lymphocytic leukemia, with which she had lived for 21 years, her playwright husband David Rabe said.

David revealed that Jill had fought the disease courageously, quietly, privately and conducted herself with enormous grace. When she passed away, Jill was surrounded by her family. Jill is survived by David, whom she was wed for 31 years, son Michael Rabe, actress daughter Lily Rabe and stepson Jason Rabe.

"Spider-Man" fans will have to wait until 2011 to see the superhero on Broadway - the musical's launch has been put back until January. "Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark", which features songs by U2 stars Bono and The Edge, was due to begin previews in New York on November 14 ahead of a December 21 opening.

But a series of onstage accidents has prompted a thorough review of safety procedures by state officials, who visited the set on Wednesday, November 3. Producers have now announced they have been forced to delay the show's opening amid the ongoing safety checks. Preview performances will now begin on November 28 and the musical's curtain will officially go up three weeks later than expected on January 11.

Hip-hop mogul Marion Suge Knight has lost his long running legal battle with Kanye West over a shooting at a Florida nightclub in 2005. Knight sued the "Stronger" hitmaker over allegations he was shot in the leg during a robbery at a party hosted by the star in Miami Beach five years ago.

A spokesperson for Selena Gomez has dismissed reports the star has reached out to Demi Lovato in a bid to patch up their friendship. The "Camp Rock" star has checked into rehab to deal with "emotional and physical" issues, scrapping her appearances on a tour with the Jonas Brothers.

Internet gossips began speculating about the 18 year old's relationship with Gomez, alleging a rumored feud between the former best pals could have played a part in Lovato's troubles. James Cameron has confirmed he's been ruled out as director of the upcoming "Cleopatra" movie. The "Avatar" filmmaker recently confirmed he had been in talks with bosses at Sony to bring the story of the Egyptian queen to the big screen, and he touted Angelina Jolie as his favorite to take the leading role.

But Cameron has now admitted he won't be stepping behind the camera to direct the upcoming epic, amid rumors he will be too busy directing two more "Avatar" films. He tells Fox News, "I am not doing Cleopatra. That has been decided."

Two days after the death of former contestant of "The Bachelorette" Julien Hug made headline, his family has released a shocking statement, revealing the cause of the demise. In a statement to People, Julien's parents claimed the one-time reality star took his own life.

"In his letter to us he stated that he was suffering from acute depression and he felt it was his only way out," Bertrand and Denise Hug said. "While publicly outgoing he was an extremely private person who internalized everything. FOX has unleashed four sneak peeks to the annual "Treehouse of Horror" episode of "The Simpsons" which is airing this Sunday, November 7. Among the pile is the clip where Daniel Radcliffe's vampire saves Lisa from an approaching bus. It spoofs a "Twilight" scene where Robert Pattinson's Edward Cullen protects Kristen Stewart's Bella from a skidding car.

"I play a Twilight-inspired vampire who befriends and falls in love with Lisa. It's actually the culmination of my life so far. It's everything I have been living for! There was a time when I was 12 or 13 when 50 per cent of everything I knew about the world came from The Simpsons so this is a big deal."

Janet Jackson has assured fans she has not quit music for good - she's planning to hit the studio next year to record a new album. The pop star has put her singing career "on the back burner" recently to concentrate on her acting work, with roles in Tyler Perry's movie sequel "Why Did I Get Married Too?" and his upcoming drama "For Colored Girls".

But Jackson is adamant she's not given up pop for good, and will return to making music in 2011. She tells Larry King, "Just because I've made two films back to back... it's always been a dream of mine to do something like this, so I kind of put music on the back burner to do this. And I will continue to do more films. But definitely, I can't give up music, it's in my blood. And I love, love, love performing. So I will make more music. I think I have thought to go into the studio (sic) and just take my time, fool around, next year."

Cee-Lo was devastated after allowing label bosses to scrap songs from his latest album - but he's hoping their ruthless edits will help him sell more records. The "Forget You" hitmaker wrote more than 70 songs for "The Lady Killer" but struggled to decide which tracks to include - so he turned to his label and management team for advice.

Green admits it was difficult to trust in the experts - but he's hoping their opinion will boost his sales. He tells the IrishTimes.com, "I'm disappointed that some songs I really liked didn't make it. I'd say to people 'I like this', but they preferred other songs. It was very difficult and awkward, heartbreaking even. I tried to talk people around, but it didn't work. It's the first time I've ever come across that in my career."

LeAnn Rimes was a noticeable absentee at the Shape magazine party on Thursday, November 4 - the country star stayed home after falling ill. The singer has been embroiled in controversy after editors put her on the cover of the American magazine, then subsequently apologized for their "terrible mistake" following complaints about the spread.

Ricky Gervais showed Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis he is "in charge" of British comedy - by gatecrashing their interview on a U.K. TV show. The pair appeared on morning show "Daybreak" on Friday, November 5 to discuss their new movie, "Due Date", but within a minute Gervais arrived onset and jokingly told them he would be sitting in on the chat.

After handing a list of spoof questions to interviewer Kate Garraway, Gervais then tried to coach the pair in how to give amusing answers - but all three ended up in fits of laughter. Gervais told the actors, "As you know, I'm sort of in charge of comedy entertainment in Great Britain, so I've just got to make sure everything goes to plan."

Lil Wayne must stay sober for the next three years. According to Arizona probation documents obtained by TMZ, the "Lollipop" hitmaker is banned from consuming alcohol. The documents became effective on Friday, November 5.

The papers mentioned that for the next 36 months, Weezy "may not consume or drink any substance containing alcohol" under the provisions of his probation. The 28-year-old rapper cannot posses illegal drugs, toxic vapors or controlled substances and he is also ordered to submit to drug and alcohol testing, per the probation department.

Sony Pictures has dropped the first teaser trailer for "Friends with Benefits" from director Will Gluck. The red band video opens with Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis who confess to each other that they miss having sex. The two then start having physical relationship without emotional attachment and when Kunis says she is too old for "casual sex", Timberlake offers something new by singing a song.

In this romantic comedy, Kunis is a young female headhunter in New York who convinces a potential recruit, played by Timberlake, to leave his job in San Francisco behind and accept a job in the Big Apple. Despite an attraction to each other, both realize they're everything they've been running from in a relationship and decide to become friends... with benefits. It's the perfect arrangement-until they realize there's no such thing as no strings attached.

Rihanna gets X-rated in "S&M", a newly-leaked dance track from her forthcoming studio album "Loud". The Barbadian songstress calls her devotees to explore their naughty side on the dance floor in this upbeat tune produced by Stargate and co-written by Ester Dean.

Perhaps Billy Ray Cyrus can pluck a lesson about family from his new job. The country crooner, who is in the middle of divorcing wife Leticia "Tish" Cyrus, has signed up for an inspiring new job, hosting TLC's "Homecoming". The limited series will see a reunion between soldiers and their unknowing family.
